Whats my effective range with a rpk ?

Club foot edition?
What are your thoughts on surplus ammo from other countries? Is it best to stick with other ammo even if it's more expensive and possibly better quality?
If ammo is good, get the cheapest avail.
Not complicated.
Usually when I buy bulk surplus ammo I don't have problems. Stuff from the Czechs and other east europe combloc countries. Plus the crates are fun to have.
>>34675561
i shoot ammo from 1965 out of my TT-33
never had a problem with it
Americans don't realize how good they have it

I just tried shooting with my revolver at the range after leaving it locked up in my car overnight and I was only able to fire like two bullets before the cylinder refused to cycle. I took out all the bullets and it dry fired just fine, and when I put some fresh rounds in that I just bought the gun worked fine. The bullets I left in it overnight in my car wouldn't work though, and I was told it might've been because of how hot it was outside.
Has anyone else had issues like this before? Are these bullets now defective or something? I was told before that changing temperatures could mess with ammo, is there a way I can prevent shit like this happening again?
Who were the manufacturers of the ammo and the gun? What cartridge?
>>34675200
It was a .357 EAA Windicator revolver, and I was shooting .357 Hollowpoints made by a company called Hornady
>>34675227
That's really strange, no ammo of the quality that hornady is should be affected by even significant exposure. I really doubt the ammo was the problem here

What are the implications of a future where nuclear power is made compact and reliable enough to power many military vehicles and equipment?
Planes powered by closed cycle nuclear thrust with indefinite loiter periods, tanks with compact fusion reactors capable of powering formidable directed energy or magnetic acceleration weapons, etc.?
Would the possibility (or inevitability) of mutually-assured irradiation keep future military forces from utilizing such technologies? Will nuclear power never be utilized below the scale of naval supercarriers, even in a future where it becomes far more manageable and mobile?

>What are the implications of a future where nuclear power is made compact and reliable enough to power many military vehicles and equipment?
Thunderbirds, but with more guns
>>34674866
There's literally never going to be an atmospheric nuclear aircraft ever again.
unmanned solar UAV's like the UK's zypher will fulfill that role for less money, in a safer and more effective way.
>>34674941
Solar power is quite limited beyond light recon roles.
Imagine strategic airlifters with massive thrust capabilites only needing to refuel every thirty years. Spooky gunships capable of raining down gigawatts of energy. Would military requisitionists be capable of resisting such possibilities?

What are the tactical advantages to pissing all over the floor of your air craft carrier?

>>34674647
Urinals are slimmer than toilets and require less piping because they are for liquids only.
What's the tactical advantage of being a gender neutral floating safe space?
Does anyone here own a 7.62x39 Galil ACE? Tell me about your experiences. I'm trying to decide between this and a CZ 805.
its like an ak47 only its costs more than a incredibly good AR
>>34674550
Thank you for your useless opinion. I'm not in the market for an AR-15.
>>34674592
It's like the old galils but uglier and more expensive.
Probably the shittiest looking gun being manufactured, and they don't really offer anything over a good AK.
Get an SGL-31 you fucking retard. If you really have to be contrarian then get a Sig 550. The CZ 805 is just a poorfag SCAR.
Does /K/ have battle stations?

Well, uhh, think of it as weapon cleaning station. Armchair operating station.

I honestly believe that what Obama did when he pardoned Manning was a calculated move to kill an enemy of the state while also earning points with his supporters.
He got good guy lib points for releasing the shitbag tranny, and sooner or later Manning is gonna get a knife in the ribs, or better yet, an hero.
Obama will release a statement about how unfair or unjust it was, yet smile inwardly because a traitor got his just desserts.
I honestly believe this was his play all along.
>buy ruger 22/45 8 months ago
>go to shoot it first time
>rear sight blade falls off
>lose blade and spring, find screw
>screw came from factory broken in half
>take back to store, takes 3 months of reminding them to order new screw to get it. Buy new sight blade and steal spring out of relay because $7 for spring is stupid.
>start shooting again, gun falls apart in hands and spits debris at me as I shoot
>front sight, rear sight screws and pin, and thread protector constantly have to be tightened every couple mags
>lock tight it
>gun only eats 22 lr thunderbolts, nothing else cycles and it spits stinging debris out at my arms and face at least once a mag
>wear long sleeve and glasses now
>gun is more fun now, only jams every other hundred shots
>shoot it yesterday
>notice I haven't been stung in the face in a couple mags
>maybe it's finally broke in?
>decide to take off shirt because Oklahoma hot and humid
>no shrapnel but groups seem more open and it doesn't seem to be ringing the gong like I remembered
>decide to put it up after just a few mags
>get home
>start cleaning
>find this
I'm guessing a round probably got stuck in the barrel while mag dumping and I didn't notice it but this gun has been a crap show since I got it. I have to buy a new upper if I want a new barrel which cost nearly as much as the gun. Do anons know if ruger will do anything for me here since it was shit even before the popped barrel?
>>34674208
Also, I never saw the anything unusual about the round that caused the pop, no fireball. I kind of want it to be a ruger quality control problem so they will for sure get me a new one but I know the damage screams a round got stuck in the barrel.
Don't mess with the store, especially if they are charging you for repairs to a defective product.
You need to contact Ruger, generally their customer service is excellent.
Also, sorry about the lemon.
>>34674398
Gander mountain is going out of business so no problem. The screw was free anf in fairness I didn't ask about the blade and spring since I lost them but I really should have. They don't have an excuse for being slow and forgetting my order though.
I know ruger doesn't have an official warranty but it sounds like they'll help for some things based on what I've read online. I guess I'll just have to give them a shot. It could have been the round shearing where some got stuck in the barrel, maybe not a squib so I might try to blame that. I realize anything mass produced is going to have a few lemons in the lot, I've heard great things about the gun, if they send me a new upper it might fix every problem I had
