Bong here. Can somebody give me a rundown on this gun control stuff. All the bbc is doing is showing obama crying.
It affects an incredibly small amount of people since the ATF would have to show you're monetarily supporting yourself from the sale of guns and you're not a collector selling and trading. I heard Obama once cried when his wings were too spicy.
I read an article that specifically singled out the language "Executive Action" instead of Executive Order" which seems to imply he wont actually do anything, because he literally can't. he'll just make memos, call congressmen, etc etc and leave it on the table
As a bong, I shouldn't care if AR-47s with baby-killing assault clips are taken away by Obama.
However - if they are - every second thread on /k/ at that point will be about it, and that would seriously affect my shitposting experience.
King Nigger is crying because he wanted gun control to be part of his legacy but Congress Cucked him and now all he can do is force through these pathetic executive orders.
I suppose that by crying because he can't get what he wants he'a representing his average supporter pretty well, though.
Why is this so funny.
I literally can't stop laughing.
It's not a good laugh either.
It's a "oh god the abyss really does stare back" kind of laugh.
It would piss me off since the yanks will have loads of their lefties screaming "yay now we are more like Europe!"
Yeah. As a Brit I don't see myself as European, Americans don't want to go the way of Europe. I don't get why Starbucks socialists worship Norway/Sweden and all that so much. I want a more American influence. Not cola and bitches but the patriotism/ideals of freedom and "fuck you I'm better than you"
When I worked as a contractor in the UK, Germany, and France I found a lot of the people hated me simply because I was American. I wasn't obnoxious, I did my job, I kept to myself, yet everyone was so self-centered and were so stuck-up and arrogant they didn't care.
I kept to myself, did my work, and after 8 year total of living in Yurop I was finally happy to return home.
That's also when I realized just how lucky I have it in America. Sure it's got flaws, especially here in my home state of Colorado, but in most major European cities I rarely saw Europeans. Most of the people I saw were North Africans, or Arabs. Rarely did they even speak German or French, much less English.
Essentially the executive order is clarifying what it means to be a firearms dealer, with the goal of getting more gun sales to require a background check. People are upset because they don't like the idea of the executive acting without the legislative branch to make law, a legitimate philosophical/legal concern that I agree with, but in all honestly the practical impact of this law will be minuscule. The biggest impact this will have on American /k/ommandos is creating a shitstorm that pushes prices up.
>"fuck you I'm better than you"
I used to bleed patriotism but as I grow older and more cynical I have a hard time being proud of America. Left and Right are both just watered down hive minds ready to march in lock step with the party regardless if goes against their ideals. America used to be a land of great individuals seizing opportunity and striving to be the best. Now everyone is perfectly content as long as there is gas is cheap and a Wal Mart is close by.
