So /k/ I'm not sure you guys would really be able to help or would have experience on the subject but I would like to know if this damage was caused by a gunshot or road debris.
Here goes,
>Yesterday Sunday afternoon driving back from NYC to Northern VA/Arlington.
>Just me driving and my mother in the passenger seat.
>Near home the incident happened on 295 SB in DC.
>No traffic everything is smooth sailing until..
>Out of fucking nowhere the front passenger side window gets blown out
>Glass sprays everywhere, scared shitless nearly swerve out into the highway medium.
>Mom is alright thanks god just got at little minor cuts from the glass.
>Pulled over onto the shoulder called police, gave them report, really helpful cops who clean the glass out of my car but really couldn't help otherwise, and just told us we were in a really shitty neighborhood and filed the report.
>Mom said she might have seen youth redguards running on the over pass right before the window popped.
>insurance won't cover this I'm out $300 for a new window but otherwise glad no one was hurt.
I tried searching for a slug or any object in my car but I had no luck and I'm not going to play batman/detective since it doesn't matter if insurance wont cover it anyway. But I do want to know if it was a stray bullet or someone intentionally threw a rock or something.

Currently attending school in NYC but live in PA to get bomb ass GI bill money , in American Government class as I type this. Lesson turns to lobbying groups and teacher and students go on rant about the NRA and guns, this school is super liberal so every gun owner is painted as a racist redneck white personal .I'm the only hasguns here make a counterpoint about gun owners by outing myself as hasguns. Liberal whitelady teacher.exe Is malfunctioning cause I'm not a white redneck but a beaner/ the only hasguns and nonwhite in class MFW when after school I go home to 5 ar15s and 4 handguns. Anybody else a hasguns going to school in anti territory.

Out of school but moved from DE to NY and while I did make the ar safe its amazing how loony some of the people are. Not as bad north of Poughkeepsie but most NY schools and all SUNY/CUNY facilities are loaded with that nonsense.

I'd spend some money on a professionally monitored alarm system if I were you. Chances are your class will talk about "that one guy that has guns" to their friends, those friends will talk to their cousins, and before you know it you've got either a burglary or a home invasion on your hands.
It's basically why I can't take anyone but close friends shooting since they'll inevitably take pictures to post on facebook publicly and be WAY too forthcoming with information.

Hasguns on GI Bill too, except I'm in Wisconsin. You can tell some of the liberal professors want to be anti gun, but it's kind of hard when half the class is wearing camouflage, even a good amount of the girls. Our week off in November just happens to be the gun season for white tail, and I don't think it's a coincidence.

What are my options and pros/cons?
Looking for a semiauto rifle in a full size cartridge that delivers accuracy to hit man size targets at 300-500yds.
The new Galils appeal to me even if the 2k gives pause. Obviously FALs and even garands are options. There's SCAR in .308 and civilian version of HK 417. Not looking for a race gun AR10. I'm willing to trade some precision for reliability. What's /k's choice?

Galil Ace .308 has been getting very solid marks. I think it's a better use of money than blowing nearly twice its amount on a SCAR. Very little real gain beyond LRBHO and a smidge of accuracy.
I'd immediately give the Galil Ace the nod for durability though.
My only concern is how nice magnified optics would hold up on it given how much the the rail whips around.

What bows does /k/ own? I have a Parker Enforcer. Real satisfied by the power and cocking, but the factory scope broke second time shooting it, and I haven't been able to sight in the new one I got because of proper stance and exhaustion.
I may just buy one of those $70 laser sighters for bows I see around.
Anybody else get annoyed when they see a full sized crossbow in movie, TV or game and it makes a SWFFT sound instead of CRRRACK or BANG?

Alright, so, gonna be drawing a comic, and there's a faction that is basically nigger-poor and has to scav their weapons and jury-rig shit to make their weaponry, they scav a modern rifle or some hi-tech sci-fi rifle from the enemy and will cannibilise it for parts.
