I always liked side by side better for aesthetics and easier removal of shells
I like both but if I had to choose it'd be side by side, like >>34480634 said it just has that aesthetic
I prefer O/Us because of the slicker sight picture, the overall styling of the guns and also because it's a bit easier with clays but SxS are totally fine too.
Ever done russian roulette? By yourself in your darkest moment? Is it true the big one usually spins down because of bullet weight? Tell me everything you know about the game of games
>>34479606
done it with a nerf gun
>>34479606
I did it once and accidently killed myself. Fun times, would definitely do it again
Do it with a .22 revolver first for more chance of surviving.
Thoughts on their Army, Air force, navy and presidential guard.
They need to up their goggle game or I might mistake them for USMC.
They're elite. I heard they train the SAS and Delta Force.
>>34479192
Train them where to touch little boys and how to seduce goats?
Why do fudds hate iron sights so much? I swear these rednecks have made it damn near impossible to buy a bolt rifle with propper sights.
>>34478602
because their eyes can't see irons anymore
>>34478602
fudd culture is very conservative
>>34478663
Wtf, what do they have against .22lr? I would have thought .22lr would be fudd safe. It's 160 years old for fuck's sake.
Is it a meme? I kinda want one
Who makes the best one?
Meme is such a shit term, you get outta here. But, as for the gun thing..
It's just not all that important. If you like it, cool. But truth is, the dust cover is important it keeps are shit out of your machine. Maybe a gibbz side charger, but it has flaws too. The rear charging handle is surprisingly useful and well thought out. The ar15 needs other things improved. Not that bit though.
>>34477587
You're right. I forgot abt the dust cover. And the meme thing was just to get replies, /k/ hates it
>>34477544
I want one for a suppressed pistol/SBR. Biggest advantage there is not having shit blow out the rear of the receiver directly into my face. But I also like the ability to charge it while keeping cheek weld and vision through the optic.

With the prototypes of each aircraft almost complete, which one do you think will be selected for the Army's Future Vertical Lift program and why? The two competitors are the V-280 Valor tilt rotor aircraft and SB-1 Defiant coaxial helicopter with push rotor.

I picked up this old leather holster from the flea market today. Do you think its okay to have the trigger exposed on my model smith and wesson 637?
>>34484847
All old style revolver holsters are like that, even ones that are still made, even holsters designed for double action revolvers, so apparently some people think it's safe. I wouldn't own a holster that didn't cover the trigger guard, though.
>>34484894
The retention strap goes behind the hammer. It is fine
>>34484847
>double action
would you carry a glock without a holster covering the trigger too you spergo
What is /k/'s opinion on .17HMR? I got a savage rifle with a bull barrel and scope for a pretty good price, seems fun for plunking/shooting varmints from the porch. Did I goof?

wtf is this niche round supposed to replace, not knocking it, just see it all over the ground at a range i visit
>>34484696
It was designed as a round to replace some now obsolete round for flat plains. They wanted it to go fast, and that it did
Guys I built a dissipator AR with a barrel from Del ton. It keeps short stroking no matter the ammo. It has a rifle length gas system and an A2 style recoil spring and buffer. These should work together right? It does seem hard to charge. Should I just swap in a carbine spring and buffer? I dont really want to drill out the gas port more.
>>34484177
>Should I just swap in a carbine spring and buffer?
you cant unless you swap out the whole tube to a carbine.
are you sure its not the ammo as in youve tried real 5.56 not just tula or wolf?
contact delton
>>34484177
that's the problem with pissipators, not enough gas.
You can take the weights out of your buffer. it probably won't do much but it's free. The ideal fix would be an adjustable gas block.
>>34484177
try a carbine spring with the rifle buffer
I inherited a "new" sig p229 from my uncle. It was made in 1993 and has a made in germany railless frame. He never fired it and it was sitting in his safe for the last 24 years.
When I received it I stripped it and found what appears to be rust in the underside of the slide. I don't own any semiauto handguns, just a revolver, and I have never seen rust on any of my guns, so I don't even know how to recognize it properly. The only rust I'm familiar with is the crusty stuff that appears as spots. It doesn't appear to have any "texture" to it, it's smooth like the rest of the metal, just reddish and it transitions smoothly to black like a gradiant instead of standing out.
I sprayed some hornady one-shot hd extreme on the red portions and tried rubbing with a cotton swab. No red residue comes off.
How do I check if it really is rust? Is it even a big deal? Should I worry about it?
It's brass from when the slide picks up another cartridge.
Also, that Sig was definitely used prior.
>>34484047
just clean it and shoot it yo. if it doesnt come off with a "very" light rubbing with 0000 steel wool [dont forget to clean/blow out the steel wool dust] just slather it in clp and shoot it and clean it again.. who cares if its rist or not. if it is not pitted its fine
>>34484058
I'm not talking about the shiny brass in the center, that was from me chambering some rounds earlier today and working the slide.
today i went to the walamat and kroger and target parking lots and put 500 of these on cars. im doing an open carry education campagin to help normalize open carry. do you think there is anything else i should add to the next 500 im gonna hand out next weekend.

also why did they waste a rocket on for only 3 or 4 people why not just fire a burst from a mini gun
>>34483649
Probably because the jet had bomb sights for ground engagements. It's not like a video game where you just point your jet at the ground.
Also, how the fuck do any of them get anything done? Honestly.
>Fighter wakes up in the morning
Calls of "Allah Akbar" from the thirty guys just standing around.
>Fighter takes a piss after waking up
Allah Akbar! Resounds through the neighborhood
>Fighter eats some eggs and a bit of bread
Allah Akbar! There are now fifty guys just milling around screaming Allah Akbar
>Fighter puts on his boots
The cries of Allah Akbar echo across ten square miles, an entire battalion of men just screaming Allah akbar
>The fighter loads his rifle and heads outside
Entire busses of people from every surrounding city pull up, a crowd of thousands scream Allah akbar, dozens of video cameras on every rooftop record the fighter just walking outside
>The fighter starts up his technical and begins to drive toward the front
Millions of people have now gathered, entire railroad cars of people are pouring in, an endless sea of people screaming Allah akbar, the entire Muslim world has tuned their TVs onto the fighter driving his technical into the street, the cries of Allah akbar resonate across half the planet.
Seriously, why the fuck is everyone just standing around saying allah akbar? How great can your shitty god be right after a fucking bomb just fell on you?
>>34483725
They believe that the point of life on this planet is to avoid sin and prove your worth (and love) to God/Allah. They WANT to die and move on to their version of heaven. Praising Allah right before their gruesome deaths makes sense through this lens.
