Did the germans have better weapons durring ww2 ?

>bolt action copied by hundreds of other rifles and used today in combat

>MIGHTY GLORIOUS MG42 rapid rate of fire (erecting benis even now)
>better tanks (although over engineered aka hard to repair in feild)
>and finally sexier uniforms

No
>>
>>28519741
Also jet aircraft, helicopters (not sure if these were used but I know they were around), panzerschrek

At the start, no.
At the end, in some areas.
>>
>>28519633
early war, no.
late war, yes. totally. but not enough in number.
>>
>>28519633
No, they didn't have the greatest blah blah ever blah blahed
>>
>>28519741
>first assault rifle (if they had the stg at the beginning of the war we would shit post in German)

>implying small arms matter that much
>inplying the modified police Remington Model 8s weren't the first ARs
>>

>jet aircraft
Everyone but the Russians had one either fielded or in the working prototype stage by the end of WWII.
>>

Bolt-actions are still used today, anon, though that might surprise you. Many still using mauser actions.
>>
>>28520609
if you can put more lead down range than the other guy then you have a way better chance of surviving and winning the battle
>>
>>28519779
Panzerschrek was just a clone of the Bazooka. Seriously, they captured some bazookas in North Africa, and reverse engineered them.
>>
>>28519741
>implying the stg would have changed shit

They had some pretck.. ty good stuff. Ocuc... ocasionally a decent advantage. Machine guns like that MCu... MG34 and 42 were very good. C... C... CCCCCCCCCCCCUUUUUUUUUUUUCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKCCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK

FUCKING CUUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKKKSSSSSSSSSS RRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
>>
>>28520709
So if personal small arms have no real effect in war, why bother issuing them at all? It would save us a nice chunk of change.
>>
>>28519741
Considering the poor state of German logistics, the high rate of fire of the MG42 is a bad thing.

The high rate of fire doesn't provide any real benefits, but it uses a lot more ammo.
>>
>>28520626
Germans were the first to produce a jet aircraft. They were also the only country to use jets in a combat role in the war.
>>
>>28520722
>So if personal small arms have no real effect in war
Where was this stated? Where are you getting this idea from? Why are you retarded and strawmanning?
>>
>>28520722
God you are retarded beyond help.
>>
>>28520695
Of course, but that means jack shit in large scale.
>>
>>28520738
You don't count Meteors killing V1's as combat?
>>
>>28520725

Better for sweeping zerg rushes.
>>
>>28520738
Bull-shit
>>

As a main infantry rifle?
>>
>>28519633
Mmmmmm, how many fatherless black babies are those bulls going to pump into those fraus?
>>
>>28520738
and everyone else was close behind (british jets flew their first missions literally days after the first combat deployment of the me262 iirc)
and everyone else realized they did not need jets
and everyone else won the war
>>
>>28520759
Well I guess that is a worthy role. Would have been interesting to see the meteor engage the Luftwaffe. Bet it would have rekt house
>>
>>28520759
You count shooting target drones as combat?
>>
>>28519633

Some.
>>
>>28520769
They are basketball players from the US you retard.
>>
>>28520786
Doesn't quite answer my question?
>>
I guess the V-2 should get a mention. Wasn't terribly effective but pretty much set the stage for the space age. Rocket science was the crème de la crème of the Germans
>>
>>28520781
262 would have won
>>
>>28520682
As a marksman rifle, maybe. Nobody still uses them as their mainstay.
>>
>>28520851
Balto does.
>>
>>28520835
I can't see the advantages.
Slightly swept wings?
But then it's got four low velocity 30mm guns
Engines that burn out quickly
Yeah idk I think the meteor would be better
>>
>>28520859
I'm going to guess that's a real place because all I'm seeing is a cartoon dog and Baltimore, Maryland in Google.
>>
>>28520866
262 was I believe faster and with a better climbrate and similar or better maneuverability.

At the very least, the Me 262 could win more often than not by energy fighting.
>>
>>28519633
>The deadliest weapon in the world is a rifleman with his rifle
Yes. Yes they did.

yes, thanks to alien technology.

In which case the Americans win out since in the European theatre almost every single frontline soldier had at least a semi-automatic.
>>
>>28522285
not at all
>>
>>28520639

This faggot doesn't know US troops entered the war with 03 springfields
>>
>>28520782
No. But target drones aren't being fired at you by the enemy for the purposes of killing your civilian populace.
You dense motherfucker.
>>
No but they definetly got rekt :^}
>>
>>28522347
>still using bolt action rifles
>ONLY bolt action rifles
>HURRRRRR Americans still isued them DURRRR BTGO YANK, HURRR
They also had Garands. They were also in the process of phasing them out and did. Germans never even got close to phasing the Kar98 out.
>>
>>28522347
They were issuing out Garands in 36. It still takes a while to cycle out old junk, but most outside of the Marines had them pretty quickly.

If it can't fight back, it's not combat.
>>
>>28519741
>still using a bolt action for front line rifles
>the stg 44 weighs more than the federov avtomat and one could consider the latter's 6.5 arisaka to be an intermediate round by ballistics. The federov was introduced in 1915
>600-750 rpm is the sweet spot for man portable machine guns
>The sherman was the best tank of WW2
>sexy uniforms don't win wars

Germany was doomed from the start by pissing off more people than their infrastructure would ever be able to support fighting.

Germans had an early war advantage in their aircraft engines because they were injected (no fuel starvation upside down or pulling gees). They also had a top notch smg.

The Krauts were woefully behind on logistics
>>
>>28519633
Better weapons than who? The Japanese or the Serbs? Yes. Soviets? Mostly. The Brits? Not really. The Americans? Mostly no.
>>
>>28519633
Zieht dem Nigger die Lederhosen aus, Lederhosen aus....
>>
>>28522816
The federov shoots a round twice as strong as a typical intermediate. It also weighs slightly more loaded than the stg, not less.
>>
>>28523931
empty federov is 4.4kg
empty stg 44 is 4.6kg

6.5 arisaka shoots a 139 grain bullet at 2500 fps that's almost identical to 6.5 grendel (which nobody claims isn't intermediate) which shoots a 130 grain at 2510 fps. 6.5 arisaka is closer to something like 7.92x33 or 7.62x39 than it is to 30-06, 7.62x54, or 8mm mauser
>>
>>28519633
Let's look at the common examples:

>tanks
all of my NO
>stg-44
oversized overweight jam-o-matic intended to be disposable, not user servicable
several years late of "first assault rifle"
more than a decade past proto-assault rifles (full auto only or used a high powered cartridge, for example)
>mg-42
greatly simplified production, but couldn't
>sexier uniforms
You can thank the Massachusetts State Police
>>
>>28524723
The Mass Staties had similar uniforms? Any pics?
>>
>>28524723
Just because uniforms are similar doesn't mean they were ripped off.
That's like saying the Meteor was a rip off of the me-262. Developed independently, with striking similarities.
