Seeing as swords have predominantly been sidearms I'd say you're good to go with any sword you want outside zweihänder, odachi, claymores, or other great swords.

What's a good handgun and carbine rifle combos?
I want a gun for both, Lubbock Texas is boring as shit, and I don't got much money to buy rifle and pistol ammo.
I'm thinking hog hunting with a 45acp carbine, or getting a 22lr pistol and rilfe for small game
Or, just get a old rusty shotgun
Single shot, rem 870, mav 88 etc etc
Anywho, post your thoughts and opinions

Shotgun is good for squirrel, rabbit, bird, buck, hog and home invaders
Not to mention it's cheaper than getting a carbine and pistol, even if they're both .22lr it's roughly $400

I'm also cross-eye dominant. I simply close my left eye. Yes, this fucks with your field of view. Yes, this (minorly) fucks with your depth perception, although you can get around this by closing it at the last second. No, it does not preclude being able to shoot both-eyes-open with optics, you still get the reticle in view.

I have the same issue, just chose to shoot left handed. Bolt guns can be a little awkward sometimes, but after a while - assuming you don't switch hands and stances frequently - it just becomes second nature.

If I want a cheap gun, I can get them in 9mm, 380acp and .22lr for around $200+
But If I want a 45 acp, my options are Hipoint, 80% 1911 lower and parts, look for cheap deals
or look for 45 while buying used.
Why can't I just get a cheap 45acp gun?

Can someone explain to me how the "grain" system works? I get how (for example) 185 grain is stronger than 115, but what exactly is it stronger in? Faster bullet?
Also I have no frame of reference. Give me some example calibers (start with 9mm, .223, .308 for example) and explain to me the minimum and maximum ranges of "grain count" and why those arbitrary numbers were chosen.
