Folding stocks on an HD shotgun. Useful feature or retarded

This ATI stock is 100 times better than those stupid blackhawk stocks. It makes my 3" slugs shoot softer than baby shit. Works just fine for me. I'm not about to drop over $300 on a shotgun. If I'm spending more than that, I'm getting a rifle. Eat shit.

It didn't have a pistol grip and didn't telescope or fold. It also didn't have a very good recoil pad for female shooters. I wanted something the lady could use easily when I'm not home.

The only real difference between the Mav88 and 500 these days is the trigger group and maybe still the way the action bars (yes plural) attach to the forend. And don't quote me on this, but I think I've heard that the 500 has switched over to the one-piece molded design as well.

there are 500s that use the same forend/pump assembly as the 88 but for now its only on the budget models usually the ones with plasticstocks and combobarrels
the majority stil use the normal ones
