What was your first handgun /k/?
My Dad said that he'll give me his old snub .38 special (I don't remember who it was manufactured by, but it looks like pic related) if I do well this semester. So I'll probably own a handgun two years earlier than I expected to.
My first handgun was this Colt King Cobra. I picked it up at a gun show when I had to provide my own sidearm for a security job. I found this for $450.
my father got me a glock 19 and a nice bottle of whiskey for my 21st; work hard this semester anon.
first thing I ever bought myself was an old model q0 because
>didn't have to worry about buying extra magazines
>was just going to be for plinking
>will make a better heirloom to pass on then a glock
the fucking faggot behind the counter kept trying to get me to by some HK or glock. Everytime I told him now he;d laugh and say "yeah yeah. Its an alright choice...I guess. but you know youd get more out of this glock 19 is all"
I never went back to that store
Still got it.
Shoots like a dream and hits like a truck with Hornandy Leverloution ammo
Smith & Wesson model 10. Now that particular pistol is long gone but my current one is pure sex. Accurate as hell, very easy to shoot and I love the .38 Special. Is a great cartridge for close range. You'll love your dads snubby as long as its not a charter arms, Rossi or Taurus. Ruger, colt, S&W are the big names.
I'm fairly sure pic related is a Charter Arms, Off Duty or Undercover (don't remember the difference between the models)
My first pistol was my CZ, third gun I bought
S&W Model 10. My brother-in-law was Boston PD in the 80's and he gave it to me. he bought it from the department when they moved away from revolvers. It's got "property of Boston Police Department" stamped on the tang.
Good pistol to learn on.
You are me in another reality. I still have the 2001-vintage M85, which is the year I turned 21.
Everyone's first handgun should be a revolver and it looks like that's the case for most people.
OP here. My Dad says that it's a "BSA .38 police special" (those were his exact words, hence the quotes). What level of quality should I expect? We're out of town, and I haven't got any pictures of it. I also can't seem to find any pictures of it online.
A ancient Ruby that belonged to my grandfather, given to me by my dad.
It was in rough shape, but after replacing pins, cleaning the rust out, and getting it duracoated it works fine.
Makes a good carry when hunting due to how tiny it is and how durable the duracoat is
I liked manhunter as well anon
Also just bought a second one a few minutes ago
>$125 + $10 shipping
>Comes with holster
>Is a manufacturer that neither me or my dad have
Now to make a decision
I was wanting to get 2 Ruby's that weren't in great shape and have them recoated all fancy-like, should I feel bad at all if I were to get the nickel-plating removed in favor of some gaudy finish?
This is my first and I bought it a couple weeks ago
bought this a couple years ago. Still my only handgun for now.
My first pistol was a MPA m11-9sa, got it with my graduation money
Your bait is so terrible that I'm not even going to give you the satisfaction of a (you). You don't get a picture of a fish either. Try harder next time faggot.
>implying that I'm old enough to purchase a handgun
wish I waited a few weeks to get a german p228 instead
Charter Arms Bulldog Pug in 44 special, bought it off of my late older brother with my George W Bush stimulus. Sold it a few years later to my godbrother who ruined it with rust and pitting
