I love ranged weapons, the whole idea of mastering a tool to lob a projectile into the exact spot you want it is super fun to me for some reason.

I got a shotgun certificate no problem. It may have helped that I applied at the same time as my section 1. The police officer said "you've applied for shotguns as well, do you have somewhere you can shoot them?"
I said "no, but I'll have a look around for a clay range when I get a shotgun"
