What is the most heavily armed bomber in history? Is it the Tu-4? Ten 23-mm autocanons are pretty hard to top.

Yeah, I mean defensive weapons. Also, Tu-4 could carry an RDS-4, 50% more powerful than Fat Man.

Anyone here got any experience having a knife as a "CCW" or back-up self-defense weapon?

I'm trying to figure out what's best way to carry a knife? Obviously I'm not trying to go around with a bowie or kukri, I have one of those pig iron Vietnam era short k-bar knives made for being carried inside a boot, but I have weird ankles and the knife pressing on my lower shin cuts of circulation fast (wearing lose boots makes the knife rock back and forth inside and makes walking unconfortable).

I can CCW a Model 66 .357 without a problem with a large t-shirt and pants, but for some reason everytime I try to carry a knife it just sticks out like I got a side boner. How do you guys do it?

Also I don't think folding knives are very realiable, all models I ever purchased broke on me from simple use, including the fancy ones.

Don't buy shit knives.
>>
1. Never buy a folding knife that's less than $50. Of course those are going to break because they're cheap POSs.

2. Folding knives that clip onto the outside of the front pocket are best for concealment and quick access.

3. Knives are better than nothing in a fight, but inexperienced knife users are just as likely to hurt themselves than their assailant. If you're going to carry a knife for defense, then get training, otherwise stick to guns.

4. In some states it's illegal to carry knives for anything other than utility purposes. Look up your local laws.

As we all know a lot of foreign volunteer served in the Rhodesian military during the bush war.

However i'm wondering how easy was it for volunteers to join the ranks of Rhodesian army? I remember reading stories of two American volunteers. The first one explained how the custom officials almost didnt let him enter the country because Rhodesia was very reluctant to let foreigners to enter the country at the time. The other one explained that foreign volunteers were disliked and looked down on by Rhodesian soldiers (except the brethrens from South African)

Anybody else kinda hate these things because of the amount of retards with no practical reason, or job-quantifying reason using them?
Like when some LEO SWAT group or whatever who is not on patrol in some desert, nor is doing anything to do with the MidEast, starts wearing them?
It's LARPing and i hate it.

I tried to sell it today. The first used gun store in my area was closed because they were on vacation (would have been nice to have posted something online or left a message, but nope) the second one wouldn't take it because the guy who does trade ins wasn't there today (again, would have been nice for them to tell me when I called them and said I was coming in today but w/e) now that I got home I took it out of the case and cycled the action and it's smooth as butter, I'm wondering if I want to sell it at all.

My main complaints with it are
1)It's too heavy for what I'm using it for, which is plinking at an indoor pistol range
2)the 10 round mags are more or less unusable, they stick out right where my hand goes, which causes feeding issues, and they are ugly as fuck
3)I want something with a shorter barrel.

I was going to trade it in for a Ruger American Compact (18 inch barrel) because a year ago at my first time going to a gun range, I really fell in love with the Ruger American rimfire. It felt like a sturdy, accurate and downright fun rifle.

But now I'm second guessing.

So now I have a few options

1)Sell the Savage MK II and get the Ruger American compact
-I'll have the gun I've always wanted
-great stock iron sights with a badass tang safety
-a threaded fucking barrel for under 300 bucks
-I will have one .22 that will serve me for both plinking and hunting
cons:
-I will no longer have a gun with a sexy ass wood stock, but another black polymer wondergat
cons:
-300 bucks for something I'll probably just be shooting indoors for at least a year or two

2)keep the Savage MK II and get a Ruger American
-I'll have both
-bolt action heaven
cons:
-$500 dollars spent on two basically identical guns

3)keep the MK II and get a 10/22
-Have both semi auto and Bolt action .22s
-10/22s are proven reliable and heavily customizable
cons:
-bleh.....another "honda civic" type gun, I already have a glock 19 and an AR for fucks sake. I want to start buying more interesting shit.
-Don't like the controls on the 10/22, I mean wtf is up with the bolt catch? fuck that shit

3)Keep the Savage MKII and get a Mossberg plinkster (pic related)
-maximum money saved and still get two guns. I'm poor so this matters
-Have a shorter, lighter .22 with a unique shape more similar to my AR, good for indoor plinking
-two bolt guns. This is a good thing. I love bolt actions.
-they just look like a lot of fun to shoot.
cons:
-Don't know how reliable mossbergs are. I've heard mixed things. Only a few youtube reviews of the 802 plinkster and very little written reviews (but the youtube reviews are good)
-according to an old forum post I've read the old mossbergs used be absolute shit....until they were bought out by Taurus....if Taurus is an improvement on what they used to be than idk man.
-not a Ruger American.

Right now I'm leaning toward buying the plinkster and keeping the Savage MKII
>>
To give you an idea. My Savage MK II is heavier empty than my AR is with a full 30 round mag, and all the weight is in the barrel so it goes straight to your support hand. It's not super good for indoor plinking standing up.
>>

so of the vital areas, can you be shot in one and survive and/or live for 2-10 minutes? does it depend on the cartridge/distance? why is there such a discrepancy between similar wounds in similar situations?

the easiest way to address this is using the model of a human being as an automobile.

if you shoot the radiator will the car still run?
how about a fuel rail?
how about a tail light?
what if you shoot a tire?

what if you shoot the driver?

the body is comprised of essential and non-essential pieces that allow it to operate. the loss of some will cause an eventual cease in operation. others are more immediate. shot placement and penetration determines tissue damage and loss, and, therefore, the immediacy of the loss of operational capability.

is this what you're asking?

Should people with Down syndrome be allowed to own or fire guns?
Does having Down syndrome bar you from owning a gun in the United States?

nobody under 18 can own guns in the US - period. If a Downs case is bad enough where you have to have a guardian/conservator appointed by the court when you turn 18, you are also barred from owning/possessing guns, period.

That being said, I know in at least states with very liberal gun policies that most who are not sufficiently mentally handicapped are allowed to purchase guns.

The answer to all three is whatever I'm comfortable shooting. Some people like to CC a tiny .380 glock, and some like to carry a 1911. If I'm gonna carry something, I'd like to practice with it and feel comfortable firing it, regardless of the size.
