MAJOR HELP REQUIRED
I'm about to buy one of theses however i need to know if it can take attachments like Muzzle Breaks or Suppressors?
I can't find any images online of one fitted with attachments like that.
All revolvers except for a select few have a cylinder gap between the face of the cylinder and the barrel. This means that gas will escape here instead of continuing out the barrel into the suppressor.
If you buy this revolver, you're buying it for it's aesthetics and it's functionality of having the barrel shoot from the lower bottom chamber.
If you're willing to shill out a grand for this beauty don't fucking cawadoody it you moron, you imbecile.
Don't buy it, you won't like it. Get yourself a Sig Mosquito or Walther P22. You can add all the silly stuff you want to them and the 22LR ammo won't break your little bird wrists.
I like my Rhino for its recoil characteristics, but it's not a subtle weapon. It's big, blocky, and the 60ds is the longest barrel length it comes in. It's also a revolver, which means - as has already been discussed - it leaks gas all over the place by design. In fact, you should take extra care when operating it because it will burn your supporting hand if you don't mind your grip.
look at where the fiery 'boom' stuff that makes your ears hurt gets blown out of the gun.
Then compare it to where the suppressor gets screwed on.
Same problem with almost all revolvers including the chiappa...
which is even more likely to make the fiery boom stuff cut off your finger 'cause the explosion takes place closer tho where you might accidentally place your hand.
and for comparison
imagine this fucking guy at the counter of a gun store
>uh yeah im just not so sure about this gun
>my buddies or slash kay slash ommandos over at 4chan seem to like it but im not so sure about it
>sales person when: "can i take a pic to see if they like it"
>mfw he comes bitching to us about how Chiappa is shit for making revolvers that don't index properly.
If you use little of brain you notice:
Boom comes from front of gun, suppressor on front of gun makes boom go away, boom coming from gap doesn't go away, boom still there, gun still loud, suppressor not work.
what's stopping you from putting anything on the barrel is the fact that on the chippa, is a giant chunk of metal, not a tube like most pistols, on top of that there's no reason for you to mount a suppressor, infact it might be potentially dangerous to do so.
Oh. Well, by that logic, yeah, go nuts tossing a suppressor on it. Why not? Might aswell if you have money to burn.
Better yet, send ME that money and I'll send you a threaded pipe...same effect on a revolver.
A supressor supresses the noise of the gas behind the bullet. A revolvers design is such that the gas escapes out in the gap between the cylinder and the bore, this makes a bang, making a supressor useless.
But why do I know I don't anything about guns which is why I'm on /k/
That's a Mateba Unica 6, also designed by Emilio Ghisoni but fundamentally different than the Chiappa Rhino.
Both the Unica 6 and the Rhino have barrels attached like the Dan Wesson Model 15, a barrel tube that is tensioner with a barrel nut and an outer shroud. The Wesson and the Unica 6 have barrels designed to be removed by the owner, the Rhino uses this setup solely to simplify production and the barrel isn't intended to ever be removed. Maybe with an assload of time and effort you could attach a suppressor to a Rhino and then feel like a fucking retard when it doesn't work at all. Be easier to bore out a Dragon Dildo and fit it to the muzzle, just as effective too!
