What went wrong, /k/?
Not enough dead French.
he should have stayed in and fought in france
a hundred thousands more frenchman would have joined a defensive campaign
the fact that he got this far was glorious in itself
Napoleon couldnt keep his dick in his pants and left a fucking moron in charge who used all the reserves.
What went wrong?
>>34692261
What went wrong is this exact same thread was posted yesterday....
556 and 762 are obsolete cartridges
>>34692267
Oh good it isn't just me.
What went wrong is that I don't own one.
The Tiger was the first MBT and the T-34 is not the grandfather of tanks or the most influential tank; the Tiger is and modern tanks have adopted way more from the Tiger than the terrible T-34. The T-34 can also hardly be called a tank, it was a few plates barely welded together with an underpowered gun, it did not fit the category of a MBT at all, are modern MBTs made in big quantities? No. Are modern MBTs made to be replaced quickly? No. Are modern MBTs made to be expensive, highly engineered fighting vehicles with high powered guns and crew comfort + protection and supposed to kill atleast 10 or 20 russian T-55-72-90 crap tanks? Yes they are. Tiger did the same thing in ww2 but with T-34.

Not an argument.
>its an mbt
What's /k/s thoughts on thew Boeing T-X?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QI7IzG2oEOM
Boeing and Saab were pretty quick to get it off the ground. Probably lot of work done as preliminary studies as privately funded programs on last decade or so. If performance is right and it gets selected by USAF (and later on by other branches of US military) it will have bright future ahead.
why tho

T-38's are old as hell and starting to fall apart.
I hate every single one of you edition.

How would I become Green Beret?
..join the army as 18x mos?
>>34691920
You don't.
Use your superpowers.
Tell them what kind of penguin you are.
I'm a poor hispanic male with no friends, and no plans to attend college anytime soon. If I join the Army, what should I expect /k/?

This and chronic pain along with some STDs

Would I be able to support myself financially and build a family after I'm done? I'm already off to a bad start regarding the social aspects of life.
Some guy told me once that I haven't truly lived until I get my first knife wound/STD, and the Army might just be able to give me both.
How's everyone this morning? wondering what you guys think of the Canik TP9 (Pic)?
I've heard literally nothing but good things, and was originally going to get either a Taurus Millennium G2 or a Ruger SR9E just so I have something for defense while I save up for a Glock 20.
Does anyone have experience with them? At all the gun shops and even on armslist they go for about $400, are they worth that?
Thanks in advance for any info and replies, thanks and have a good one guys.
>>34691707
>Canik
You shouldn't buy muslim shit
and you REALLY shouldn't buy roach shit.
>>34691721
Yeah I know they're made in turkey, was just wondering if anyone owned one or had any experience with them
>>34691707
Canik is awesome in my experience.
I have a Jericho clone marketed through Tristar.
Countless rounds through it.
No failures to feed.
Eats everything.
Was cheap.
Easy to find mags.
Has never jammed.
Great trigger.
I've heard the same for literally every other Canik product I know of.
I'd never hesitate, honestly. If you're "I can't give money to a TURK" that's one thing, but I don't believe in ethical consumption, so for me it's what the fuck ever.
Rody hires you to go out and kill junkies. What does your loadout consist of?
methamphetamine laced .22 bullets.
>be dealer
>rival dealers/neighbors have been uppity lately, selling on my turf despite our agreements to the contrary
>last straw
>grab a few of the boys, kick in their door at 3AM, and gun them down in their nighties
>grab all but a little bit of their product, and report to the local police that you took down a big bad dealer
>hailed as local hero
>have more product to sell, plus any guns/electronics/cars/jewelry/collectibles/children I might have nabbed in the process
>fall asleep on top of my throne made of blood money
>wake up
>go to market to get supplies for your jungle safehouse/cook lab/warehouse
>die in ISIS attack
What does my loadout consist of? A plane ticket to anywhere that isn't a death squad infested hellhole.
Street Sweeper
So 12g slugs don't have a whole bunch of preventative power, they are able to be stopped (to my knowledge) just from kevlar alone provided it's thick enough.
How damaging would it actually be to be hit by a 12g slug while wearing kevlar body armor?
>>34691523
2.75"? 3"? 3.5?
Bird? BB? Buck? Slug? Nitro? Buck and ball? Sabot?
>school's a bummer, thank god it's summer!
>>34691530
>being this incapable of reading
2.75 just for arguments sake, even though you're being intentionally obtuse.
>>34691523
A 12 ga slug ways about 24.8g according to wikipedia. It flies at 1800 fps. If you got stuck by a 12ga slug it would inflict 13606 newtons on you.
according to this article it takes 2,300 newtons to crush a human skull. If any of the shit I fumbled together is true it would probably just bruise you.
Any other rootin' tootin' cowboy shootin' lever action fans? I can't get over the ascetics of these guns.
For those with experience what sold you in the first place? I'm in the market for a lightweight .22 lever action for varmints and plinking, general ranch gun so to speak, and was wondering if a cheapo Henry carbine does the job alright or if I should put in a little more and get a browning Mini Midas or an old marlin 39A mountie.
>>34691422
Perhaps you should google for in-depth reviews? I mean, asking 4chan isn't really a good jumping-off point.
But if you want my opinion, lever-action .22's are fucking pointless as fugg.

I remember the apologists trying to pull stuff out of their ass why Fitz wasn't at fault when it was pretty clear back then that according to the rules, Crystal had the right of way.

A merchant ship rammed into a war ship weeks ago.
Who the fuck gives a fuck?

Obviously you do. It made you click the thread, take time to formulate a retort and then post it.
Not as funny as the Filipino Navy having shit ships lol.
Greetings, /k/.
In general, I consider myself a pacifist: I believe all wars are senseless, and nothing can justify the countless lives that war has destroyed. However, I'm not an idealist: I realize that war always has been and probably will be, at least for the foreseeable future, an unfortunate part of our reality. That said, I'm fascinated by weapons and other military hardware, and have been for as long as I can remember: tanks, jets, missiles, warships, and of course firearms. Their destructive power captivates me in a primal sort of way, and I think they're cool as fuck. Like most of us here, I know way more about guns and military tech than the average person, and I'm learning more all the time. I love war movies and FPS games. But, without war, we'd have none of these things. None of these instruments of death would exist.
>TL;DR
I'm having a hard time reconciling my love of weapons with my aversion to conflict. Has anyone else struggled with this, and if so, how did you rationalize it?
>>34691275
War is no more than politics; an extension of power. War has, because of this which also includes much money and influence, improved the state of weaponry in an unstalling progress in order to get an edge over one another.
War will continue, and citizens are afforded by their government to own certain firearms, hopefully effective ones of use in the modern age.
>>34691320
I'm not really sure what that has to do with my question, but thanks for weighing in nonetheless.
>>34691380

roll
hey, /k/
a not so complete list of rifle cartridges. If I was going to buy and shoot a weapon, or reload for one, or produce ammunition, I would go by this.
red = no, get rid of it
green = yuppers keep it
yellow = on the fence
black empty circle = I don't have enough information
thoughts? comments? criticisms?
something I nixed I shouldn't have? something I should throw in the garbage and never ever shoot? your preferences?
your pic is too small

best res I could find. I could read it, why can't you?
>>34690915
I think if you actually wanted to reload ammunition, you wouldn't be posting this stupid of a thread on 4chan.
