It would be the return of the battleship essentially only at much much longer ranges. Railgun equipped battleships hurling hypersonic slugs at each other at ranges of over 100 miles. Sounds pretty awful and glorious at the same time.

Why is most combat clothing made out of cotton? Seems synthetic would be better in every single way, especially in the Vietnam era. Was it just too expensive? Or was the quality of the time not advanced enough for combat use?

This. Cotton might burn, but it resists burning from sudden bursts of heat such as explosions or gunfire or even holding something hot. When it does ignite, it burns clean.
Synthetics will melt, fuse with skin and then un-melt if caught in an explosion like an IED which turns a near miss with hearing loss into a casevac and probably not coming back because you've got to get skin grafts or worse.
I remember specifically being told not to wear underarmor underwear and shit specifically for this reason. Threaten an infantryman with potentially getting his junk covered in molten polyester or whatever they use, and you listen.

this came up at work today and i think it's a good place to ask since it involves concealed carry and self-defense
if a bounty hunter draws his weapon you, what are your legal rights? imagine a bounty hunter attempts to detain you, with no police present, and you know that you are not wanted. does the county prosecute you if you fire first, since he drew his weapon?
also i've read some that it varies widely by state what authority they have, if any. but they still bring in tens of thousands a year, so mistakes are inevitable.

A bounty hunter isn't by law supposed to draw his weapon unless it's in self defense so most of them probably won't. That being said if a bounty hunter draws on you and you kill him you're still probably in deep deep shit seeing as how you're a wanted criminal and the bounty hunter presumably isn't. So any prosecutor worth a damn is going to get you sent to jail for a very long time.

Handguns are the ultimate CQB gun, far better than rifles for several reasons
upsides
>smol and short: less hassle when trying to shoulder them if you have a plate carrier on or use in realy confined spaces, not a hinderace unlike 16" barrel rifles
>light
>unlike rifles it's easy to aim down your sights with NODs, don't need to put a faggy IR laser on them
>.45 is a subsonic round, and 9mm has a subsonic round that cycles (unlike 556) which means they're very effective with a suppressor inside rooms and wont blow your fucking eardrums off
>RMRs are pure secks

South Koreans use glock 17, 18 and 19, and manufacture their own magazines, including 33 round extended magazines and 50 round drums.
