best pellet gun for under $100 in my opinion

I agree. It's good for pistol whipping.
Hurts like hell!

It's a weapon isn't it? Stop trying so hard to fit in just because you saw someone do it in an airsoft thread. You're doing it wrong.
>>
>>23551729
Fuck off, there's a huge difference between airshit and actual airguns.
>>
>>23551920
>>23551729
>>23551880
>>23551908

Yeah guys, it saids right on the side "not a toy" jeez
>>
>>23551908
It isn't a weapon. At best it is used for pest control. I don't consider a mouse trap or rat poison weapons.
>>
>>23551920
Just because something isn't a toy doesn't mean it is a weapon
>>
Don't air rifles compare rather closely to actual rifles, at really close range? In terms of plinking, not shooting something
>>
>>23551949
Its an actual weapon though it propels a projectile to kill shit.

Anyone who says different is ignorant.
>>
>>23551681
Definitely the Crossman 2240, they're like, 40 bucks. With the other 60 bucks you can order a big bore breech and a 9mm barrel liner to use as a barrel. Then bore your valve out and convert it to PCP.

Then CC your completely legal single shot 9mm. Better than nothing in a mugging and tons of fun for plinking and varmit hunting.
>>
>>23552016
So bug spray is a weapon? It propels stuff to kill shit. Doesn't make it a weapon.
>>
>>23551993
Totally depends which air gun you are talking about. If you wanted to punch paper at close range, the pumpmaster in the picture would be kind of similar to a .22 pistol. On the other end of the air rifle spectrum are 1000+ fpe big bores and select fire 9mms.

>>
>>23552039
I can't see being able to get any kind of decent performance out of that kind of barrel length for a 9mm... Even if you are just talking gut gun, I don't think the length is there.
>>
>>23552086
>>23552091
A weapon is defined by its function and use. A BB gun isn't designed for, nor used for, inflicting bodily harm. It is used for pest control and recreation.
>>
>>23551968
Its seems abut as effective as a .22 at close range.

>>23552043
Technically it would be a (rather weak) chemical weapon.
>>
I have a couple airguns that're higher quality and cost more than some of my real guns.

Got one of these in .20 from the 1980s. Shoots better than I can.
>>
>>23552125

So target guns and race pistols aren't /k/ related?
>>
>>23552125
If you're so sure, just report the thread, hide it, and move on.
>>
>>23552101
When you buy the barrel you can cut it to any length you want. It's still more ft. lbs. than the standard .22.

Personally I'm hoping to build something like this one day.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m5nzmDuZfP0
The guy says it got over 200 ft. lb. from that shot, it flattened the bullet pretty nicely. He also says it should get around 400 ft. lbs. when he's done with it. Runs off 4,500 psi stored in the titanium cylinder grip. Uses a dump valve.
>>
>>23552135
nice are those custom grips or did they used to come like that? I was tempted to buy a P1 for a while but I could never get past how picky springers are with hold and such. I am gonna go PCP I think. what else ya got?
>>
>>23552125
A pellet gun is used for targets and shooting small game like birds and rodents.

Its a weapon still.
>>
>>23551968
Until you catch a lead pellet in the skull.
It shoots lead. That's close enough!
>>
>>23552217
Oh shit that is a cool build! I have never seen that, I found the post of the yellow forum about it and apparently that was a 200 bar shot and it can take 300! That is crazy lol I would be surprised if that crosman could handle pressures like that though, you might be better off modding a marauder pistol or something unless you can make a custom like that one.

Those are Beeman's "combat" grips. Not sure if they still offer them. They're HUGE and even though I have big hands I might get something smaller. It uses 1911 grips.

It's a manly air pistol. Heavy, hard to cock, recoils quite a bit, shoots a large pellet. Good if you're trying to train yourself to shoot a handgun or hunt rats.

I have a couple cheap air guns, but I also have a '80s Daisy El Gamo Super Match 126 10M target rifle. These things were Olympic grade back in the day but no one will supply parts for them now so she doesn't work right now.
>>
>>23552367
Dam that's a shame. You should check around GTA or the yellow forum, I would bet someone would be willing to fix that for you for a reasonable price.
>>
>>23552400

I'm on Yellowforum. This gun is basically an example of how parts supply can sink your gun. As of 8 years ago only a couple guys were fixing these and they were pricks, and now they say they can't get parts. Some people have managed to make their own and I'm trying to find out what they did.

It's a funky gun. It's sort of a Walther LGR copy but they added a gas-filled hydraulic piston. Those all died so I machined a solid delrin plug to replace it, but then my main seals and exahust valve died.
>>
>>23551681
does anyone have a marauder pistol? I an looking at getting one with the prod double kit and maybe a 3-9x32 hawke and a tko break
>>
>>23552135
Do you have to rack the slide or is it semi auto
>>
>>23552367
>Daisy
>Olympic grade
Pick one
>>
>>23552568

It's a top-break springer.

>>23552574
>being this pleb

It was made by Gamo in Spain in the '70s-80s before they were known for making cheap shit. Has a German Walther barrel. I believe a few of these were used in the 1984 Sarajevo Olympics.
>>
>>23551681
I've got a Beeman P17 which was about $40 bucks and is stupidly accurate. (will post pic later if thread is still up.) It's a copy of a Wierach or something like that.

It's a single stroke PCP because multipump a shit if you ask me.

Also is it just me or are the sperglords who go on about airguns(excluding airshit) not being weapons always half retarded neckbeards who own zombie swords and shit and likely have never owned a gun?
>>
>>23552679

Weihrauch makes Beeman's better guns, including the P3. The P17 is a cheap Chinese copy of the P3. Funny they sell them side by side.

Actually, I'm the guy with the P1 and if I hadn't gotten such a deal on it I would have bought a P3. The P3 is an easier gun to shoot.

Its like you don't even ISSF
>>
>>23552367
Shit posting aside Plinkington Guns should either be able to repair that gun or direct you to some one that can. I have a very strange FWB 700 that they were able to find replacement parts for, which most people thought was impossible.
>>
>>23552679
No, alot of people own powder burners and air rifles. They are both fun and useful and serve different purposes.

>>
>>23552948
how bout a 1000 fpe .50 PCP instead?
>>
>>23552756
I'm not the same anon, but I have been looking at getting into pcps and it is expensive to get even a low end setup with a hand pump and some halfway decent glass.
>>
>>23552738
I've heard if you are lucky you can get a p17 that shoots extremely well for the price, but its very hit or miss.
>>
>>23552454
yikes... well good luck with that, sounds like a very odd gun to work on.
>>
>>23552948
Yeah, except that isn't what OP has pictured. Nice try though. There are plenty of things which aren't weapons that I wouldn't want hitting me in the face.
>>
>>23551681
Grew up shooting a 1300 medalist in 22. Learned a lot shooting that.
>>

Nope. Get the Backpacker. Longer barrel. .22, removable stock. Much nicer

I bought that piece of shit. Couldn't group @ 12 yards let alone 25-50. Fucking springers are shit.

Well your iron sights suck compared to mine, i can hit a squirrel at 50 yard with not much effort other than having to rest my rifle.

hey i got one of those, but wasted my money because i don't even trust it to do a damn thing to any part of an animal without metal fancy pellets, not very much power.
