Well, F-22 no doubt for the sensor package and missile technology, wonder how they both stack up for agility?

I need a flashlight with the clip thing so I can use it at night on my hat, but I always thought the clip thing should be facing the other way around, it only makes sense. Also, no backup magazine(s)?
>>34617451
Yeah, the clip should be the other way. And I recently started carrying a spare mag again, among other things.
Is IT accurate? Does it need to be updated?

just saw it tonight
it wasnt a swashbuckling tale of the allies triumphing over nazis
it was an ode to to the "plucky brit" mentality and focused on the terror and hopelessness of the situation with little dialogue and stunning visuals

if you read the article you see that the USMC used defective guns and ammo in the test. It's typical Marine BS, trying to make the Army look bad by any means necessary.

What is /k/ opinion on pic related. Its only sold by acadomy and they were having a sale for 100 rounds for 25 burger bux. I think its a tier or maybe a half tier above tulammo.

I can't confirm, but I heard that Monarch steel cased ammo is just repackaged Brown Bear. Its all I shoot out of my AK and Chinese SKS and Ive never had a problem with it. I would definitely get it at that price.
>>34615986
I really like their 54r because it's hard to find heavy rounds besides the monarch for a decent price.
>>34616303
That too. I shoot a lot of their x54R out of my mosin and have also never had a problem.
My James River Armory AK 74 keyholes occasionally. Someone online said that uncrowned barrels can cause this. I check and sure enough mine isn't crowned. Should I add one?
>>34615898
It isn't hard. Worth trying.
>>34615898
Just put a little chamfer on it, a small center drill works great. Make sure the little tip of the center drill is a good .05" smaller than your bore
>>34615898
Maybe they pulled a Century and used a .223 caliber barrel rather than a .220 sized one?
Should I buy a bulgarian makarov for $275? I don't own a pistol cause they are gay but I figure this ones cheap and I could carry it on me even though its gay.
>>34614690
Do it, they're nice guns even if ammo is a little pricey compared to 9mm. Though if you only want a cheap pistol you might as well get a Hi-Point C9.
>>34614704
I want cheap but I also want reliability and aesthetics.
>>34614721
Makarovs are pretty tough guns. If reliability is what you want, you won't find a better pistol; especially for the price.

So everyone likes to ask the question "How could have Germany/Japan win WW2?" To the point where it's become a meme.
But a question I have yet to see be asked (and one I think is far more interesting/even in terms of odds) is "How could have the Central Powers Have won WW1?"
Also I suppose this can serves as the WW1/Interwar/1900-1936 warfare thread.
>>34614037
Not building a useless fleet (the german high seas fleet was extremely costly and entirely pointless)
Properly preparing and mobilizing the army (ammunition stocks, manpower utilization... plus the kuk army should have been supported and trained by the germans all along)
Not getting the US involved (no sub warfare, utilize german americans for propaganda purposes, publically offer peace when american involvement seems possible)
Of course, point 1 would possibly avert the war altogether, while 2 was a problem for all powers in some way.
>>34614037
Not start it.
With America on the allied side the germans had no chance at all because a superpower that you can't touch across the atlantic will always steamroll you.
That's also without including how massive american industry was and the sheer size of the american army and air force which turned germany into ash.

Here's something I've just saw on another board. If the value of money really is always going down and the price of food really is always going up, is there ever any good reason to not prep?
Money spent on one prep could be spent on another, literally the only downside.
>>34614023
Just spend 200 bucks on a shit ton of cans of ravioli and green beans. 50 bucks on gallons of water in the thick plastic jugs. And 50 bucks on 3 gallon ziploc seal bags and rice.
You are now good to go for 3 months of survival if shit happens.
>>34614023
I'd start by getting some water storage. You can get 7 or 8 gallon jugs from Walmart for like $12 a pop. Means to purify water too. Beans/ rice, then go from there
Is there any reliable source of breaching and room-clearing tactics available to the common civilian, like myself?
Or is it all just "Throw more guys into the room until the shooting stops"
Go through the walls, throw in grenades, or set the house on fire / blow it up.

Yes.

shoot through the wall with a gatling gun
With the passage of HB 1935 in Texas going into effect in September, I find it my duty to finally buy a bowie knife since I will now be able to legally carry it.
I'm willing to spend some decent money on it as I want it to be a fairly quality piece, not just some crap. At the same time it's not going to be an EDC knife, nor an overly intricate wall-hanger.
I've pretty much narrowed it down to the Cold Steel 1917 Frontier bowie knife.
Now, I've never owned a Cold Steel knife before and I know they're pretty gimmicky and their quality can be spotty (not to mentioned I endured the entirety of colsteelfag's reign of terror on this board). However, as I mentioned above, it's more or less going to be a novelty knife.
Any other knives or brands I should consider? I'm trying to keep it fairly traditional looking with a blade around 10" long that's fairly wide.
Budget is something like $50-$150, though I'd like to spend right around $100 (which is where the Cold Steel 1917 falls).
Thanks for the help.

I thought about a few I'd seen that were like that, and they all had blades over 16" or something like that.
While the new legislation does allow for swords, I want this to be a knife (getting a M1913 cavalry saber to fill my need for a sword, lol).

Fudd thread. Post fuddlore and fudd encounters.
Daily reminder that the term fudd refers not to a type of weapon, but to a mentality. You can love traditional wood stocked hunting rifles, as I do, and not be a fudd.
These are some things I have heard my fudd relatives say. These are not exaggerations:
>You don't need a 30 round clip to hunt or defend your home
>Only a nigger would carry a gun cocked
>You should never fast draw your gun. It's too dangerous.
>45 ACP is the best cartridge for killing a human being
>You should never store a gun loaded
>You can't leave a clip loaded. It will wear out the spring.
>Birdshot is great for home defense. Just aim for the eyes.
>I carry a 1911 with the chamber empty
>I don't need a trigger job. I can get my trigger smooth by working it repeatedly and spraying it with Rem Oil.
>>34612618
To be fair shooting a home intruder in the face with #4 or larger birdshot will absolutely eliminate the threat
>>34612618
>>You should never store a gun loaded
Doesn't that speed up the deterioration of the ammo?
