Why are you looking at dudes on a dating service you homo
Why the hell has armor always been so god damn vulnerable? Everything from RPGs to anti tank missiles to mines could take them out, hell even some dude with a molotov could fuck them up if thrown at the right place. Not to mention they're fucked and easily flanked if their tracks get damaged. And all of this is considering they don't (for the earlier ones anyway) run into technical problems of their own before any of that.
You would think being encased in a thick layer of steel with little visibility would make it much harder for the enemy to fuck you up. Hell planes and ships at least at some point in history where they could not be fought effectively other than in other planes and ships, not for tanks, no these fucks get killed by everything. Will armor technology ever get better than the ability to counter them?
No. Armor is on the losing side of the action/reaction. Better to avoid getting hit in the first place than trying to shrug off everything that could be thrown at you.
Or as Guderian put it: "Better to have long legs than thick skin."

Steyrs website.
They're open tomorrow and the day after as well.
They're giving away a package of their .22 guns.
Unfortunately they're not giving tours, it's just a showroom for all the different Guns they sell/make/import.
>the A-10 gun is irrelevant in CAS

These brits learned just how god tier that gun was. Each of those exploding rounds is equal to a hydra rocket except they are firing at 3100 rounds a minute.
here they are leveling an entire treeline in a few seconds:

GOAT
Yes, please go for a gun run.
Oh wow, it doesn't do anything that PGM doesn't do just as good or better. Better keep them in the air for another 40 years! A10 fanboys are the jet equivalent of fudds.
>>34611647
>Each of those exploding rounds is equal to a hydra rocket
PGU-13/B HEI's projectile is about 13oz.
Hydra 70's M151 warhead is 140oz, and they come heavier.
I bought a m1 helmet today at a flea market for $50 I was wondering if you could tell me when It was made or even if it is real. I'm thinking it was used in the 80s (assuming it's real) because the woodland camo cover and it came with 1980s sun, wind and dust goggles.
>>34611335
I'm definitely not an expert nor have I ever handled one but we're gonna need more pictures than that if you want us to even start. Take pictures of the liner and helmet in critical areas like stamped areas and that sort of thing
I think it's safe to assume it's real, they're not exactly rare or uncommon. The shell could have been made at almost anytime between the 1940's and the 1980's and perhaps only a handful of autists could tell when based on paint composition or some shit.
Otherwise yeah, it looks like 1980's kit.
I was admited to a mental facility for a major depressive episode. I voluntarily brought myself to the ER, but was baker acted into the facility despite voluntarily bringing myself in.
am I prohibbited from owning a firearm?
thx.
>>34611112
If you were not deemed mentally unfit by a judge there's nothing prohibiting you from owning a firearm.
>>34611124
thanks for the reply I'm only asking because of this legal statute which seems to conflict with waht youve told me:
Under 18 U.S.C. § 922(d), it is unlawful for any person to sell or otherwise dispose of any firearm or ammunition to any person knowing or having reasonable cause to believe that such person “has been adjudicated as a mental defective or has been committed to any mental institution.”
>>34611112
When the question comes up, click no and just keep answering questions. They can't go into your medical record to find it. And there's no central database where they can get that information. Just say 'no' and forget you ever were committed.
That is, of course, unless you're unsure of your mental health yourself. In which case, do a little thinking before purchasing a firearm. Have you been in the clear for a few years? Do you ever have suicidal/homicidal desires? Etc. Make sure you're very sure of your mental state.
But otherwise, go git a gun bro.
Were accidental/negligent discharges a big problem "back in the day"? Like in WWII, or WIWI, or prior to that? I have to imagine it was a huge problem but I've never heard about it.
There's a reason they put five beans in the wheel.

mother fuckers in nam would quick draw on each other with loaded weapons because of boredom.

> The Arsenal Bird is a massive unmanned aircraft with the capability to carry up to 80 MQ-101s at one time. When these drones are launched, they are dropped from their holds in the aircraft's wings, flipping over and extending their wings to take flight. The Arsenal Bird launches Anti-Air missiles onto any hostile aircraft that is within close range. Instead of jet engines, the Arsenal Bird utilizes large propellers for thrust.

How would it fare against Stonehenge
>>34610704
Depends on the integrity of the mothership really
It would have to stay far away from conflict zones plus the airfields for it would be massive
If anything gets close enough to hit a win or an engine it can fuck the whole thing
where would it take off and land?
Can you identify this Main Battle Tank?
Many cannot!

oh shit...
So when C&C: Generals was first released, a general in the PLA weighed in, saying the "human wave" tactics employed by the in-game Chinese were wholly inaccurate and that such methods were actually completely discordant with contemporary Chinese military doctrine.
So now I'm wondering, what IS the current doctrine of the modern PLA?
Human wave tactics
Strut about, look scary to inferior neighbors. If they got in a war with the burgers they would just launch cheap missiles from islands and coast at anything that got close enough, but probably wouldn't send their navy out because it would sink faster than Stephen Hawking in a lead wheelchair.

Incorrect.
Missile swarms, followed by infantry swarms!
I'll start with a classic:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eUwJ8WcZ6RY
I seen some cold nights and bloody days
They grab and me bullets spray
They use me wrong so I sing this song 'til this day
My body is cold steel for real
I was made to kill, that's why they keep me concealed
Under car seats they sneak me in clubs
Been in the hands of mad thugs
They feed me when they load me with mad slugs
Seventeen precisely, one in my head
They call me Desert Eagle, semi-auto with lead
I'm seven inches four pounds, been through so many towns
Ohio to Little Rock to Canarsie, livin harshly
Beat up and battered, they pull me out
I watch as niggaz scattered, makin me kill
But what I feel it never mattered
When I'm empty I'm quiet, findin myself fiendin to be fired
A broken safety, niggaz place me in shelves
under beds, so I beg for my next owner to be a thoroughbred
Keep me full up with hollow heads
Always I'm in some shit, my abdomen is the clip
The barrel is my dick, uncircumcised
Pull my skin back and cock me, I bust off when they unlock me
Results of what happens to niggaz shock me
I see niggaz bleedin runnin from me in fear, stunningly tears
fall down the eyes of these so-called tough guys, for years
I've been used in robberies, givin niggaz heart to follow me
Placin peoples in graves, funerals made cause I was sprayed
I was laid in a shelf, with a grenade
Met a wrecked-up tech with numbers on his chest that say
Five-two-oh-nine-three-eight-five and zero
Had a serial defaced, hopin one day, police would place
where he came from, a name or some sort of person to claim him
Tired of murderin, made him wanna be a plain gun
But yo I had some other plans, like the next time the beef is on
I make myself jam right in my owner's hand

Scattered on foreign fields
Lie the burnt out hulls of our dead armour
Old landscape wreckage
And this earth now scorched
Selfless acts of bravery
In the face of overwhelming force
Hold position - position held
Retained new glory sought
Shattered defenses now alone
Cover the tactical withdrawal
Outgunned, outnumbered
Though never outclassed
Spent the ammunition of faith
Weaponry exhausted
Now reduced in numbers
Numbers reduced
To the Last
Face to face with cold dead eyes
The final register of death
Crushed are the adversaries
The kill rate ratio rising
One hundred to one
Honours withheld in travesty
Presented falsely to another
With courage unspoken
All heroes die
