Console a man, or lay it on him thick /k/...
I have ruined a bore for an m39 and k98/48 due to not understanding that corrosive ammo particles can't be removed with simple hoppes number 9. I loved my m39 to death too, and my guns are really the only thing I actually love in my life. I'm drinking the pain away, but go ahead and vent if you want.

There were literally millions of them made...
It's like women (or men, if you're a fag).
There are millions more almost exactly like it, shut the fuck up, move the fuck on, go rub one out, and get your shit together, you're a fucking man, act like one.
>>34485208
You're right but damn if they aren't expensive. I've got to sell mine at a loss and spend for another.
How bad is the bore OP, is there still rifling and such?

What are these 3D printed guns?
And how do they work?
>>34485038
They are just guns made out of plastic instead of metal. You can print them out instead of buying them.
How it works?
Buy 3D printer
Download 3D blueprint of gun
Print and assemble parts
Load and shoot
Side note: The plastic does expand so you may need to print multiple barrels.
Can i 3d print a G3?

Any shield carriers on tonight?
I'm on the market for a good CCW. With the summer rebate going on ($75), it seems like it's going to buy itself. The internet loves this fun.
Mass fag here, so I can't really get my hands on new gen glocks. Also poor, and I can't find a better deal than the shield.
What's /k/ carrying, and do you guys have any recommendations?
That rebate ended. Now there's a new rebate for a couple of mags and some boxes of hollow point ammunition.
>>34484884
In some states it's still 75 dollars not in mine though (ky)
>>34484870
I swap between my Shield and CZ P-07. If you want a good subcompact on a budget, then the Shield is a great buy. Like everyone says, the trigger sucks but it's not unusable that it's so bad. If you want to make your shield into the BEST subcompact, then get an apex trigger and mag-guts mag springs n base plates. That's like $150 altogether, so it is a bit steep for a cheap gun, but do I love mine.
Is it possible to design a cartridge without using gunpowder as the propellant? If a cartridge simply uses the rapid expansion of gas to propel a projectile and cycle the action, it must be possible to use an alternative gas-producing material in place of the powder, right?
>>34484848
Cordite has been used as an alternative.
Yes. The answer to your entire paragraph can be summed up with yes.
>>34484848
Yes. Can you get something as stable as smokeless? Probably not.
Personally, I'd love to see an H2O2 rifle. Caseless, sleek, and extremely likely to blow up in your arms if you look at it crosseyed. Perfection.
How much pay does the Military get? I mean like I have been trying to find the pay ( monthly pay ) for the Swedish military but really can't find like an exact pay anyone here knows?

Son.
How precise do you think these sorts of sights would be? It doesn't look adjustable, so you'd apparently be at the mercy of exactly how straight and true the rear sight notch was milled into your gun's slide. Maybe that's why they're only offered for Glocks? Because Glocks are perfect and everything...

Hey /k/, I'm going to a gun show at the end of the month, I'm willing to spend up to 800 usd. I'm in one of the most free states so I can pretty much get whatever I want excluding full auto or weird shit.
Heres what I have currently
tikka t3 hunting rifle
mosin nagant
cz p07
multiple 22lr rifles
black powder
few others, mostly fudd guns
I guess what I'm looking for is either a shotgun, semi-auto rifle in either 308 or 556, or maybe a nice revolver
I'm leaning towards a ar15
any suggestions?
I should clarify that I will probably not buy anything, Ill pick something out and buy it later online when its onsale

Is a small .380 or a lightweight .38 snub better for pocket carry?
>>34483318
The .380 pistols are going to tend to be thinner and lighter. Most people would consider that to be enough, since the goal in a small gun is mainly just the ease of carry.
The revolver has some other advantages, though. You can fire it from within your clothing without worrying about the second shot getting caught on fabric. You can hold it up against the bad guy's chest and pull the trigger without worrying about the slide being pushed out of battery. You can also chamber a slightly heavier bullet with more momentum and therefore more penetrating ability than the .380 ACP. The major disadvantage is that while semi-auto pistols can be made with a wide variety of trigger configurations, you only get DAO (or DAO with a cockable hammer) on a pocket revolver.
Incidentally, there are a lot of .380 pistols that are unreliable, but the small revolver designs don't have nearly as many issues as something like a Kel-Tec or Taurus .380 would give you. The S&W Bodyguard has mixed reviews, most of the complaints center on the hammer spring being too weak. Beretta Pico had a badly received introduction, but might be fixed by now, considering that Beretta is a top tier company. The Sig P238 and Ruger LCP are 100% reliable in my experience, so there are some good models out there, though.
>>34483318
Pocket carry is stupid.
>>34484103
Wrong, faggot.
What's more important to you, having a handgun's sights be made of steel, or having them be visible at night (i.e., tritium)? Are night sights overrated due to the facts that a) if you can't see your target, you shouldn't be aiming a gun at it, and b) when you actually fire your gun, you'll lose your night vision anyway?
I bought two Glocks recently and I installed some basic OEM night sights almost as soon as I bought them; however, I have an HK USPs that still has the stock white dot sights and I never bothered swapping them out to tritium night sights. I'm wondering if I should invest $275 ($100 for sights + $175 sight pusher) into replacing my USP's steel white dot sights with tritium.
Thoughts? What's /k/'s philosophy?
better than plastic filaments
>>34483276
The question should have been framed as
>plastic with paint
vs
>metal with paint
vs
>metal with tritium
