Insects with tougher carapaces will take maybe a second shot or it won't really be all that effective at all. I've tried it on wasps and it works first shot 70% of the time.

Yes, its plateaued. We've got some neat smart optics in the works, it looks like rifle ammunition is going to all be telescoping in the next 20 years and airburst grenades are going to be deployed at the squad level, but actual firearms themselves are totally dead in the water. With all of these peripheral improvements, we're still going to be using AR15/18 actions and Mauser bolts until we move on to lasers and plasma.

Get given to allies or "moderate rebel groups". The older carry handle ones got given to Israel, the Philippines and probably a few other countries I'm forgetting. These days A4s are given to the Iraqi army and other regional friendlies.

Highly unlikely. The act of having an AR with provisions for full auto/burst would probably be considered constructive intent by the ATF, even if they were made that way in the factory. The cost to civilianize the lowers and bolts would not justify the effort when the market is saturate with ARs.

Sure wish I could buy old PVS-4's and PVS-7's as cheap and easy as they can in the USA. Nothing more frustrating that reading on an NV forum about an American who practically can't give away a tubeless PVS-7 for $500 & no one in Canada will sell you one for less than $4000+.

I have half a TVS-5 that needs the upper housing of a PVS-4 (would like a PVS-4 for the collection too), and I have a handful of gen-3 MX10130 tubes for the PVS-7.
