Why do people buy this pleb meme gun again?
I wouldn't trust my life on something so finnicky that it won't fire when you PULL THE FUCKING TRIGGER in a slightly non-optimal way. Don't buy this piece of shit, it could get you killed!
Isn't that just takeup?
>>34454838
I already don't but S&W since they're still trying to actively fuck firearm ownership rights to this day.
>>34454857
That is just the take up, you can hear the striker dropping. OP is just pretending to be retarded in hopes of getting some upvotes on his thread.
Is this gun set up stupid?
What should I add/ replace next?
Also post your favorite guns in your collection.
>>34454775
Add an underbarrel """flare""" launcher via hose clamps
>>34454811
No need for hose clamps when I can get a bottom rail from beretta for $54. I like the idea of a 9" Havoc 37mm though.
>>34454775
I would recommend you consider a lower magnification, less substantial optic, but if you like it I won't force the issue. Pic related is my favorite.
So concerning ir lasers what exactly are the regulations and fucking why? Humans can't see into the Infra red, why does the fda "regulate" them? Is this just backdoor gun control?
>>34454670
No one needs infrared lasers, are you planning on shooting up a school during the night?
you can't see em, but they can fuck your eyes mighty good.
>>34454670
My only question on this is...
Why the FDA?
I'm looking to buy a hand gun to take down to the range heard glocks were a cheap purchase that was good quality dose /k have any recommendations
>>34454582
You can't go wrong with a glock but there are even cheaper options. Look up SCCY, Bersa, and Canik. Or look into milsurp 9mm pistols. Best of luck anon.
>>34454637
He wants a range gun, not a "people want to kill me but I only have $250" gun.
>>34454582
Yep, the Glock 17 is a good starting point if you're just looking for a recreational piece. No over the top safeties or indicators slapped all over it (besides the bullet one on the side). Also they're fairly easy to take apart and clean
>nitriding is harder and more durable than hard chrome
When will the industry shills stop perpetuating this lie? Black nitriding is as worthless as the gold coating on drill bits that always gets rubbed away the first time you use the drill. It's a much cheaper process, and that's why it's being pushed.
Can you back up your claim? I'm interested in learning.
It impregnates the surface... The black coating doesn't mean shit...
>>34454480
Nitriding/QPQ/melonite = Parkerizing 2.0
Chrome= much harder wearing than any case hardened steel, adds lubricity and corrosion resistance
shit flinging aside, let's discuss if gun owners can actually repel a government attack on their guns and successfully overthrow the government.
Obviously the government cannot use tanks in COIN (not until the guerrillas become a conventional force anyway), but drones and aircraft are viable, since much of US is forest, guerrillas can be easily detected and bombed the fuck out using FLIR, this is a huge, huuuge power multiplier.
Now, for the insanely big amount of trained grunts who are able to kick down door at 3 AM (both NG and Army)
Third, hearts and minds, i believe this will be fairly easy for the government as half of the people are antigun and fudds will give in their guns and start boot licking
Guerrilla wise, i believe most militias are very, very, very unfit to fight the armed forces who are trained (i think they've never had to ruck their 60lbs gear for over 10 miles, or try camp overnight while it's raining, or practice any fieldcraft skills that would greatly benefit guerrilla, Hell i'm pretty sure they've never trained for anything that doesn't involve their five million dollar crye plate carrier or gucci AR)
I also believe Nutnfancy and his tryhard likes would probably pussy out.
So the only competent or consistent element that stays is either government hating veterans or waco-tier apocalyptic, survivalist borderline terrorist nutjobs which only make up to maybe 0.001% gun owners.
TLDR my conclusion is that militias will get their asses handed to them faster than they could say revolution.
I fear you are correct, but that doesn't mean give up. Most of my friends and family would fall within a week if shit got real. I don't know how well I would do. I'm not very well trained.
Realistically, it would be amazing if even 25% of us here are more than a typical LARP airsoft fag.
I think the rebellion would hinge on ho much of the army defects, and how many of them would be willing to train us.
>>34454416
>implying fighting is the difficult part
If you actually had a viable alternative government that enough people would be willing to die for to put into place, the rest would fall into place, either through the political system or insurrection
95% of the right wing bitchin is just them figuring out they get conned cycle after cycle

So who all is in the will?
In a post apocalyptic world without state militaries to support artillery, would castles be functional as a defensive fortification? Even something as simple as a motte and bailey?
>>34454212
No, explosives are easier to make than castles, if enough folk can get their shit together to build a castle than more than enough can get their shit together to make a ton of bombs
>>34454212
improvised mortars would still exist. explosives would have to cease to exist for fixed defenses to make a resurgence.
>>34454246
But the materials they are working with, even in those pictures, are highly manufactured and would require factories to maintain a supply would they not?
would Germany have won WW2 if they had 5000 sturmtigers by 1944
No.
4999 would have been enough
Yeah they could have scrapped them and made something useful
/k/op thread!
Let's "try" to keep the topic on gear and tactics.
>I'll start
Thumb-break duty holsters are inadequate in a real struggle, you should be using an ALS thumb switch or comparable rocker-style retention hood at minimum. You should also be carrying a small backup gun in your weak side cargo pocket. If your agency's policy doesn't allow you to carry a backup gun, you should be working for a different agency.
You will only ever need three belt keepers. One next to your gun, one next to your taser, and one on the center of your back. Any more than that, and you're wasting time if you ever go down and someone needs to take your belt off of you.
Privileges for police officers is fascism by another name. All rules thst apply to civilians must apply to all civilians.
compliance sauce
>>34454126
Okay, but what duty weapon/holster combo are you using?
Greetings /k/,
Quick question regarding hearing loss from a firearm.
I don't have much money, so I can't afford to see an ENT unless absolutely necessary - but here's what happened.
So there I was, shooting my friend's AR15. I wasn't paying enough attention to my hearing protection, and did not have overhead muffs. Just plugs.
Anyway, I didn't put the plug in right on my right ear(Right handed), so the ear pro came out after a few shots, and then my ear was fully exposed. It was a few rounds into it that I realized I was without hearing protection.
This occurred on Saturday, and my hearing has not improved. It has slightly, but not much. Basically everything is muffled, and higher frequencies sound like it's coming from a blown out speaker. The ear itself doesn't hurt, and I can still hear.
Before I go see an ENT(I do not have a physician). Has anyone here had any similar experiences?
>>34454090
>It was a few rounds into it that I realized I was without hearing protection.
How the shit did you not notice instantly?
You'll probably be ok in the long term, and even within a week. But I'd see an ent to be safe, they can maybe minimize the damage and you only get one set of ears in this life.
Just hope your tinnitus(constant ringing insta-hearing damage) goes away and isn't permanent. Because there is no cure, it'll make it hard to sleep, and interfere with hearing normal stuff.
Go see an ENT you idiot. At least get the damage assessed.
You're fucked. the doctor can't do anything.
How the fuck can you not notice an earplug falling out, my man. You asked for this. You made your bed, now lay in it.
Honestly, maybe you were already deaf, because how the FUCK?
Ever been to a loud concert? You should be okay in several days.
Alright /k/, what's a gun friendly state in the north?
Thinking of moving. Currently live in Northern Indiana. I love the greenery and the cool weather, but it's kinda gun retarded. City ordinance basically bans "assault weapons"(not really enforced, though) and some places won't ship to me because of it. It's also SUPER hard to find someplace to shoot farther than 25yrds or 200yrds (no in between) and even with that it's all casual shooting. Just stand or sit and plink at paper targets. Not really fun. It's also fudd heavy up here too.
Background: grew up in KCMO/K area(would love to go back, but not too fond of the summer weather), lived in AZ for a couple years while going to school(loved the gun culture and the outdoor life, but fuck summer weather, and I can't live in a desert anymore), been in Indiana for about 3yrs.
>>34453782
new hampshire, maine, vermont, pennsylvanian
>>34453782
alaska
Wisconsin is pretty gun friendly.
I'm looking forward my first handgun for daily use, my budget is not too high and this Bersa feels really nice in my hands.
Can you please red pill me on this one.
>>34453536
All I know is that it's a Walther p88 clone.
Probably better than the CZ RAMI or a new SIG. The non-Firestorm Bersas are quality pieces. If you've never carried then the metal frame might be awkward. That's 27oz unloaded and it's a double stack.
>>34453536
Here's what 9mm Bersa pistols have recently sold for on Gunbroker
Let's say you can't own an AR or AK, what would be the best pump action shotgun to compete for a guerrila WARFARE situation?
I'm not talking about semi like vepr or saiga kind of shotguns
>pump action shotgun
>guerrilla warfare
Do you know what guerrilla warfare is? For a SHTF situation a shotgun isnt bad, but for going up against an organized military your dead kiddo. You would be much better off with a bolt action and a few guys with lever actions. Look at engagments in afganistan, all of the fighters that are still alive shoot from very far ranges because if they got within shotgun range of their enemy they would be vaporized. This is all theoretical right op?
>>34453480
some light .410 concealable Judge is probably best. Protectas have the best guerilla warfare memes though
>>34453480
The premise of your question in kinda retarded, ref the whole guerrilla warfare angle.
That being said, an older, used 870P is thought to beat inthe pump 12g realm. Buy it cheap and you can make some upgrades based on your preferences: shorter lop, sling and a light if it suits your needs. Done. For well under $500.
can a navy seal/delta/ranger/sas live in the wild if so for how long??
I recall of a story of a ex Spetznaz soldier running from the police in New Jersey into the snowy woods in nothing but his underwear. Police tracked him for several days and by the end of the ordeal, he had killed 3 police officers, a police dog, and he was killed in a shootout where he wounded several more officers. They even based an episode of the Sapronos on it.
So yes.
>>34453496
source? that would have made the news
Depends on a whole host of things. The environment, carried equipment, location and destination, the wider political risk (this is far more important than people let on), is he being pursued, is he pursuing and others.
You can "live" in the wild if you have a good understanding of the weather, are reasonably fit and healthy for an indefinite period of time. Completing a set task is an entirely different ball game.
