AKA: why can't we ever go to the range with normal people
I'll start.
>go to outdoor range to have a little fun with my 1860 Army repro
>proceed to start loading up
>*BLAAAAAAM*
>memelord (with entourage of ugly slags to show off to) to the left is blasting away with his .500 S&W and Ruger Judge
>*click*, *rack* *click*, *rack* *click*, *rack* *click*, *rack* *click*, *rack*
>Mr. Fagtactical on the right is practicing dry firing
>*pop* *pop*...*pop* *pop*...*pop* *pop*...*pop* *pop*
>Mr. Fagtactical practicing double taps
>finally loading the last chamber
>"CAN WE HAVE A CEASE FIRE!!!"
>FFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
>Mr. Fagtactical needs to change his target that looks like it was shot with buckshot
>seriously, learn to aim faggot (I have a 3 inch group with an 1860 Army).
>memelord finally leaves
>"let's go to the riflerange and shoot the .50"
>FFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUU
Why does every gun range have to have "those" people?

Try to give me one good reason why forward assists are useful on AR15s, and not outright harmful or dangerous.
I'll wait...

SF guys are taught to use the FA to quietly need to chamber a round you will need the FA to fully get the rnd into battery
>tada
I know they have some decent content but I just can't take ANYONE serious that is well into adulthood, obsessed with military engineering/gear, but failed to serve in the military themselves. Their opinions will always be somewhat Lesser to me because their only range of experience is auctioning other people's weapons and dumping guns in a mud barrel. I can never hold them up on a pedestal like you guys do. Ian also seems like he has a chip on his shoulder to prove contrarian to all the "Namisms" we've heard over th years. I can't be the only one can I?
>>34284370
The only thing that bugs me about them is really lately with how much playing soldier they've been up to.
Watching videos of two guys shooting suped up ARs isn't amusing or particularly informational.
>>34284370
You've obviously never served either because 99.9% of service men and whores are unironically retarded.
Your likely problem is they have turned a hobby into a semi profession, they make money off of doing things they like and it pisses you off. You feel that only people who hate what they do are qualified to speak on it because you hate your job too.
I wish the best for you and hope you find more positive outlets for your frustrations than on a namibian rock garden forum.
>>34284428
>hope you find more positive outlets for your frustrations
Like your mom?
>my local gun range will ban you for picking up brass
it fucking sucks, anyway
how is your local range with rules?
>>34280044
i never realised this was an issue before /k/. Since i was a kid we always used to use the broom and dust pan provided to sweep up the brass around the station we were shooting at whether it was all ours or not and put it the a trash can set aside for that purpose. We probably pissed off so many people when we thought we were doing the civil thing to do
>>34280044
Members only range.
No CC.
No loaded guns in holsters.
I think people may draw and fire from the holster on a designated range though.
Private range with locked gate, members get a key and can use the rifle range any day 10am to sunset. Has lanes from 50 yards to 200 and a pistol area facing a berm. You can CC on the premises all you want but once you enter the range area you have to unload whatever you are carrying and load it at the benches. Place has a bar in the clubhouse when its open for a few hours on the weekend.
paper targets only is my only complaint, they started to allow the rubber spinner targets but they have to contain no metal and I find that they get beat up way too quick with anything but 22lr.
Serious question time.
If someone were planning on committing suicide, but only had a Mosin Nagant, how likely are they to succeed?
Would the entry/exit wound at point blank in their mouth be enough to destroy the brainstem properly?
Asking for a friend.
>>34279365
It would be easier to point the gun at an angle and impale yourself on the bayonet.
>>34279365
You'd leave stain on ceiling. But you must be strong comrade, for mothah Russia.
Or drink yourself to death with proper Russian vodka (Google Everclear).
>>34279372
So like, attach the bayonet, shoot into skull, and fall forward onto said bayonet?

Can someone explain military women to me /k/?
>>34275578
>women that are in the military. dont touch with someone else's penis on the end of a 20 foot fiberglass pole.
>women that like to hang around bases to get picked up by soldiers, see above
>women married to soldiers. 90% of the ones enlisted marry are trash. officer wives are a higher class of trash.
the best hope is to go to Japan and sort through the gaijin hunters and other club girls. To find that one in 100 good one. that will be a doting mother and wife.
>>34275578
there is nothing wrong with an open relationship
Can someone explain to me why the F-35 is a bad jet in terms other than financial figures? I understand why it is a fiscal disaster, but why is it a technical disaster?
>>34269207
There is literally nothing wrong with the F-35. We are quite privileged to have such an impressive machine defending our airspace.
>>34269207
Protip: its not.
>>34269207
It isn't even a fiscal disaster; maintaining/restarting production of legacy craft out to the expected end-of-service of the F-35 would have cost ludicrously more. It's a "fiscal terror" because for once the bean-counters put up the entire 50-year cost, including all the personnel, their salaries/benefits/christmas bonuses, the flight hours, maintenance, training, etc., etc.
Over 50 years, one and a half trillion for all those fighters is frankly quite reasonable for what we are getting.
Is she still viable in modern situations?

Been a while since I've seen one of these around so I figure I should make one.
Lacking
-Axe (looking for recommendations)
-Water purification system (one in mail)
-gas mask
Gas masks in a bug out kid are mostly a meme.

Hey /k/
my AK74 has had issues with failures to extract. I've been shooting Wolf polyformance 5.45x39, 69gr.
It's a real pain in the dick because these fucks don't just get stuck and need the bolt reracked, I have to take the fucking thing apart and shove a rod down the bore and hope it punches out. I'm more certain this is an ammo problem but it's happened on 7n6 too. FTEs and hang ups on the action cycling
today it got stuck and wouldn't punch out. This is the third time I've had a stuck casing like this. I've sent the gun back to the builder because this has been happening but they just punch it out themselves and tell me the chamber is fine.
So where can I find a solid brass rod that's long enough and can take a few solid strikes to get this stuck case out? And what could I do to help remedy this in the future?
>>34295606
What ak ?
>>34295606
Some faggot build AK and it doesn't work right there's your problem
>>34295606
It doesn't need to be brass, it could be a softer steel. I don't really case as long as the fucker comes out
>>34295649
Desert Fox out of Wickenburg AZ
That's a picture of it, a standard AKS74 on a nodak spud receiver and a Bulgarian kit
Is the SU-22 obsolete?
Super Hornet > SU-22. Prove me wrong.
It's more likely pilot experience. The USA spends an astronomical amount of money training pilots. It takes tens of thousands of dollars to keep a fighter jet in the air every minute, and tens of thousands of repair and maintenance for every hour in the air. Other countries simply can't afford to give their pilots flight time.
But the American in me says yeah SU designation craft are subhuman garbage cobbled together by alcoholic monkeys from pot metal.
>>34295477
Why would anybody argue with this? The Sukhoi is almost 50 years old, while the Rhino is only 20.
>>34295513
Probably both, honestly.
Especially being that it's the SyAF vs the USAF
>have short barrel shotgun
>want to get a scabbard for it and MOLLE attack it to the back of my plate carrier
>can't find a scabbard that covers the trigger guard and has some kind of retention
>would prefer to not catch a sudden case of disappearing ass cheek and leg syndrome
So does anybody know of a manufacturer I could have something custom made from? Or preferably something in production that already exists?
>want to get a scabbard for it and MOLLE attack it to the back of my plate carrier
Pic related, kinda sorta what I'm trying to accompish, but not all retarded and unsafe and shitty.
