First time poster and amateur writer here and I was wondering if there is an actually qualified difference between the two or if there even is one? If there is, is it a matter of caliber of ammo, weight, or design? Or is the distinction merely something that comes from things like Vidgya?
This should answer all your questions, OP.

Being a pistol, generally. Its not that complicated.

Didn't think the explanation would be so simple, but thanks all the same
Thinkin' about some of them purdy wood grips for my Baretta, but I have seen reviews of people saying they make their gun too "thick".
>I don't get it.
What am I missing?
I have the aluminum grips from Hogue, and they seem to be the same size as the stock ones.
Don't know what I got, help me out. I'll show more details on request.

I think it's a percussion cap muzzleloader. Might be wrong, could be a Glock 19, both blow up in your hand anyways.

It's what normies do. Here most people are willing to expose their weakness and talk about their feelings and we get it. Vince on the other hand just sees this place like any other social setting. This probably sounds retarded but he doesn't find this place and it's people "special", it's just another group of people to jostle around with and put on face for, y' know?

Alright /k
Op is looking at either a new AK or a new AR in 20" barrel.
I own a 16" diamondback ar, but Im having second thoughts about the short barrel, as Im really looking for maximum damage possible.
I found a PSA complete rifle (freedom fighter kit with anderson lower) for 400$, but im womdering If I should just stick with my 16 inch and save a few hundred more for a quality AK/WASR.
SO IN SHORT - does it make much of a difference using a 20 inch barrel vs 16 inch at 100 yards, and which would do maximum damage possible to either hostiles/ game
And would it be a better option to look for an AK for damage?

You're not cucked like the military who were forced to use FMJ and relied on pure fucking velocity to cause reliable fragmentation. This is the future. Use 75 or 77 grain OTM like Hornady Tap. Also get the WASR. At 100 yards, I'm fairly certain the results will be pretty similar with 77 grain OTMs from a 16 inch and a 20 inch. All a 20 inch barreled rifle and rifle length gas offers is softer recoil and more reliable extraction due to the length of the gas tube. Sure you'd be able to hit farther with the extra velocity but with the right ammo, it wouldn't change much. You'd still be able to make reliable hits at 500 and even then you should be using a full power rifle round. Also 16s are easier to move around in your home and vehicle and really anywhere else. Hell even 14.5 with a pinned muzzle device will be even shorter and your still keep your lethality. Even with FMJ, at closer ranges you'd have reliable frag. Still use OTMs though. 4 inches won't make the difference to a man at like 600 yards you think it will. You're just gonna cuck yourself in all other places except a range and wide open space
It seems any rifle chassis system I find goes from $900 to $3000. What sort of economic logistics could possible produce this price?
Cottage industries with substantial investments in tooling to recoup, coupled with a small but highly autistic market demand
>>34740733
So it's an economy of scale issue then.
AR fag here.
I was wondering what you guys look at before you buy an AK? Can you break it down to 3-5 main points? I've watched AK Op Union's Vid, but I struggle to find his key points.
I'm just so used to the modding ability that an AR has and having an AK makes me nervous because I can't easily change crap parts.
Thanks,
-AR guy

A reputable brand if new.
If used, how much bullshit does it have on it?
Plastic furniture?
That's usually a sign of a cheap bastard who didn't know what he was buying.
From there, this pretty much covers the minute details.

And when buying a kit build, this most DEFINITELY SHOULD BE FOLLOWED.

You have a few different options for guns that shoot 7.62x39, so whatever your role is a certain gun might fit it better. If you've already settled on the AK, my only criteria is it has to be Russian. You kind of missed the boat on that one, you'll either have to pay thousands on one or get a second rate arsenal for way too high of a price.
Stay away from all America made AK's. This includes I.O., DDI, Century's C39 and other American builds and finally the PSAK47. Also stay away from Norinco ChiCom shit.
WASRS used to be shit but QC has improved quite a bit in the last few years.
Yugo M70's, M92 PAP's & M85 are mid-tier. Just make sure the sights and gun aren't canted and they will be just fine. Better finish than the WASR, too. Also designed to remove kebab.
Actual Russian and Bulgarian (under the name Arsenal) tend to be your best bet.
With all AK's, check for finish, tolerances and most importantly -- gun cant. I've see even the most expensive Arsenals with a cant.

the nugget?
Hey /k/, so i was thinking about picking up a sporterized M1903 or something for around $250 like that and refurbish it back to its original military configuration. I'm sure I'm not the first one to think about doing this so are there any tips you would give if you have? Would it be better/cheaper to just buy an original?
>>34738376
depends on the particular rifle and what damage was done to it. the picture you posted has had the receiver drilled for a peep sight and will need a new barrel most likely. its not worth it and honestly that sporter looks like a fun target gun, id just savor it as a cheap $250 range toy if it shoots well
>>34738376
also you can buy them in original military configuration for like $600 if you shop around.
a drilled receiver is worthless from a collector standpoint. a GI barrel will cost you like $150 used, $250 if you get new old stock. small parts, the finishes will not be matching, the bolt is polished and will need a new bolt body
its just not worth it unless you can get the rifle for $100 or less
