Anyone have any experience with this 1911? Is it a good buy?

I bought one of some guy in armslist. Have tried promag, and Kimberling mags and it has never had any problems. Shoots very accurately. I'm suprised how tight it is for the price. Only down side is the finish is not very resilient to scuffs and scratches

For a few bucks more you can get a US made 1911

You mean a few hundred more? ATI 1911s are about $350 and the Remington R1 is about $550.

I've never handled these 1911s, but I do wonder how all the Filipino 1911s compare against each other.

Hi /k/. So I'm trying to get my shit together for SHTF, but I live in Maine so my weapon choices are more built around the idea of hunting small game and not fighting my way out of LA.

To me, it seems like stealth is paramount in a societal breakdown scenario-- any gun report is going to pique the interest of someone nearby, maybe even miles away, who now knows you have at least one weapon and maybe a fresh kill for food.

So I've been mulling it over, and I've decided to go with an initial scheme of a takedown recurve bow (ammo recycling, relative silence) and some form of small game killer.

Should I go with a .22, a frigging spring-fired air rifle, or, as one person suggested-- a .354 mag with various ammo types: .38 special for varmints, .354 hollow points for primate threats, and something with solid lead for larger animals?

Or should I completely rethink this?

I'm also tempted to go with the Henry survival AR-7 since it all packs up nicely in the stock and needs no tools to assemble/disassemble

So aside from all the bear meat I'll have, I'll be relying on snare traps and fishing nets for food?
>>
>any gun report is going to pique the interest of someone nearby, maybe even miles away, who now knows you have at least one weapon

It's impossible to locate where a single shot came from. So all they know is that there's someone within a few miles that is armed. Which is discouraging, not encouraging.

>and maybe a fresh kill for food.
Also, odds are the person that heard the shot is capable of feeding themselves. Otherwise they'd have starved when society first broke down.

Chapter 1 - Peridot and Garnet
Garnet wasn't easy to understand. At least, that's what Peridot thought. Everything she did was completely illogical. Especially her... situation. Aside from it seeming a bit more than odd to her, it all seemed like a complete waste of energy. It wasn't until they tried fusing that they came closer, and even then, Peridot felt like she hadn't even scratched the surface. She felt there was much more to her, and she still wanted to know. No matter how many times Garnet explained to her the reason why she was fused all the time, Peridot never fully understood. She needed to actually fuse with her. But she couldn't bring herself to do it.

She feared it. But she didn't know exactly what scared her. It wasn't Yellow Diamond. Now that she had done what she had done, she was no longer afraid of the consequences. She was already doomed. Was it the sheer intensity of the experience? She had read about fusion before. Most reports stated that, when gems fused with their own kind, there wasn't any real change. They remained the same but larger. That was it. But when fusing with a different type of gem, the experience was completely different. All had reported that they had "lost themselves". They didn't think as one, they didn't act as one. They became someone entirely new. And maybe that was what scared her

I want to buy a px4sc preferably in .40 but the price is steep for me. Called around my town and one was 425 for g variant in the compact version and the other store had one in Stock for 399 in .40 that is also the compact version.

The sc version 515 both places though. I don't know what to do because I have to do layaway. The store that had one for 425 has great layaway program where it's 90 days no min deposit and can over 90 days if needed. The other store is 25% 60 days only.

I want to get the one for 399 because it's a deal but that place is rude and the women on the phone is a fud.

What should I do?

also, 9x19 isnt allowed here, we can only have 9x21. we also can't use hollow point ammo on duty so...

The internet is giving me some very conflicting information on whether or not automatics are legal in Maine.

So uh.

Can I own an automatic in Maine?

both automatic and manual transmissions are legal to drive in maine
the pedal on the left is not a foot rest. dont ride the clutch or you'll wear out the throwout bearing prematurely.

I have roughly $600 to buy a gun or two, but I live in Maryland. What are my best legal options to purchase? I don't know much about one manufacturer/model from another so explain why please.

save that 600 bucks, and spend it moving away from a nanny state.
>>
>>34840330
I won't realistically be able to move for about 5 years
>>
>>34840358
I moved away from MD. Their is virtually no legal way to use it for defense there. I agree with saving it for now. If you were to get anything I'd personally recommend a single stack merely because their easy to conceal and will almost always be below the retarded magazine limit laws. Ruger's LC9s is my personnel conceal carry. loaded with 135g hollow points.

We have all seen /k/ get-togethers like nuggetfest. Would there be enough interest in a /k/ swap meet? Our own personal gun show basically. We would pick a venue that we could shoot. That way you get to try out a firearm before you complete a private sale. Any interest?
