Got a new PC and am looking to restock my old cache. Share your pics! This ones a dead Japanese soldier on one of the islands.
Classic one here. Believe it was Peleliu. Dead Jap head posted on bunker with spine partially intact. Looks like he was either skinned or had his flesh seared off by a flamethrower/explosive
saw shit like this when i was deployed, this shouldn't be considered "edgy", war is a harsh harsh reality, this Japanese guy was probably some young baker just starting his life like the guy from from pic related (leters from iwo jima), this isn't bullshit.
OP here with another one. Dead SS Waffen soldier. Notice the caved in skull. Apparently was executed along with his friends. The SS were especially targeted by Allied forces, because often they believed the SS were not worthy of protection under the Geneva Convention.
So war is hell thread I guess? Dumping regardless
Dead Russian during Barbarossa.
e8 has ford gaa engine so they have 100 octane perhaps
Is this from a movie or something? Barrel is plugged.
delicious ammo fire
I wonder how easy it is to turn Sherman into soup kitchen
Why do some people fap to furry porn?
Everybody has their interests.
the guys name is Karl Hinett suffered 37 percent burns when crowd of angry Iraq's fire bombed his IFV in Basra Iraq in 2005
Not really graphic, but you could tell the guy with the Thompson is about to light somebody up.
It's war bro, deal with it. You shouldn't be surprised people on /k are interested in war photos.
That's inaccurate, man. That's not his spine, that's obviously a little post that they stuck his head on. And judging by the teeth, I'd bet he was immolated, not exploded or skinned.
Gotta wonder how anybody would have the sense of mind to snap a pic at that moment, you can tell by his face some serious shit is going down.
sorry got distracted.
>saw plenty of body parts after ied's went off
>little girls heads on sticks and in houses
> burning corpses, the smell is awful
shits awful, luckily the guy who got hit from my unit was killed instantly and didn't have to suffer.
Honestly that's my favorite war pic, shows how much of a shit show it really is
above 22 is priddy bad
if the dehydration does not kill the infections will
>even if you survive you skin keeps shrinking till you cant move/breathe
This one and the guy with the Thompson are mine, along with the Iwo Jima flag raising. Something about this one is eerie. You always hear about how chaotic the island battles were but here you have a lone Marine, no one else in sight, running in a hurried manner to avoid some danger off camera.
When I was at the Brooke Army Medical center I met and talked to a vet who's hand was blown/burned off, he had bandages all over him and it hurt him to move. Severe burn wounds are the worst man
>It's war bro, deal with it
Looks like a German executing someone. But the title of the image looks Asian..idk
Yeah, Okinawa was one shitty battle, people forget about it a lot of times but it was one of the largest battles of the war. I think it comes down to their faces, you can tell they're scared and fighting for their lives more than anything else.
The civilian casualties were insane too. Either committed suicide because the Japs lied to them about the "barbaric" Americans coming to convert them to Christianity, or were killed in crossfires.
Yeah man, that battle was fucked up. Rules of war thrown out the window
German soldier returns home to find his family is dead, 1946
Ah, my mistake. Here's a police chief executing a Viet-Cong. Guy who took the photo said he just meant to snap a pic of
the man but as he brought his camera up this happened.
That pic is fucking tight. Feels like you're right there. Is it WW2?
Nazi's at it again.
the worst I have heard of some kids were huffing fly spray in a confined space
a fire ball ensued and crisped three of them
and threw the window across the road on to the neighbours roof
Really? Image description said police chief and I believe in the documentary "First Kill" it referred to him as that. No biggie though.
Here's Germans killed by the Soviets. As much as Germans committed war crimes, the Soviets were just as bad when they pushed into Germany. Over 100,000 women were estimated to have been raped during the Battle of Berlin.
Thought that was Sgt. Barnes for a sec lol
I see in this article it lists the general as the chief of national police, I think that might be what confused me
Shit gets passed around and ends up in hadji hands, then gets liberated by some Marines
If you read down it says he opened a pizza restaurant called Les trois continents. War is a strange thing indeed. .gif of execution included
Nazi's gonna Nazi.
That's a good one. Ruined Reichstag looming in the background.
Yep, Ruskies fucked their shit up pretty good
Tell me that smoke isn't the Jap machine guns..Amazing pic though. Never seen some of these high quality, tight angle pics before; most WW2 photos are grainy and from a distance.
you can still find some in people's homes in Iraq. When I was there, we found one in some guys house and traded him an AK for it. Then it got hung up in my company's TOC and may or may not have its way back to the states somehow
>a german reserve soldier is using one of the millions of foreign rifles the Wehrmacht captured or ordered to supplement their supply of domestic produced mausers, that means he isn't really german!
Looks like the poor guy lost his pants..I see little flaps but that might be skin...
Not the one in that post, The one hes' replying to.
Bro that's not Vietnam. They didn't do massive amphibious landings there and they're all carrying M1A1's
You guys are probably both wrong. That body has started to decompose and bodies release fluids from all holes when that happens. That is most likely the cause, rape being 2nd.
winter war was the proof that hell is a cold place
Anybody else notice the "brutal nazi" poster is using images that were confirmed doctored by soviet propagandists?
A couple in particular are Serbian Partisans.
Another is an obvious re-enactment superimposed over a brick background.
The crimes of Nazi Germany are myriad, but the horror of war is lessened when "re-creations of historical events" are used for modern political purposes.
OP here, thanks for all the pics guys, found some really cool ones. Didn't expect this thread to get this big. The /kommandos came through tonight!
Fun fact: that guy who was executed led a VC unit that targeted high ranking ARVN officers and their families. One the generals who was killed was friends with the guy with the gun in the picture, so when he found out who did it he just shot him on the spot.
the wad takes most of the scratches
and is not useful as evidence even when recovered
and since bla and gsr have been debunked
there is even less to go on
keep track of your shell casings tho
You know what is worst?
how can you not tell the difference between and m14 and an m1 and be on this board..
I come in here to remind myself of why I didn't enlist
That partially, but mostly just remind myself that war is a thing, and that we're all equal at the end of the day. No matter how big you are, or how hard you train, 7.62 can and will fuck you up.
I've posted that pic in other threads It's the 7th Marine Division during Operation Piranha in 1965
Studying the Winter War made me question just what all those Russians were thinking while their blood froze and turned the snow red.
Finnish officer executing a Russian desant (parachute-dropped spy/saboteur) in some frozen forest.
The sad part is that the desants were often prisoners who were forced on these missions alone without their will.
There's a cool documentary about Japan before, during and after the war with color material:
The Okinawa scenes show people jumping off cliffs and a dead kid floating in the water.
They thought (because of propaganda) that the Americans are going to torture, rape and kill them all. Especially torture them - it's really sad.
There's also a sad part from someone's diary about the days when they finally see who they are fighting that goes something like:
>the Americans arrived today but these cannot be the ones we were told about. They are just young boys and they act friendly instead of raping and executing everyone. Some are giving children chocolate - it MUST at least be poisoned?
Total shock when confronted with the fact that the other guys were people too.
You can clearly see that the others guys are using the k98, judging by the front of the barrel, also doesnt even seem like they're killing them or aiming at them, more of like defending from fire
Okay this is all from my mother
>maternal grandfather is living on his land, pretty big.
>The War is approaching, going to school is pretty much a no no at this point for my mom.
>He decides to leave since a bombing or attack could happen at anytime.
>my greatgranddad doesn't want to leave.
>granddad tries to persuade him but it didn't work so he just gave up and escorted the family to safer land and will comeback to get him.
>brought the family over to the newer home in a safer place and goes back to bring GGF to the new location.
>Gets a rebel EPLF soldier to help him find a safe path to the old home.
>During the escort to the house on a safe route the soldier stepped on a mine (all over the place) but my grandfather went unscathed since he was sufficiently far enough.
>Got the GGF then went back to the new home where since they were out i na rural area shit was pretty tense due to the war being ever present.
it's wasn't just that some of the women where raped and rather then go back to there families they killed them selves you see a lot of mixed black asian kids in koreamost which were raped some were from relationships but most were from rape
the one with the tiger makes sense. i dont know much about tanks, but i think anyone that could avoid putting stress on the barrel of a machine as expensive as a tiger would. there are lots of trees
The source of that stuff is basically a website that uses a bunch of obviously photoshopped (not even real propaganda stuff) for its agenda that the Germans didn't do anything and then went straight to holocaust denial.
You know it's funny, I've been studying WW2 for over 10 years and never have I seen any of the photos on the left hand side until this image.
You know what else is funny? The fact that they think the Einsatzgruppen wore 'tactical' SS combat uniforms when out in the field. That shit is laughable.
Honestly, those sorts of images were done by some nazi-boo /pol/tards with little to do than shitpost.
The weight of 1 person on the barrel, even at the very end (maximum leverage) is absolutely nothing for a mechanism built not only to elevate the considerable weight of the barrel and breech, but also handle the recoil from firing. You could line 'em up the full length of the barrel without breaking anything.
I'm sure there's plenty of manuals out there forbidding climbing/sitting on the barrels of tanks/AFVs, that has more to do with preventing dumb tankies doing dumb shit that gets themselves hurt.
Same, whoever made that picture is strawmanning pretty hard there.
Also lel at the TACTICAL SS COMBAT UNIFORM thing in the "yugoslavian partisan with a M24/48" pic, units used in anti-jewish operations wore a myriad of uniforms, and the picture is too blurry to make out enough details other than the fact that he's wearing a bog-standard European WW2 era uniform, including a garrison cap, tunic with breast pockets, jackboots and breeches. It's true that it doesn't mean that the soldier is German, but also it doesn't make him Yugoslavian, especially since the rifle he's using is almost certainly some variant of the Czech vz 24, used widely by Germany (especially by police, SS and anti-partisan units).
Some time ago I have found "original" for our favorite "nigger removal operations webm's"
Its, contains some graphic footage too, but they are just black african gentlemens and mostly communists (It is therefore an act of mercy)
Good thread OP. I just finished watching the World at War series. I gained a lot of respect for the young soldiers who fought in WWII, like I can't imagine how terrifying it has to be to be trapped on a tiny island with 5000 japanese soldiers who want nothing more than to kill you. Literally waking up every day knowing that, for a large part, it depends pretty much on pure luck if you survive the day.
no you fucknuts this russian got popped in the head by an realy angry Chechen after he had died from the fire already. fire was out when his brains come out, otherwise it would have burned black too and not being so pinky fresh. this dudes case was detailed ascertained
I find these way more unnerving that actual gore, just trying to comprehend what is going trough their mind knowing that their time on earth is almost gone and there is nothing they can do about it makes me feel fucking uncomfortable
