Is the MV-22 Osprey the crashiest military aircraft in history? What the fuck is up with this thing and why is it still in use? Would love to see a body count of people killing in this deathtrap.

Not even close.

S60 Blackhawk is a riskier flight and has killed more military personnel, and even the S60 Blackhawk isn't the worst.

Gentlemen, my gun just blew up... sort of.

A chunk blew out of the base of a 45ACP case and smacked my trigger finger pretty hard.

I was able to hand-cycle the case out with a bit of effort. Aside from some soot on the top round of the magazine, nothing else seems off. No cracks or damage anywhere, gun cycled a few test rounds after.

I've reloaded that cartiridge 5 or 6 times, 5.2 grains of W231.

Anybody have theories on what went wrong exactly?

looks like your average case rupture to me. Means the inside of your chamber is not adequately supporting the brass. post detailed pics, and don't shoot it anymore.

I'd send it to back to the manufacturer with that empty case so they can evaluate it and determine that the weapon is safe to shoot OR fix it.
>>
Is your chamber fully supported? If yes, then maybe something wrong with your firing pin causing it to fire early?

Depends entirely on where you are.
Somewhere like Nevada would be incredibly simple, while Rhode Island nearly impossible.

Real talk about body armor... Why aren't dick flap plates a thing and why aren't there better options for groin protection in general? Is it just because it inhibits mobility or is there more to it?

Inhibits mobility, overall weight, and unfortunately it's not vital to life enough

Are these fuckers worth the extra 100-200 dollars? Trying to take my rifle home for Christmas so that my nogunz family can shoot it and I need something that won't get broken by the retards working at TSA. Every Plano or other generic brand I've looked up always has this comment:
>Well it's an alright case but it's not as durable as MUH PELICAN

Anyone that has flown with their firearms want to give an opinion?

http://www.military.com/daily-news/2017/08/05/army-launches-competition-more-powerful-combat-rifle.html

>The Army has identified a potential gap in the capability of ground forces and infantry to penetrate body armor using existing ammunition. To address this operational need, the Army is looking for an Interim Combat Service Rifle (ICSR) that is capable of defeating emerging threats

>The service plans to initially award up to eight contracts, procuring seven types of weapons from each gunmaker for test and evaluation purposes. Once the review is concluded, the service "may award a single follow-on Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) based contract for the production of up to 50,000 weapons," the solicitation states.

>The Army's Interim Combat Service Rifle should have either 16-inch or 20-inch barrels, a collapsible buttstock, an extended forward rail and weigh less than 12 pounds unloaded and without an optic, according to a May 31 Army request for information.

>The competition will consist of live-fire testing and evaluate the following:

>Dispersion (300m - function, 600m - simulation)
>Compatible with Family of Weapon Sights -
Individual and laser
>Weapon length (folder or collapsed)/ Weight (empty/bare) / Velocity (300m and 600m calculated)
>Semi-Automatic and Fully Automatic function testing (bursts and full auto)
>Noise (at shooter's ear) / Flash suppression
>Ambidextrous Controls (in darkness or adverse conditions) / Rail interface
>20-30 round magazine to support a 210 round combat load
>Folding sights

So anons what's the best tool for job?

Thank kek above that RFPs rarely go anywhere.

It is Shot Show 2018, and Hi-Point Firearms suddenly unveils their biggest project for years: an experimental C9 v2, featuring a double-stack double-feeding magazine, upping the magazine capacity to 18.

Everything else about the gun stayed the exact same; in fact, only minor changes have been made to the slide and bolt to allow for the double feeding magazine to function correctly. Outwardly, it looks almost exactly the same.

Is this a big enough game changer to make Hi-Point into a serious contender for the HD and carry market?

There is no good reason to buy deactivated firearms.

>B-but I'm too lazy to get my firearms certificate but I still wanna gun-like object!

You're a fucking idiot for wasting your money on wallhangers, and more importantly, encouraging arseholes to destroy firearms because they can sell them to you.

You can buy perfectly functional rifles, pistols and shotguns that are unmolested, without a certificate and do the same things you'd do with them except now you actually have a working firearm.

>But it costs too much!

Bullshit. You can pick up a perfectly serviceable rifle in obsolete calibres for the same price as deactivated ones. They're also less regulated. Also, with the rifles and shotguns, once you finally get off your arse and do the very easy steps to get a firearms certificate or whatever, you've got a rifle ready to shoot! And nothing got destroyed forever.
