Just purchased a slightly used Colt "M4 Carbine." It's the LE6290 one not the expanse. Got it out the door for $850. Came with a rear magpul flip up sight.
This is my first AR and originally was going to get something a bit cheaper.

Okay lads, I'm finally getting around to purchasing my first handfun. Looking at the CZ-75 SP-01. There's a problem, though:
The CZ-75 SP-01 is a fairly uncommon firearm.
There's a licensed CZ dealer in my area, but he doesn't seem to have it in stock.
Is there anything preventing me from buying a CZ-75 SP-01 on gunbroker? That seems to be my only course of action.

assuming they're armed and equipped like operators but operate like street thugs, I'd probably just drop a lightning link in my AR, buy a few thousand rounds of ammo, seal off every door but one with concrete blocks, set up a strong point facing the one door, and mow 'em down while they make their way in.
should be doable on 50 grand, lightning link are what, 20K?

So I'm thinking about building a scout rifle as a summer project and can't decide what caliber to go with. I'm torn between .30-06 and .308 Win. Reasons being,
1. I already have two rifles in .30-06
2. Dad and I have a significant amount of of .30-06 in storage for me to dig into.
3. .308 is a little bit cheaper in my area
4. Should a SHTF scenario pop up I would most likely find .308 far easier than .30-06
5. I have a strong bias to .30-06 as it was the first full length rifle cartridge I've ever shot.

The scout rifle is supposed to be short and light and Jeff Cooper specifically called for .308. Also, since it's cheaper to shoot and you already have two 30-06 rifles, it will make a nice addition.
