Get some industrial strength velcro and attach it to the centre console and a holster of your choice. Instant car holster.

I've thought about this a lot.

I leave a pistol in my console and whenever I am vaguely concerned with a break in I will stash it under the passenger seat from the back.

When I drive my land cruiser I can afford to have one mounted under the steering column because it sits deep enough back and the doors are high enough to where visibility isn't much of an issue.

If you come up with a better solution, please post it.

Technically, some of the laser would reflect but those lasers are magnitudes more powerful. The mirror would burn and lose the ability to reflect anything in less than a second.

There is too much energy to reflect and no mirror is perfect. So some will instantly leak through and destroy the mirror, so it makes no difference.

Armor is better vs lasers. Carbon, water, etc.

How is a hi-point "decent" in any sense of the word? It's thick and heavy as fuck, so it's shit for CC. It is low capacity and may or may not have a tiny proprietary rail that you can't mount a light on, so it's shit for home defense. It has a garbage trigger pull, terrible non-removable sights, and is embarrassing to own, so it's a shit range toy.

So do a hundred other guns that aren't steaming pieces of shit. This is assuming you get one with non-defective magazines, which this company has been known to shit out. And the average buyer of these things doesn't exactly have much money to spend on testing and practicing so you're kind of rolling the dice.
