Just finished building my first AR and I see no practical use for it. Might give it to my dad, idk.
I've got the AK which can probably get me out to 300 yards if I practice, and I'm probably picking up an SMLE soon which will allow for about 600 yards. Anything further than that is mostly unnecessary for me but I could always try a Tikka or something.
What role does the AR fill? It's much weaker compared to the .30 cal AK round, and it's effective range is that of milsurp full sized cartridges. Wtf do I need it for?
The heat resistance and lack of recoil is nice but honestly who cares, all I need to do is A) wear gloves and B) practice more. Voila, both AK issues compensated for. Reid Henrichs says it's fuddlore that AKs are less accurate.
Convince my that I shouldn't ditch this POS for a pistol, since I currently don't own one.

Well it is a drop in stock, you could always give it a reddish stain so it has the nice Com Block feel. The scope mount is a bit irreversible but you could always make it weird and get a hold of a PE or PEM mount repro and go from there.
Otherwise the goober in me would love to fit the correct scope rails and mount a 1p21 scope onto a Mosin in this stock, bed it properly and have a neat but kinda frivolous rifle.

Holy shit what an embarrassment. The Ruger was malfunctioning and he couldn't hit shit with it, and he's a really good shot. I mean he misses once in a while but he was missing pretty consistently. The problem is that he won't just come out and say it needs to go back to the drawing board. He could even be nice about it but it only likes the watered down range ammo

In order to prepare for trying out for an intake to military I just did 5 hours over rocky coastline with an 80lb pack.
Will my feet harden up, like will the bones and muscles stop hurting? I was just wearing surplus issue boots but now I cant put weight on my feet.
How do people cope in basic who havent prepared? You obviously cant say "oh I will just stay in bed today, my feet hurt".

Yes. In time. This is the biggest thing that has to happen. You need to condition your feet and the rest of your body. Even if you are very fit your feet just have to get hard. Yes, you can geek out over boots but most issue boots are good enough. And get good socks. I cannot over emphasize good thick hiking socks.
