So I have enough money to buy one handgun, and it will probably be the only handgun I will ever have for a long ass time, I dont have a problem CCW a fullsize but I want a good durable steel frame gun.
Do I get a CZ, Sig, or Beretta?
>>35158406
I love my CZ 75BD. My opinion alone should influence your choice
>>35158450
isnt the CZ decocker terrible?
last I held one i had to turn the decocker almost a full 180 to have it actuate.
>>35158479
I operate mine right at the first joint of my thumb. It ain't bad for me
Looking for a .308 range shooter for decently ranged shots plus occasional deer stalking.
Needs to have:
>Heavy barrel
>Free-floating barrel
>Detachable magazine or a decent conversion I can just jam in there with no work
>Guaranteed 1 MOA at least out of the box
Recommendations appreciated
Also general long range boltgun thread.

there's about a hundred youtube videos about 1000-yards-$1000. you can even find videos about dudes spending half that price for that same distance.
I just picked up a savage 10 FCP-SR in .308 as my first bolt gun. They seem to be widely available and came recommended from several youtubers as well as the guy at my LGS who picked it out for me when I told him what I was looking for.
selling points for me were
>fluted 24" bbl threaded
>detachable 10rd mag
>comes with a rail
>accu trigger felt really good
slightly more expensive than the Remington 700 I was also looking at but came with a bunch of features I would have had to add to the 700 anyways. Hope that helps anon, choose wisely
>show a friend one of your guns
>first thing he does is muzzle sweep you
>newbie that has a shit grip technique on a pistol
>complains about high bore axis
>femboys that act gay but aren't
>"I'll go shooting with you this weekend!"
>don't wake up until sun is setting
Redpill me on these guys
MIC goons
Drones are more expensive than they should be. I wonder why? :^)
Every major defense contractor is the same. I worked for a couple. Corporate culture is 100% blame avoidance, there's more managers than workers, 3/4 of the people are worthless, and you get ahead by creating problems and then taking credit for fixing them
But the pay is decent for the first couple years, so eh. Jump ship around the 5 year mark if you aren't in management yet.
>>35158146
Not real how's that for a red pill
Hello /k/, I have a question. Not sure if I ask here but here goes.
In short,
> I apply for Virginia gun license
> 1 week later wife enrages for some shit
> I call police, I get arrested
>"domestic violence" charge
>2 months later, court proves me "not guilty"
I know the legal shit probably postponed my license being sent.
Should I just reapply for the gun license, or should it still be coming?
???
Just kill your wife and bury body in woods, destroy all electronics. Plan route to where she lives that has no camera, once her body is in your vehicle there will be no telling whether or not anybod besides you is in the car so even if cameras see you drive by they don't have anything. try to find area to bury her that isn't too out of the way so once they see where you went they won't be suspicious. Be sure to find alibi too, maybe a good life long friend.

>gun license
>in America
What.
You mean an FFL or something?
'Cause just owning guns doesn't require a license of any form in 'murica.
>>35158177
I'm talking about a concealed carry license
Once more, we gather to post our favorite German weapons.

Just a quick rundown/translation of a french military article about the Russian success in Syria
>The primary objective was to maintain the Syrian regime.
>Great result despite limited ressources (4000 men, 50-70 aircraft).
>Cost : 3 millions euros per day
>4x less than the US.
>Good productivity, especially the air ops : 1000 "aerial output" per month (thanks to close air base).
>Full commitment from the start + element of surprise (no diplomatic barging, no aircraft, then helicopters, then artillery...).
>They knew that the US wouldn't attack them directly. They immedialty occupied the land ("
unwary pedestrian strategy", since ussr).
>They occupied the air space + air shield (s300, s400) to threat the US.
>Key element of victory was the diplomatic/military joint operation : Put pressure on the ennemy, force him to negociate if possible, transfer the ennemy soldiers to another location (green bus) + Centre for reconciliation for diplomatic and humanitarian aid (ngo, un, locals... great for intel).
>Air force played a major role. Joint operation improved a lot since 2008 in Georgia. Polyvalent (at first Su-25 then Mi-28N and Ka-52 were much better for air support).
>Pilot improved a lot ("only" 5000 civilian casualties despite few laser guided bomb).
>Few military casualties (about 40 kia).
>Syria was a test zone for new weapons. 3M14 Kalibr, KH-555, KH-101; Tu-22M3, Tu-95, Tu-160, Tu-95MS. SVP-24, a new high-precision targeting system for unguided missiles.
>Comeback of the ultra-light motorized infantry. Great to support tank in urban zone. Can serve as anti-anti-tank and polyvalent tool in general.
>New weapons
>Tu-95
Interesting nonetheless.
>>35158074
I remember /k/ being salty as fuck when russians saved the day in syria.
I still smirk to this day
>>35158662
Tu-95MS did get recent modernisation and did get first combat experience in Syria. Wouldn't call them "new weapons" either, but yeah.
>Say Martha I think I'll pop down to the gun store and give unsolicited opinions on guns, ammo, politics, oh I guess anything that pops into my head really. Oh, and I think I'll yammer endlessly to the guy behind the counter while the actual customers who have questions or want to make purchases wait for me to finish my ramblings. Will I buy anything? Goodness no. I'll probably just pick a gun up, give a stranger my uninformed opinion, then set it back down. Well, be back innabit hon.
legit LOLd
>>35157969
I experienced this recently except I'm pretty sure the guy worked for Sig because he became increasingly aggressive any time I picked up a box of ammo that wasn't V-Crown.
Too real
What's being an attack chopper pilot like?

>>35157860

We all feel like total fucking failures time to time. The key is to drown it out with bullshit like anime booze food or videos and try yourbest not to think at all.

Glocks are great guns and everyone should have one.
I have 9000 rounds of .22lr stocked up, alongside my AR and 13 MREs in a safe concrete sarcophagus in my back yard, but what can we do in the face of pic related?
What caliber is best for dealing with snow?
>>35157328
A snow shovel
>>35157328
If you have children, deploying them is your best bet. They will be able to clear your driveway, giving you the optimal conditions for tactically leaving your home, and buying more .22lr
>>35157344
>>35157353
Noreaster here, can confirm. Tactically deploying your children with the best heavy winter coats, pants, hats, gloves, boots and shovels is the best method for winter dealings.
If someone is Open Carrying is it rude to talk to them about the gun or their holster?
No. On the contrary, people who open carry tend to find it rude if they aren't noticed and interacted with.
>>35157229
when i was open carry id have alot of people talk to me. most of them i just had to tell to mind they own business and fuck off.
>>35157247
This
/k/ommiefornian here looking to buy 3 guns
A 22 pistol, a 22 rifle, and a rifle of any other caliber
Right now, what are the cheapest / best guns that fit those descriptions?
Is the mosin still regarded as cheap and good?
>>35157151
The mosin is no longer cheap and was never good.
>>35157151
No shotgun? No centerfire handgun?
I'd suggest checking out Calguns.net, as they'll have more information on the laws, lists of handguns on the roster, etc.
What's your dominant eye?
>>35157519
Haha no shotgun, doesn't appeal to me so much, for some reason
Thanks, I'll check it out.
My right, does it matter so much?
