Hey /k/, what do you do when you're going to the movies and you see this sign on the front door?
>>34718592
nothing because it doesn't have force of law in my state
Forgot I saw the sign and go in. If you leave when they find out and aren't an ass generally you're fine.
>>34718592
Carry with one in the chamber and the mag in my pocket.
I always see people talking about how Lucas based alot of his designs on planes and tanks from WW2, but looking at the actual planes themselves makes this really confusing. I mean how the hell does an X-Wing or TIE even remotely resemble a WW2 fighter?
>>34718469
He didn't? Most of the designs are based off art from Ralph McQuarrie. The way they shot the dogfights and the lasers looking like tracers were inspired by WW2 footage, and the Empire's uniforms resemble WW2 German uniforms but that's about it.
The spaceship models are more based on the sci-fi Lucas was familiar with growing up. It's more the whole idea of a "dogfight" being a WWI/WWII thing, and some of the fighters had characteristics similar to WWII planes, relative to their technological level of course. Like performance of the TIE fighters was heavily inspired by the Zero (cheap and highly maneuverable, but dies instantly the moment it comes under fire).
>>34718469
I haven't heard anything about the T-65 X-Wing being inspired by anything WWII, and I'm a semi-decent star wars nerd.
However almost all of the guns are just chopped up real guns, a lot of which are from WWI/WWII era
And what should I sell it for?
>DPMS lower
>PSA complete upper I bought for $320
>MOE rifle stock
>other random accessories like $50 worth of sights, MLOK QD mount, BAD lever
Spare me the "it looks like shit" replies. I think it looks good but I've set my sights on a CZ Scorpion carbine, and I'm hoping this will pay for AT LEAST a little more than half of that ($450)
>>34718212
I'll give you 250
>>34718212
carry handle looks a little out of place brother
>>34718234
I'm thinking more like $450
>>34718241
Saved, sauce? And thanks for advice
That time of the year to go on a bug hunt. The fuckers are really pissing me off this year. Not this pic, but they've built a big ass nest to close to my place. What is the most /k/ommando thing to do?

Even super sonic 9mm is better than sub sonic 45.
Bigger hole more noise.
>>34718136
Depends on your intent tho
if you want a bullet that is subsonic but still packs a punch enough on someone, you might want a heavier bullet to do the job
Basics physics, at the same speeds, heavier bullets have more kinetic energy
>>34718039
Only nocans think that.

Just a little rant here, hear me out.An Icincident happened at Wal-Mart a few weeks back. So I was actually looking for some 30-06(220 grn Winchester supreme to be exact) anyways I found a box went to the register to pay for it when I happened to see a guy probably mid 40s ask for some .22 ammo, I could see he took the last 3 bricks they had. Shortly after a man and his son walk up to the ammo case, he gets some 7mm. Then he stops turns to his son as they were walking away and I hear his son say "daddy can we get some ammo for my rifle so I can shoot with you?". His father replies yes and they make their way back to the ammo case, I saw an upset look on the fathers face then he asked the associate if they had any .22 at all. She replied theyre sold out. Here's where I got pissed. I turned to the gentleman that I spoke of earlier that had hogged the last3 bricks and I asked "Hey sir, would you mind giving this father and his son a brick of that? I see you have 3 and that gentleman and his son are looking for some." Of course he replies "first come, first serve." Now it got under my skin knowing that the father and son wanted to go shooting together and this greedy ass was preventing that from happening. I then turned to him again saying "this will be the last time I ask nicely, please give them a box of rounds, no need to be greedy.
>1/1
>2/2
To my suprise he hands the father and son a box of ammo. The father shakes my hand and his son looks up at me telling me thank you. Okay, I see the name of this video and I know .22 is popular, spread this for me and think before you see your local walmart/bigbox store has .22, think before you go greedy bastard mode. No offense to anyone of you or the video poster, you all seem like great people. I understand its cheap and fun to mess with .22 but please, cmon and save some for the kids. Especially if you're 30+ years old and can handle a bigger caliber than .22. I shouldn't see you buying it like its junk food. Buy a bigger rifle and shoot it cause you're capable. It gets under my skin to see 175+ pound guys buying all the .22 up. If you're like me, you started out with a .22 when you were a kid. Now days, you might as well hand the kid a .308 cause grown ass men are shooting the round that trains kids. Once again, no offense but think about the little ones getting into shooting before you get greedy. Buy you a nice bolt gun, buy a 30-06 or .300 or something. I'll teach you how to handle the bigger round if you're that scared. ".22 is cheaper" shouldn't be a reply cause that's not true anymore. Hopefully I don't hit anyone's insecurities and inspire a few of you to buy a different caliber, I just hate to see greedy asses being the downfall of new shooters or even father and son time.
Thank you all.
But what if the first guy was buying that ammo so he could go shooting with his son
Is that you in the pic op? Who the fuck carries a digital camera into Walmart?
Also lol tldr
Quick /k/, post fictional guns you like
Bonus points for guns that could easily exist as real, functional firearms if some company decided to make them.

>Put on AIWB holster with glock
>It's pointed at my dick when i'm sitting and at my femoral artery when i'm standing
Uhh is this safe? I've heard of a lot of people killing themselves by blowing their femoral up. It's kind of scary desu
I've carried that way for years. I feel that it's safer because you pay more attention when holstering when something is near your dick/balls
>>34715875
It's not gonna go off in the holster if that's what you are asking.
If you carry that way there are inherent risks associated with drawing and re-holstering, not completely unlike carrying any other way.
It's as safe as you make it. It's all up to you.
>>34715928
This. I also found it easier to reholster, cause your offhand can easily come in and pull away any thing that could lead to a ND.
$30 Andurrson lower, $5 usgi silent sling, and $40 fagpul BUIS = <$500 for a (folded twice by glorious belgians) chrome-lined 4150CMV AR-15 made by FN put together by good ole boys for a basically open-source rifle.

Prior thread for folks playing catchup:
>>34707284
So /k/, if full helmets ever become standard headgear for armed forces, featuring a HUD interface, cooling, and bulletproof materials, what visor configuration would be most effective? And if not visors, what about cameras on the outside linked to a monitor within the helmet?
Stylistically I'd like something akin to pic related
>if
They wont. Before we can fix flaws in full headgear we will already have had automated warfare
>>34715707
This. They brought them in specifically for vehicle gunners and even they ditched them when they could. Even with air flow and not considering weight concerns, there's something unpleasant about having something catching breath right in front of your mouth in a hot environment.
>>34715707
Alright then let's pretend we magically get the technology down pat tomorrow and manufacture them cheap enough and in great enough number to supply them to our country's army, then repeat the hypothetical question.
