Looking into getting my first single action revolver for plinking/general shooting, narrowed it down between a Blackhawk in .357/9mm or one of their Single Tens.
.22 is obviously a great plinking choice and has advantage of ammo price, but I can't help but think I might get bored and prefer being able to switch it up and shoot 9mm or .38 as well as .357 if I want something with a bit of kick.
Thoughts, any of you shot either of these?
>>34256850
Sorry to tell you this, but which ever one you get, you'll get hooked and buy the other one shortly after. Not to mention you'll also get a 44 mag after that.
Those things are a drug.
(Still missing my 45Colt/45ACP convertible all cool ones are elusive unicorns in Leafland)
>>34256850
The convertible is a pretty good choice, I recommend it.
Know that the bore is slightly tighter for the 9mm Luger bullets, so if you're gonna do some adventurous handloading or shoot some particularly hot .357 Magnum, you need to account for the fact that pressure can get a lot higher than usual.
>first actual mass shooting with an AR
>50+ shots from less than a meter away
>one injured
now that the AR has been exposed, what do you buy instead?
AR.
ARs are garbage anyway. Only faggots and manlets unironically like them.
It wasn't an AR in all likelihood.
how does one learn to effectively stalk and evade enemies without being glassed, /k/?
how do you perfect the art concealment?
The mindset is important. Dont think people are looking for you because they arent. Unless they've already seen you. People have attention spans that are very short. Play that to your advantage. Also the human brain is programed to see the outline of a person very easily. Break up your silhouette and you wont be spotted as easily. Blacks dont appear in nature. Nights arent black, purples and blues are better than black. Dont use shitty cammies.
i don't know if it's relevant but our sgt major told us a story about when the army was fighting communist guerrillas in the mountains
the short of it is: pretend to be the enemy
he told us about a platoon that was doing a patrol innawoods, and at the same time, a guerilla cadre was roaming around the same area.
apparently they crossed paths at some point, and neither unit noticed the other, however, one commie got confused joined the army patrol accidentally.
since guerrillas stole their uniforms from regular troops, no one noticed this until they arrived back at the FOB, where the soldiers quickly realized this faggot was wearing the wrong boots
he was questioned and promptly executed.
lesson learned: if you look like the enemy, they might notice you but they won't NOTICE you
practice stalking extremely close to hiking trails. Something like pic related is very helpful in my experience, you fill all the elastic loops with local foliage. Every movement you make should be extremely slow, I mean taking 30 seconds just to turn your head to one side slow. People will often walk by with dogs so it forces you to get pretty damn good pretty fast. It also has the motivation factor of making you really not want to get caught so you dont look like a complete autist.
>tfw I was told that the Swiss army wants to keep the 550 until 2050.
Are these guys retarded or what? Why can't they switch to a modern platform instead of this outdated shit rifle?
because contrary to popular belief, you dont need cutting edge weaponry for ground troops to be effective.
>>34256410
Does it shoot bullets rapidly and is reliant in rain, mud and snow?
If yes, good to go.
>>34256410
They keep it in active service till 2030 and maintain it till 2050 when its finaly phased out of the militia.
Initial thoughts:
>amazing grip (ZONE)
>long, but smooth DA with a definitive wall at end
>great reset, great single action
>conceals great, reminds me of an old PPS
>"it fits in an xds holster" is a meme, fits like a glove in a S&W M&Pc holster. Everything else is way too small as the trigger guard is in a different place.
>slide is really easy to manipulate
Otherwise, recent purchase thread?
>>34256134
Just traded a norinco nhm91 for pic related.
>>34256392
I shot one a few days ago. All the fun of the HK slap with the cheap ammo of an AK, nice!
Why do i often see people firing prone without their magazine touching the ground when using the magazine as a monopod for added stability is a great way to improve accuracy?
Compared to this.
>>34255636
Some guns (the AR being one) are finicky. Put pressure on the mag or pull it in any direction and you'll cause feeding issues.
>>34255668
>Put pressure on the mag or pull it in any direction and you'll cause feeding issues.
If this happens then your AR is out of spec.
Why don't you own the best semi-auto of WWII yet Anon?
That's a funny looking M1 Garand.
>>34255305
If it was so good, then why was it replaced with the AK within a decade?
If it was so simple, then why was it only the main service weapon in Stalin's delusional dreams?
If it was so accurate, then why did sharpshooters use Mosins instead?
>>34255344
Because AKM was best infantry weapon until AK74 came out
>trying to install fiber optic insert into my front sight
>tfw too scared to use a lighter so I can't
>>34254727
You own a gun and are too scared to use a lighter?
>>34254754
Just scared of using a cigarette lighter like in pic.
It's weird. I can handle high brass 00 buck, M44 mosins and I'm perfectly comfortable carrying appendix but this freaks me out more than anything.

Are you retarded?
Questions That Don't Deserve Their Own Thread thread.
Was grapeshot lightly welded together, and broke apart on firing, or am I missing something?
From all the images I can find of grapeshot it looks to be the case, but I can't imagine them being able to do so without weldrod.
Help me understand please.
>another thread full of interesting questions that should have had their own thread to push out the shitposters
>>34254654
Interesting questions threads are best when they are started and populated by people who are knowledgeable at the topic at hand.
You're asking for shitposts to be replaced by topic specific shitposts.
So, in the wake of this new debacle, any speculation on what he might have used?
Also, anyone else going to get into stockpiling again?
What happened this time?

Why do people do people spent hundreds of dollars on shit with that shit on it?
According to Human Rights Watch, its effects are terrible for civilian.
So why the US are using this?
>>34253502
Because its effects are terrible on soft targets. Nothing like being burned alive by a chemical substance you need to scrape off with a knife.
>>34253502
Because heretics must be purged anon..

I believe white phosphorus is still permitted to be used against material targets and maybe as a smoke screen.
