Thoughts? Even close to the same league as the F-22/35?
oh boy another thread with the same picture. over and over again
FLANKER IN A BODYKIT

some of us aren't neckbeards who spend 23 hrs a day on /k/ like you, I guess.
Let's dedicate a thread to the single sexiest machine ever built by men.
The Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird.
It's was not only a massive engineering achievement or a huge strategical asset, but a symbol of times past, when men were men, women were women and mankind was involved in the most important type of research: faster, more efficient ways of killing the fuck out of each other.
Ladies and gentleman, let's talk sled. Post pictures, ask shitty hypotheticals or post the story about the blackbird asking for a speed check for the 100th time.
>There were a lot of things we couldn't do in an SR-71, but we were the fastest guys on the block and loved reminding our fellow aviators of this fact. People often asked us if, because of this fact, it was fun to fly the jet. Fun would not be the first word I would use to describe flying this plane. Intense, maybe. Even cerebral. But there was one day in our Sled experience when we would have to say that it was pure fun to be the fastest guys out there, at least for a moment.
>It occurred when Walt and I were flying our final training sortie. We needed 100 hours in the jet to complete our training and attain Mission Ready status. Somewhere over Colorado we had passed the century mark. We had made the turn in Arizona and the jet was performing flawlessly. My gauges were wired in the front seat and we were starting to feel pretty good about ourselves, not only because we would soon be flying real missions but because we had gained a great deal of confidence in the plane in the past ten months. Ripping across the barren deserts 80,000 feet below us, I could already see the coast of California from the Arizona border. I was, finally, after many humbling months of simulators and study, ahead of the jet.

>I was beginning to feel a bit sorry for Walter in the back seat. There he was, with no really good view of the incredible sights before us, tasked with monitoring four different radios. This was good practice for him for when we began flying real missions, when a priority transmission from headquarters could be vital. It had been difficult, too, for me to relinquish control of the radios, as during my entire flying career I had controlled my own transmissions. But it was part of the division of duties in this plane and I had adjusted to it. I still insisted on talking on the radio while we were on the ground, however. Walt was so good at many things, but he couldn't match my expertise at sounding smooth on the radios, a skill that had been honed sharply with years in fighter squadrons where the slightest radio miscue was grounds for beheading. He understood that and allowed me that luxury.
>Just to get a sense of what Walt had to contend with, I pulled the radio toggle switches and monitored the frequencies along with him. The predominant radio chatter was from Los Angeles Center, far below us, controlling daily traffic in their sector. While they had us on their scope (albeit briefly), we were in uncontrolled airspace and normally would not talk to them unless we needed to descend into their airspace.
We listened as the shaky voice of a lone Cessna pilot asked Center for a readout of his ground speed. Center replied: "November Charlie 175, I'm showing you at ninety knots on the ground."
Are these worth it? I kinda want one just so i can larp as a soviet conscript, plus i have alot of 9mm luger
>not buying an m57
Go big or go home nigger

Why would you get that when JG Sales has Beretta 92s for a little bit more.

I already have an M9
What's your gun?
What's your transportation?
Where are you going?
Basically, what's your plan?
ar-7
volkswagen gti
Shenandoah national park
alternatively since i work in dc for the gobmint, go die with all them
>>35072519
Do you have survival equipment?
>>35072288
Stay home
Bonus if you have Paint drawing. Snorlax can soak up bullet damage and shrapnel will bounce off.
>>35072228
They used arcanines and machamps in police force.
>pic related 1/2
not really operating, but I can imagine those two being good for that.

>>35074145
I forgot is actually that big
Has anybody else that lives near a military base noticed an increase in activity? I live about 25 mikes away as the crow flies from Fort Knox, and we've been having flying a lot of transport planes and heilocopters flying over (more than usual).
>>35072185
No, no increased activity at all. Havent been seeing unusual helicopters or anything like that.
Yeah, outside Fort Wayne a nuke just went off. We're all dying. Rip.
>>35072185
Sometimes the military moves a lot of equipment to a different base or is moving a bunch of dudes to go to train at NTC/JRTC.
I'm a hasgunz bong seriously thinking of moving to america. Anyone have experience with transferring their registered gats from yurop to the US? What's the most /k/ state?
>>35072161
Vermont, despite being blue you can conceal carry without a permit starting at 16, even without parent's permission
You can also buy guns at 16 as long as you're not buying from a FFL dealer
>>35072161
>I'm a hasgunz bong seriously thinking of moving to america. Anyone have experience with transferring their registered gats from yurop to the US? What's the most /k/ state?
Its damn near impossible to even send an antique flintlock there. Forget about it

Don't listen to those idiots.
Check with the BATF. There are a few forms you need to fill out, but it's not impossible.
Things around my apartment have started getting worse, and one of my friends recently came home to find that her door had been chopped down. Police took forever to get there and found that someone was waiting inside for her with an ax. I still have a few months left on my lease, and I'm not going to let that happen to me. The problem is that the apartment I'm in doesn't allow guns, so I'm going to need something else. Any recommendations?
>>35071913
Rapier + Dagger
Bastard Sword
Buckler + Dagger
Gladius + Scutum
and then some Talhoffer literature
>>35071949
Or, alternatively, the worst they can tell you to do is leave if you get caught with a gun in there
>>35071913
>non gun
M79

Do the plataform for AWACS make any difference on it's radar performance?
Like, more space inside for eletronics or put more radards etc...
>>35071859
Not really. For example, Japan's E-767 is basically just the E-3's electronics installed in a 767.
>>35071884
I know, but i mean, would a 767 cover more area than, let's say a ERJ? Or it's just the radar that matters?
>>35071859
Sort of. Bigger radars can have more transmitters and receivers and can spread them out over a wider area. More power sent though the radar will get better results. A bigger airplane can in theory mount both of those, as well as more and better computers for interpreting the results. So theoretically, yes. In practice, it's hardly that simple.
So I fucked up a while back and got a C39V2 thinking it was decent. Now I want to get another AK that isn't shit. So, should I go DDI or WASR 10? Which is the better AK?
WASR.
>>35071870
Why? Just curious.
>>35071912
>Ak
>that isn't shit.
Pick one
Do any of you guys have any idea what gun this gun is based off of?
>>35071318
M93R and a shit ton of cocaine.
>>35071318
The only recognizable part of it is the 1911 grips.
>>35071318
A poor understanding of firearms.
I can't handle the recoil of a Glock 26.
What's the next logical step from here?
What about you? What's your level of tolerance?
>>35071295
just keep practicing, you'll eventually get used to the recoil
>>35071295
Grip, wrist, forearm, and bicep exercises.
Shoot more.
Sack up.
Dont fall for the subcompact meme
>5 generations
>still can't fix the pignose
L M A O
what did he mean by this?
>>35070992
The colored frame Glocks actually don't have it. I have a gray frame G17 and G26, and neither has pignose.
>>35071439
this just opens up a bigger can of worms
Tell me, /k/ - would you trade a 1970's-era Colt Combat Commander .45 ACP handgun for a Colt LE6920 AR with a generic scope (under $200 for a new one) and a couple extra magazines? Or will the handgun hold its value better over time?
>>35070793
Handgun (especially Ponies) will hold its value far more than some diamond dozen AR.
Theyre very close price wise, but ud probably keep the 1911. The main reason being the current ar market is in a big glut and ARs are a dime a dozen. But if you dint have a rifle ir AR, make the trade.
