So I already tried 2 American MRE's (Mac n' Chili and Ratatouille). Now I'm hearing these good things about British and French MRE's, especially the french ones. Are there any sites where I can order these? If so what ones should I try first?

This. Tho a fair warning, some of the disassembly is wonky, such as not being able to pull parts out in the game that you'd be able to I'm reality because it doesn't satisfy the game's arbitrary order of things. Also, occasionally it has you remove parts that are riveted/welded together.
It's not perfect, but it's still really good for seeing how things go together and work together.

It isn't perfect but I love it when a gun I want is in there and I can virtually fingerfuck it/see it work.
I've legit used it a few times to take things apart or familiarize myself with guns owned by friends before I shoot them.
They also have a gun disassembly ipad app that has the same content.

Me and a buddy might be gearing up for a 2-4 day stalk in Centralia. He's going Duty and I'm going Monolith (using the Monolith Survivor's as a reason for being with a Duty lad), gonna try to get all the points we can on Veteran difficulty.

Anyone here own or have experience shooting pic related? Can you put original galil handguard/stocks on it? I've heard that it's well made and accurate rifle, I just vastly prefer the aesthetics of the original late model Galil rifle and would rather not have the unnecessary weight from the railed handguard I won't use.

Hello /k/,
I live in an area where deer, elk, and bear are very prevalent. I'm looking to get my first real rifle, but am split between an AR platform solution (maybe exchange the uppers depending on my current need) or a non modular solution (Savage axis, AK, did). Does anyone have some advice on how I can optimize my first purchase? I have heard a lot of negative criticism about hunting with an AR as well, but I'm not sure if people are just traditionalists.

Some things yes, some things no. I assume you mean US? When I was in there weren't enough acogs to go around, but grunts had priority. You could tell a pog from Infantry just by looking at their rifle (and clean cammies).

Would it be better if we equipped SAW gunners with a more mobile platform such as an RPK or an M27 IAR(implying it will ever be used as such)?
It is pretty commonplace to have not one but two SAW gunners within the same squad, my question is. Are they necessary? To me, on the squad and fireteam level, open bolt belt-fed weapons seems more of a detriment than an advantage.

In a sense, in these situations, the team will always be a man short. Why? Because you're not gonna send a dude with a machine gun to clear a building/room.
On the other hand. Equipping squads and fireteam's with a beefed up service rifle.

>High capacity mags/drums
Would enable these small units to have the same suppressive capabilities while being able to maintain high mobility. Interchangeability between weapons remains, just like the m249, and unlike the 249, you can still perform tasks related to a rifleman such as assaulting and clearing in close quarters if need be.
The m249 and L.M.G.'s in general in my opinion just seem to overburden the soldier and slow down and hinder small units altogether.

The Platoon level Machine Gun team and Weapons squad is there for a reason. I'm not arguing over the replacement of MMG's/GPMG's such as the 240. They absolutely have there place in the field.
