The market for these things doesn't seem to line up terribly well with the effort of making them, so there aren't that many who do. Takes some pretty large equipment to heat treat them for example.

CRITERIA FOR 4 CORE SKILLS
We can decide on what are acceptable levels of skill here are my suggestions. If you work as a professional (SWAT/Active Infantry, EMT or better, Radio Technician, etc.), then I proposed that you would automagically graduate to the highest tier for that skill and put a "Pro" designation below the icon (black star sticker underneath the icon).

For most of these, you'll have to demonstrate that you passed a lower level of skill before earning a higher level of skill (have proof of earning the Level III in Weapons before Level IV in weapons).

As a reminder these skills will be color-coded on the single Tier 1 Badge (2" x 3" kydex)
>Level I (Worst): Orange Tape - No equipment/no skill
>Level II: Black Tape - Has equipment
>Level III: Grey Tape - Has equipment and demonstrated low level of skill
>Level IV (Best): NO TAPE - Has equipment and demonstrated higher level of skill

Weapons Shooting:
>Level I (Worst): Orange Tape: No pistol, rifle, or shotgun
>Level II: Black Tape: Owns a pistol, rifle, or shotgun

Really only way to get over the fear is to shoot them. Start with a small caliber and work your way up. Or just learn how to shoot a larger caliber and then the smaller calibers feel like nothing. As long as you point the gun where you want to shoot and recognized that is where the bullet will go, it becomes a little bit smoother and easier to get over the fear.

It's literally like handling a nail gun or a drill or a table saw. Just don't put anything you don't want gone near the muzzle or point the muzzle at anything you don't want dead or destroyed and you're golden. Here's what you need to know:

Mind where the muzzle is pointing because that is always where the bullet is going

When not using a gun make sure the mag is out, the chamber is empty, the safety is on, and your booger hook is off the bang switch in that order. Above all keep it pointed in a safe direction at all times. Manage this and it will be a breeze.

I've heard stories that the ones sold to our military (FDF) were beyond fucking horrible, inaccurate to the degree that even instructors struggled to get any hits at 150m. 100 000 of them were recently scrapped as useless.
