So I just got a Henry .45-70 in a hugely lob sided trade, maybe from an atf plant, but the point is I love this gun so fucking much but bring myself to shoot more than a box or 2 each month, because of the obscene cost.
Obviously now I want to get into reloading .45-70, whats a good poorfag setup to get going in the short term? I dont really wanna shell out $300+ for a ridiculous progressive loader and powder thrower, and I see that the Lee loader kit for .4570 is only like 30$ is that a good value? Does it actually have everything I need?
Also what loads should I use? What powder or pressures are ok for a henry lever action??
This is gonna be my first foray into reloading so any help or advice would be appreciated

I traded an 870 police magnum, and the guy was a fucking spook I swear, he sent me pic related as the only pic, when he showed up for the trade he was wearing a tucked in button down into jeans, and driving a balck charger with blacked out windows. During the trade he pulled out the same EVO because it just happened to be in the same molle bag the henry was in, he also asked me whats the best place to get a shotgun cut down "On the dl" which is what he planned to do with it. I was super nervous just cause he was giving me a bad vibe, and I laughed out loud and said "Do it yourself bro, Just get that tax stamp!" and gave him the shotgun and his bag back and drove off without talking to him anymore.
Whole thing gave me a headache from the stress, but hey I got a henry for a shotgun i bought for $185

If someone invaded your country and you had to fight in a militia what weapon would you use
Rules: MUST be a weapon you own.
You MUST already have ammo for it, if you don't you can't use it
You can do field mods such as making a rifle a pistol or making a bayonet or such

getting a 5.56 AR soon I won't be /nogunz/ anymore, but I can't hunt deer wth 5.55 in my state (Indiana).
I need a cheap rifle in .243 or larger to hunt deer with, or would it cost the same to just swap out my AR upper with a larger caliber? Plox help

Dude, buy a marlin 336, great deer hunting rifle and everyone needs that lever gat. Should run you at about $400 for a new one, i enjoy mine a lot. Also new marlins arent shit anymore, just make sure you get a NEW one like at least 2014 or later.
