What's up my /k/ommandos.

I'm really shitting myself here and nervous for my family.

How can i defend them? Are there any tactics or habits I coukd pick up to spot targets and possible dangers from afar? Any books you'd recommend?

Is there a magazine that can reliably feed 300 blackout 230 grain or 247 grain and also longer bullets like Lehigh defense close quarters? Seems there are issues with followers and ribs inside the magazine and also the springs aren't strong enough to lift the heavier bullets.

Can i request for a custom sword to be built? I want a family sword to pass on to my son and his son after him, without being a wall decoration. Anybody know of blacksmiths who can make battle-ready shortswords like pic related? Ive been searching for a store bought one and this is the only one that really caught my eye.

What specific advantages do lever guns have over other mechanisms like semi, bolt, pump, and single shot?
For a civilian in the US is the lever gun still a relevant choice for a main arm? Or am I limiting myself severely for choosing one?

>Lightly armored
>no fucking staying power
>has basically 0 idle time if you need close support
>is ground based instead of space based
>main armament is the ZUX-197 Jagdgewehr 192mm Shotgun
>using a fucking pump action shotgun instead of a rifle
>Max battle load only carries 30 rounds (not including the Beam Saber and 60mm Vulcan
>ZUX-197 carries 9 rounds and 2 can be put on the MS-18E at a time.
>360mm Giant Bazooka II carry 5 rounds each, the MS-18E can carry 2 when at full battle load
>2 Sturm Faust
>the reactor is too small so it has to eject the hard point locks as well as the weapons after use making it way more expensive for repeat sorties than the MS-06
>reactor is also too small to reliably use a beam rifle without risk to the MS-18E running out of juice because it has no staying power or idle time
>despite this the MS-18E carries 2 beam sabers instead of the much more energy efficient heat hawk

Can we agree that the MS-18E program was a complete failure and that the MS-06 will always be much better?

So the title pretty much says it all. I am a mechanical engineering student, and I want to start a small arms company after I graduate, with the ultimate goal of selling my company to Ruger, Freedom Group, or another conglomerate.

Anyways, I have an idea for a gun design never marketed or sold before. Suicide Resistant. As you all know, firearms are used by many people per year to kill themselves. From chronically losing burnouts to depressed bullied children. This is why I believe 4chan is my market. So, would you buy suicide resistant versions of your favorite guns?

The proprietary technology includes the use of suicide resistant barrels. The longest human wingspan is 8' 6", and by making the barrels 4' 3"; no one will be able to shoot themselves with the firearms. Of course, one may still shoot themselves with their toe on the trigger, which is why I will also market an 'enhanced suicide resistance' version, with barrels 8' 11"; to account for the tallest person on Earth.

Of course someone can still remotely trigger the weapon, which is why they are only suicide resistant, not suicide proof. Where there is a will there is a way, so obviously I can't say they will prevent all suicides for liability reasons.

Greetings from /lit, il get to the point, writing a street level hero and need suggestions on real world body armor, specifically whats would you wear if you were expexting to get into a fire fight and had plenty of cash for protective gear?

Why is there so much damn infighting among the gun community? Hardly a thread gets posted that doesn't devolve into pointless name calling within a few posts. This is even so in gun control threads. If there should be ANYTHING we should all agree on, it's the sacrosanctity of the right to bear arms. Instead, we callously throw each other to the wolves, not realizing that we shall soon be next. "I've got my guns, but you don't deserve to have yours," is a disturbingly common attitude. If only we turned on our enemies the way we turn on one another.
