Why do people hate on the Bersa thunder when it's literally an improved Walther PPK for half the price?
>>34834016
Muh Bond
>>34834016
probably because it's cheap and made in South America by sudacas
Mine fails to feed constantly
Post your cheapest gun ITT
Insecure fags may post their most expensive gun
>>34833966
Cheapest one I actually paid for.
>>34833966
I'm thinking about getting one of those as a nice paper weight
How available is ball and powder?
>>34834112
easy to get but not all that cheap
its going to cost more than 9mm to shoot per round unless you cast your own bullets out of free lead
How long until genetically enhanced power armored super soldiers become a reality?
Too long
Once humanity gets over that "we don't want designer babies"" bullshit would be a great start.
>>34834482
>genetically engineer crops
>a fraction of the nutrition
>probably causes cancer
lets get busy designing those retarded babbys science!
My only handgun is a 1911R1, now looking for a double stack 9. I'm considering a 226 MK25, an M9A3, and a glock 19. Only one I've fired is the MK25. As the sig and beretta models are much more expensive than the glock, I guess a standard 226 and an m9/m9a1 would be a better comparison. Does anybody have experience shooting all of these platforms?
>>34833666
get a glock 17 unless you're under 6 feet tall
>>34833949
5' 10" so king of manlets
>>34834064
get a 19 then
Need any weapon and war related wallpapers!
Can some /k/ommandos give me a rundown on the type-97? how does it compare to other bullpups?
Just wait for the upcoming war in east asia, I'm sure you'll see plenty of them
>>34833484
No we wouldn't. The Type 97 is a semiautomatic rifle chambered in .223, fed by STANAG magazines, and designed for export. We'd be seeing QBZ-95s and QBZ-03s if China got involved in a new Korean conflict. That said...
>5.8x42mm surplus soon
>>34833468
Leafs like them because they're among the cheapest non-restricted semi-auto centerfire rifles they can get. The ergos are dogshit: The mag release and safety are in brain-dead retarded positions (the former probably because they just nigrigged a STANAG well onto the design), and the charging handle is too small. The only way to lock it open without an empty magazine is to stick a finger lewdly up the magwell to engage the lever while also holding back the tiny charging handle. They are supposedly made for the Canadian market but still ship with a Chinese army optic rail for some reason, and there are no rails/slots for other accessories. They are very finicky about which magazines they'll even accept (let alone work reliably with), somehow being both too tight for polymer mags and too loose for metal. The plastic handguard / pistol grip is bendy, and a piece of that same plastic separates your face from the action of a Chinese rifle. Trigger is not awful by bullpup standards but not great. Upgrades from T97.ca can fix some but not all of these problems.
It's shit, in other words, but its praised because its only competition in Pearland are the VZ58, SU-16, or rifles that cost $3000+.
i want to start carrying a fixed blade with an IWB sheath.
carrying knives at work is kind of a "don't ask don't tell" kinda thing so i have to carry a folder in my pocket and i wanna free up that space
any suggestions? i can't seem to really find a lot of things. not a popular market i guess.
i'd spend up to about $200 if the knife was nice enough.
>>34832810
Becker BK 2-9
>>34832845
what about the IWB sheath?
that's kinda what i'm looking for
Any knife with a kydex sheath and a 550 cord tether.
>the 556 is a dangerous mankiller because of its fragmentation and yaw characteristics
Everybody is relying on this fuckin retarded round to frag/yaw, and it does not reliably do so on every shot. (We are talking 16 inches of barrel or greater)
Why was this stupid fuckin meme ammo kept and used for so long by so many people? This shit does nothing but pice pick and leave 22 sized holes.
Anyone here with combat experience that likes this round?
>>34832790
Don't be retarded OP
>>34832790
>Why was this stupid fuckin meme ammo kept and used for so long by so many people?
Maybe it's not a meme round
Maybe "5.56 is a meme" is the meme
>>34832790
>>the 556 is a dangerous mankiller because of its fragmentation and yaw characteristics
That was Vietnam when the ammo then would yaw and explode inside of people. this was an accident never designed that way but was still pretty cool. current design is a Belgian version.
sup /k/, r9k here.
I dont know anything about guns but i have an opportunity to buy a .25 caliber gun that was described to me as "very small purse gun" for around 300 dollars
Now where i live guns are illegal so theyre hard to come by for a robot like myself, and the only other one i could find was a 9mm for almost 1000dollars which is too much for me
Anyway, is a .25 too puny or can it still do its job and anything bigger is just a penis compensator?
>>34832623
Anything can be a dildo, if you're brave enough.
>>34832623
>Now where i live guns are illegal
and what shithole country you from m8?
>>34832646
chile, shit sucks
Hey /k/, Masshole here,
noguns since my State is an oversized gulag. New Hampshire is just up North but I'm not in the financial position to move.
Is it basically okay for me to just go to a NH range and rent a firearm and ammo? My permanent residence wont affect me renting firearms, correct?
Can someone walk me through the process of renting guns at the range?
I found a range where I can rent a Thompson in full auto and I figure if I'm going to pop my freedom cherry I'd better do it the way 2a was meant to be.
>>34832521
>Go to range. Produce ID. Produce money. Go shoot.
Has your dumbass tried calling a range and asking questions? Fucking seriously.
>>34832621
Cool, thanks mate.
>calling a range
I stutter on phone and usually react with anger when people respond like I'm retarded.
Fellow masshole. Essentially you just show up, fill out a waiver, show id, and rent range time. The specific range policy's including whether or not they rent to out of states/people with no LTC/FID should be in their FAQ online. Manchester firing line is a pretty good place to rent, albeit can get pricey
You niggers will argue about everything, so, whats the better heavy machine gun, M2 or DShK?
>>34832493
I actually think they're both pretty good.
Dashka is prettier!
>>34832493
They are both good.
A foreign power invades the United States and promises to repeal all gun laws in occupied America. If they win, America will become a colony of the invading power. Local autonomy will be preserved, but gun rights will become absolute and inviolable. This foreign army also promises to hang Feinstein and all ATF agents. Do you become a collaborationist?
>>34832373
Fuck off
>>34832373
How about we just revolt ourselves and deport Feinstein to Mexico instead? I don't want to be a colony again and I sure don't want to be under the control of a foreign power.
>>34832373
No. Guns will only become more popular after the repulsion of such a force. Plus I love America faults and all.
/k/, how does someone become "sharp"?
by that i mean
>able to spot a camouflaged, crawling fucker from a mile away
>less than or equal to 100ms reaction speed
>better night vision
>able to hear a whisper 50 meters away
>>34832304
Practice shooting at night to improve your sight, then move on to hunting
>>34832304
You don't really "become" it, you either are or aren't. Experience doing it can help, but not making a night and day transformation.
I know only one person who I'd consider extremely sharp. He can see shit like coyotes laying out in fields that nobody else would ever catch unless they already knew it was there.
>>34832304
> Night vision
Genetic mostly, spend time outside fucker
> Hearing
Your not fucking Daredevil nobody can make out a whisper from 50 yards
> See camo from x distance
Training my dude, even then its a tossup of the fucker is really sneaky.
380 suppressed? Good or shit?
>>34832297
Shit
whats it hold like 2 more bullets than a revolver
maybe with an extended
Good.
Why don't we have brain controlled triggers?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ky-uzsw0kqw
>>34831775
Because that shit is expensive
>>34832355
and impractical.
Brain scanning tech would be much more useful in an armor system to help control powered limbs with more precision and fluidity.
But SJWs have already perfected them
