I'm semi new with the AR platform and was looking at side charging AR uppers. My main question is if you can get a side charging upper (looking at the mega billet right now) and use a standard bolt with it. Also general side charging pro/cons and hate.

I only shot a gun in class and in a shotting range when I was a kid and I didn't understand what was happening anyway, basically I'm a complete baby here
In an hour I'm going to be at a shooting range, how do I not fuck up, /k/, how do I hold a gun, where to aim to compensate the error? (I don't know what guns exactly I would be shotting, but it would be a rifle and a pistol)
