I've never owned a nugget, and fuck my .22 pistol. Dry firing is 90% of what I do with guns which is why I hate rimfires. So what if I lose a little money.

If you don't use it, and you REALLY want a mosin, then go for it.

Truth be told, he's really overpricing his rifle but if it's a strict trade and you don't care for the one you have, then go for it.

Nah, nuggets are shit unless you just plan to collect. They are only so loved because they were cheap and the ammo was cheap but that's not the case anymore so not worth it.

How loud and distinguishable as a gunshot is a blank?

was thinking of buying a crate and shooting them off on the 4th, I live in suburbia, but neighbors of both sides go nuts with large mortars and everything so I don't think it would be a issue.

anyone else shoot blanks/flareguns,ect on the 4th?

Might as well shoot live rounds, being as firing a blank is also discharging a firearm, and the penalty will be the same.

Safe from what? The law? Guy even says the ATF told him no.
Could he not have done this video on a desk or table? Gets his wife to film it on their bed, that's just silly.
>>
>>34431268
Should be perfectly safe. It's just basically turning the disconnector into another sear. The disconnector normally releases the hammer which is caught by the sear, with this little trick the disconnector releases a little earlier and the sear doesn't have time to catch it.
>>
so question... purely hypothetical obviously but ive always wondered if someone were to remove the disconnector would it effectively render the firearm F/A only?

Has there been any weird trigger designs for weapons? Anything different then the one pictured? Is it the best way to have it?
14 posts and 8 images submitted.
>>
The 1911 is pretty weird, honestly. Most guns have used and will continue to use a pivoting body for the trigger, but the 1911 trigger is a sliding block that presses directly on the sear through the disconnector. The pivoting trigger makes more sense in most contexts outside of the single action handgun.
>>
>>34431256
Well a lot of the modern big mounted dakkadakka guns have buttons or little levels

Other than that, you're gonna have to go ask Ian about some impact trigger system set off by punching the target like in Inglorious Basterds

Bring guns, ammo, plate carriers, and survival gear that your parents help finance but you will never use or train with. Thats about as /k/ as you can get.

However if you are being serious, bring a light/packable 22 (ie 10/22 takedown with x22 backpacker stock with rugged optic) and a 12ga shotgun so you can handle all small game and then the big fuggers on both 2 legs and 4

i was thinking about buying a ruger no 1 because fuck yeah, falling block and they're aesthetic as fuck, but they're pricey for a single shot

also thinking about the ruger gunsite scout, because i love scout-style rifles (the ability to just pull the rifle up and have the scope slide into view in front of you makes target acquisition easier IMO)

anyone had or heard of any issues with either?

If you're not shooting that far the RGS isnt a bad choice. And after a scope, sling and a few mags you're going be paying around the same as a #1. The flash hiders on the RGS suck, so plan on replacing that as well. If I didnt want a threaded barrel I'd go #1 in 375 h&h, otherwise RGS.

I mean, always had that doubt. Why even talk with someone that I'll probably seee die horribly?
At the same time, I would go nuts by myself avoiding contact with the men that I must work with to save my life.

Some of you Vets could give me you personal take on this?

You can't do anything while being a little bitch cunt. You get to know them because you will get bored as fuck, you will want to know more because they are your only companions. You will care more for their safety if you know what they need to be able to go home to, even if that means it hits you harder if they die.
>>
>>34430617
At what point that caring can fuck your chance to not only you surviving, but puting the whole "group" in danger?
I mean like a Medic climbing to no mans land to rescue some friend and getting killed. I don't like to think that you must act like an ant, but being over sensitive about your guys may create groups that care more about themselves than the whole army the are part of.

>being a little bitch cunt
Yeah I am, probably.
>>
>>34430584
It's self preservation. You get to know them, they get to know you, you end up wanting to save each other's life. Do this with an entire company size element and you've got a remarkable fighting force.
Also, war is more than shooting. It's also trading to get that pack of m&ms. Its "Fuck, you forgot your chapstick but that one guy always carries extra". Its having a shoulder to cry and and then reassures you "fuck Jodie and your whore wife".

No one joins the army to die. They join to kill the bastard who signed up to die.

While its logistical and reliability issues made it strategically a failure, was there any tank that saw at least a years worth of service in WW2 that could tactically match the Tiger or Tiger 2? By tactically I mean regiment and below scale operations, like trying to capture a village or hold a hill.

Even with a 3-1 superiority I don't think there is any allied tank that could reliably be expected to breakthrough an area defended by tigers assuming both forces are equally matched in all other aspects (training, logistics, support etc.). Even offensively the Tiger could give most defending tanks a good run for there money even at a 2-1 disparity of numbers.

How can a single tank capture a village or hold a hill? Tanks are super easy to knock out if it doesn't have infantry cover.
