I have one of these and I can't get it on because I'm missing a screw, do gun shops sell them?
>>34428095
Literally just figure out the thread size of your receiver and go buy a god damned screw at the hardware store.
>>34428126
And how the fuck do you propose I do that?
>>34428133
I had hope for this generation... But if you can't figure out how screws work or how to match one up at a hardware store...
Why is the M94 the undisputed surplus king /k/??
>mannlicher
>6.5x55 Swede
>lightweight AND accurate
>simultaneously a good collectors gun and affordable shooter (sporterized versions are easy to find)
Here's mine. Sadly someone nigger rigged it but you can't beat $320 with 100 rounds of ammo included
>>34428019
>mannlicher
It's a Mauser tho
>>34428033
....anon...
Is there actually an explicit ban on semi-automatic, open bolt weapons? I know that supposedly in 1982 that's when the ATF started to classify them as machine guns and with the 1986 ban on newly manufactured ones for civilians that practically outright banned them for civilians. But the ruling I could find on their website only talk about specific guns, like the KG-9. I can't find anything that says that all semi-automatic open bolts are now classed as machine guns.
Any insight into this is appreciated
>>34427780
bump
I they're banned because the deemed that they're (open bolt semi-auto guns) too easy to convert to full auto weapons. I'm not sure if the law specifically bans them.
>>34428162
They are not banned by law as it should work.
The ATF has the unconstitutional power to legislate whatever the fuck they want. Most ATF regulations are unconstitutional breaches of our 2A and legislative due process.
Is it universally known on /k/,
''If every good man killed an evil human there would be no more evil humans.''
What is your take on this? If you believe in karma/reincarnation/heaven are you afraid to kill? Are you so afraid of what you have coming to you that you would rather ''wait it out''?
What defines evil in your opinion? Is being steadfast in a time of dire need evil? What about not appropriating resources for those in need when it would be simple for you?
Long winded I know, but... I like to make others think.
If you wish to attain peace and heaven for lack of a more universally accepted term, why do you fear death?
''Everybody want heaven, they don't want death.''
Pro tip, I know you're afraid.
Don't be so greedy as to think you deserve a prize for sacrificing your meat temple for sh3ckl3s.
By what metric do we define "evil" and is just straight-up murdering the men we arbitrarily define as "evil" not also "evil?"
I'm not a huge Glock shooter, but I want to pick up a new Glock 19 just to have. It seems like Glock has a lot of factory options you can get these days, and I'm not sure which version to get, since there's no single gun that really has everything. Wondering if /k/ could weigh in? Only criterion I have is that it must be a Gen4 because I prefer the grip texture and the ootb trigger pull.
Mainly looking at one of these options:
>front serrations
I don't use front serrations, but it could be a cool aesthetic once the Gen5's come out, like how the RTF has those funky curved slide serrations that Glock never adopted.
>compensated
never shot a compensated Glock, do they have any problems with reliability?
>M.O.S.
don't own any red dots, probably won't buy one in the immediate future, but might be nice to have the option for "someday"?
>OD green frame (or other colors)
might be kind of neat to have a gun with some bling for the range, maybe collectible in the future?
>>34427423
Glock discontinued their compensated line a few years back, so you'll have to look on the second-hand market if you really want that particular type.
>>34427446
The compensated Glocks, like the colored frames, and other hard to find variants, come into the country in batches. I am seeing new ones come into the country currently.

>>34427480
If they're still making compensated models how come they're not mentioned on their website anymore?
Anyway, OP the compensated models are really only good for handgun competition shooting, even if they don't have the longer barrels.
Oh god /k/, found a new one for $500. Talk me out of it, show me a better way.
>>34427418
They make good pseudo-Scout rifles, should you really desire one.
>>34427441
That's kind of what I had in mind, I was going to put one of the new 1-8 Strike Eagles on it. I love that it takes both AR-10 and M1A mags. I just want to make sure there isn't a better option. My knowledge of bolt guns is lacking.
I've tried the .223 version and didn't like it at all. It feels cheap as fuck, including the bolt. Save up another few hundred and get a Ruger Scout.
Sup /k/? I recently visited Fort Gaines in Alabama and thought I'd share some /k/ related pics.
Fort Gaines participated in the Battle of Mobile Bay between the Union and Confederate navies in 1864 and resulted in a Union victory. During the battle Admiral Farragut spoke his famous and frequently misquoted "Damn the torpedoes!" line.
I'll do my best to label everything properly but please correct me if I get anything mixed up.
First up this little Howitzer. Why is it so cute?
A Sharps and Hankins model 1861 Navy rifle. One of only 700 ever made. Behind it is a piece of the USS Hartford's decking.
Springfield rifled musket.

I genuinely don't understand. Why is this shit so expensive when $50 howard leights have a higher sound rating, are electronic, and to boot are vastly cheaper

No one is forcing you to buy them anon.

About to enlist in a European country that is too poor to issue decent ear protection (Belgium) to enlisted recruits . Any good ear pro you guys advice me to buy and bring with me ?
WHAT?

Peltors or any similar electronic earpro. It works miracles if you're a machinegunner or assaulter.

Surefire Sonic Defenders under Peltor Tactical Pros.
So I use Howard Leight ear pro with SureFire EP4 Sonic Defender earplugs underneath. What is the next step up from this?
>>34426790
>earplugs with active muffs
Why do people do this?
>>34426790
SureFire EP7 or 10s
>tfw lost my Howard Leight's
>tfw don't want to drop $40 again
>tfw using foam plugs
$400 for a 2.25" hammerless SP101.
Didn't mind DAO. My first revolver. Haven't been able to shoot it yet.
How'd I do?
>>34426765
Just use .38spcls and +p for home defense . .357 out of a snub nose like that would just make alout of noise and blind you in the middle of the night while losing most of their power due to short barrel.

Hey /k/
What are your experiences with larger (7mm rm/.300 wm) semi autos like the Noreen and Nemo? They advertise sub moa accuracy, but are they reliable with everything being proprietary on them.
Does anyone have actual expeience shooting one?
It seems like a fun gun to have and I want one, but I also dont want to buy garbage.
Anyone? Are these too biche for /k/?
