B-but that's not so /k/'ish
Just minor SAF stories that are being told around the army.
Nothing big really, both stories are legit but its not good manners to brag about it in public so you have to go to the army records for physical proof.
The closest thing to these two however was the time two JAS pilot kicked out Air Force One from Swedish air space since it did not permission to fly in it. Aboard was president Gerald Ford and his foreign minister Henry Kissinger.
So yeah, these types of events are not uncommon in the SAF, and they always go behind the school yard and giggle about it for years until the next farce.
That specific polandball comic is a bit over autistic about it though.
But Sweden is autistic in general anyway...
Does anyone has that comic where US travels in time and ingland steal his glasse?
Probably. But who isn't?
stop being so cute
>One from Swedish air space since it did not permission to fly in it. Aboard was president Gerald Ford and his foreign minister Henry Kissinger.
I have never heard of this ever, so after using teh google I see that a dozen US fighter bombers then took over swedens air space for the next 3 hours with impunity.
So.... sweden bullied a defenseless commercial airliner then pissed itself and hid while 12 jets of equal attack capabilities ran yours off and had it's way with your females. You think you have any balls you fagots? Go back to your money laundering and leave military power to nations that produce testosterone. .
First one about the SR-71 ha never been confirmed and is more of an hear say.
Submarine part are from when the Americans rented a Gotland-class submarine.
I don't know what the big deal is either, that book by one of the SR-71 pilots says that they were regularly locked onto and just outran the missiles. The Sled wasn't a stealth aircraft, it was just fast.
The SR-71 was a first gen stealth aircraft. The SAF never had any ambition to shoot the SR-71, rather the missile locks was just to show that they could lock on to it. Sort of the equivalent of pinging a foreign submarine.
There is even an incident where one engine blew up over the baltic and the SR-71 was escorted by Viggens to Nordholz in Germany.
These never fails to entertain me.
What is /int/ concept of "clay"? I have a vague idea, but nothing definitive.
At my old airbase where i was stationed during my years in the swedish airforce there was a framed letter from the US Airforce with "Congratulations for getting a missile lock on our SR71 blackbird" on it on the wall in our rec room.
So yeah, It happened. Pic very related
see the main problem was that all the Polish nobles would go "muh liberty" and refuse pay anything towards the military. So most of the battles would be fought by some rich Polish duke and his private army
Listen to me, all right? Finland is a hardcore motherfucker, I've told you that before. He did time in Pelican Bay because he turned some sheboon into a Pez dispenser back in his Klan days. I mean, the guy will slay you where you fucking stand just as soon as buy a round or clap you on the back.
Now, when I asked Finland to give me his opinion of the President Obama, he said, "Norway, I've turned out a lot of punks, but I've never seen a high yellow fuck boy as soft as this punk. I mean I'd drive a shank into his asshole just to make a point or if I wanted his corn muffins and he wouldn't give 'em to me off his tray." I realized then that if we didn't start The Day of the Rope, Finland would fucking kill me. I saw it in his eyes.
He even told me as much onetime. My wife, she invited him over for dinner, and he shows up in a Klan coat stained with blood, shit, God knows what else. She screams and he sticks his hand up her skirt, kisses her, then pulls out a straight razor and says, "If your old man doesn't win this race war, I'm going to cut your fucking tits off before I even think about wasting the Kikes."
-Norway, recounting the tension between himself and Finland during the internet cartoon edit wars
Britain spent every penny it had on fighting WW1, and it had not recovered economically before WW2 broke out. Fighting WW2 required enormous loans from the US and compromising with the Indian Home Rule movement (whereby Britain would give up India in exchange for India's complete co-operation in WW2). After WW2 it was in the strategic interests of the US to prevent Britain from recovering as well as it might have, and so British imperial aims - such as stopping Nasser in Egypt and fighting communism in Malaysia - were brushed aside by the Americans. At the same time Britain could not afford to pay for a military as large as it had fielded during WW2, so there were enormous cuts; this particularly affected Britain's position in the world as the Royal Navy's size was drastically reduced. Britain also introduced comprehensive welfare reform starting in 1948, which drastically changed the government's expenditure priorities. Finally, by the 1960s, Britain's place in NATO had been codified (namely: anti-submarine warfare in the GIUK gap, continued land presence in Germany) so any other interests were considered unimportant; Britain's remaining Imperial possessions could not pay for themselves and so were granted independence.
actual, literal clay, regardless of who lives there. Thus Hungarians shrieking "GIBE TRANSLYVANIAN CLAY!!!11", or Argentines shrieking "GIBE MALVINAS CLAY!!!1111". They want the land.
Not really true, but as the country had been ravaged by previous invasions (also by the swedes), the country was very divided and the only reason the war lasted so long was russian aid.
Funny thing is that Sweden did more damage to Poland during the deluge than the nazis did during WWII. Poland lost a third of its population and was pretty much completely looted and Warsaw was levelled with the ground.
The Deluge should be around the same time as the Thirty Years War, if my vague history knowledge serves me right, the most devastating war ever fought in germany, and the swedes played a huge role in there.
>tfw you want to see polish national treasures and go to stockholm
Dont know if this one has been posted yet, but it always makes me chuckle.
russia did too, unless they lied to be when i went to see the scorpion at the queen mary thing. They had the picture on the sub(also they wouldnt let us on the controll deck thing, but we pushed almost all the buttons and closed the doors.)
