Question about MRSI artillery missions. How specifically do they ensure the shells all hit at the same time.
Does each shell have a different amount of propellant in it.
Or is there something about the parabolic arcs that just makes it happen with identical shells?
>>34507069
Russia uses a JDAM like add on to their shells called Dinamika. It'll home onto the GPS coordinates as long as it is possible. The downside is it costs $1,000 to put the kit into an ordinary shell.
>>34507069
You don't need vastly different amounts of propellant if you can do calculations for the parabolic arcs. It's actually really neat how they do it. There's tons of videos on how it works on YouTube and all sorts of marketing vids for it.
>>34507146
>You don't need vastly different amounts of propellant
But are you saying there are still marginally different amounts?
I'm mostly wondering if the shells come prepackaged that way or you're able to adjust the amount on the field.

Anyone know decent budget knives for starting out? I've never owned a high quality knife.
I don't really wanna pay more than 60$, preferably something around 30$.
I was looking at pic related, but I feel like it costs too much for a hobby I'm just starting out with.

What's /k/ opinion on pic related? I live in slavland and getting tired of it being shilled like some super weapon in local newspapers.

THis gun is so weak in PUBG but it is integrally silenced so that's nice. Being a 9mm round it doesn't do much dmg but the ammo is easy to find.

>grass is always geener
It is an interesting firearm and most of /k/ can't legally own it therefore it's been elevated to god tier status.

Honestly, anything that doesn't look like an AR instantly elevates it to 'must buy' status.

I live in a state with difficult gun laws. Was considering buying a high caliber air gun any that you guys would consider worth it
For what, hunting? Target shooting? What state?
>>34505345
Hunting. Illinois.
Or does anyone have a schematic to a shotgun that I could make that would be reliable. I'm just interested in mating myself without having to go through government processes.
I'm soon to buy my first gun. Was looking at a FX-9 9mm carbine. I've read some reviews, watched some videos on it. Seems legit except for that it doesn't come with iron sights. Any advice as to a good/affordable sight for the FX-9?
>>34505168
just buy a fucking ar15
>>34505168
cz scorpion carbine, beretta cx4, just right carbines, and keltec sub are some other options to look at in this price range.
>>34505313
I've been checking these out as well. Haven't finished deciding yet, just looking at all my options. But if the price of a sight compatible with the FX 9 is too much, I can rule that out.
I'm trying to decide between a few 9mm pistol options. I've gotten some advice but I haven't heard anyone say they actually owned any of the three options.
I'm replacing a Taurus Millenium G2 with one of three options:
Ruger American compact ($420 after taxes)
Walther PPQ or PPS (PPQ is $560 otd after rebate, PPS Is about $299)
H&K P2000sk (about $530 otd, no rebate)
The P2000sk was lightly used, the others are NIB. I can probably get around $125-150 for the Millenium at trade, Walther has a great rebate going on too, but the PPS is a bit of a downgrade from 12 rounds. The PPQ was a bit pricey, but I loved the trigger. The Ruger American, ergonomically, is pretty similar to my Millenium, which i like.
I guess I'm wondering if anyone has hands-on time with these guns. They would mostly live in the nightstand, but i'd like the OPTION of carrying if I want to. I heard that the Ruger American sits in some people's hands weird, but my hands are a tad smaller than average so i'm not sure if that will exacerbate the issue or not.
Sorry for the potato quality on the P2000 pic, it looked better in the photoeditor.
>>34505108
P2000sk.
>>34505108
P2000 is hammer fired, so it's very different from the other two. You'll have to decide if you want hammer or striker.
As far as the rest, the PPS isn't really that similar to the PPQ. PPQ has an excellent trigger and ergoes, while the PPS is a very thin carry pistol with a typical trigger.
If you don't mind CCing a Glock 19 sized gun with a lighter trigger, the PPQ is my favorite of the bunch. If you need a thin as fuck pistol, go with the PPS. If you want hammer, go with the P2000.
Paddle magazine release is great if the option is available.
>>34505108
get the p2ksk esp. if you get the lem. i own a v3 and it is the best handgun i have ever owned. the trigger has a loose point like 1-2mm of play then the pull is about 8-10lbs somewhere along there [the da.], and the right side slide release is kinda always loose for whatever reason. but it is such a nice gun. i am sold on the hk meme - gonna pick up a fs p2k, as well as the usp family later down the road. but make sure you do not use +p or +p+ and brass only your gun will last you forever.

>>34504203
Yes, it is. Only downsides are the awkward safety/mag release locations but that's mostly a personal thing.
92f was my first non .22 gun and I absolutely love it. I did a serial check and the thing is 32 years old but it looks brand new. super fun to shoot and is extremely reliable. I'd recommend it. I got mine used for 500 flat which I probably overpaid a bit looking back but it was marked 600 and the shape it's in makes me a little more ok with it
Marlin shipped me a QD loading gate!
After already having one critical malfunction with the gun, I got my 1895 Guide Gun back from warranty service on Thursday.
I put 20 rounds thru it this weekend, which was fun. When I took it to the range today to zero the gun, upon loading the 3rd round into the tube, the loading gate snapped!
This is a 2017 Manufacture gun, I'd highly recommend you stay away from Marlin right now.

That sucks, I have had great products from Marlin but I agree with the return the rifle. Bad product should equal cash coming out of their pocket or else they will lack the incentive to fix their issues.
if you promised your kid self you would buy a sword once you were in a good place financially, but wanted something usable as oppose to a sword like metal sculpture what would be the most well adapted sword for today's age, and i do say most well adapted because swords are outdated as weapons
my first two ideas would be a cutlass/saber as the general design was one of the few used in warfare along side guns and without armor, or a cane sword as it was used in Victorian England by men who still wanted to carry a sword for self defense but in a time that it wasn't socially acceptable to do so
