However the "if safely possible" can be flexible and can also account for someone you're defending. Walking with your grandma who can't run? No duty to retreat. In a corner or fenced off? Magpul CTR haver here.
Recently I got to shoot some guy's SOPMOD stock and it felt pretty nice having that slope. Is there some sort of product on the market that clips onto the side of my existing buttstock so I can have that slope too? Given the number of MOE and CTRs out there it seems like something of the sort should exist.

Try to keep it as close as possible to NATO spec though, I haven't had any problem with NATO spec 147 grain PMC, spanish milsurp or samson ( IWI ) 150 grain. If you go for hot loads, you might get decapitated cases.
