>Using +P ammunition in a defensive handgun
>Transfering 19% of kinetic energy in a best case scenario if the round exits the body
Unless you are a police officer that requires barrier penetration in an extended gunfight, or live in an artic enviornment where people wear 4 jackets(and bears), please explain to me why you intentionally carry rounds that poke tiny holes in people.
Because carrying my can cannon and 1 pound parrot gun slugs isn't really feasible?
>>34858119
How about carry a standard pressure HST round?
>>34858122
Because higher velocity makes aggressive hollow points open even faster while standard pressure loads have a propensity to get clogged and act the same as an FMJ.
Good evening /k/ what are the best ak mags? I have been using these cheap south korean ones and they function, but are tighter than a virgin on prom night getting them in.
First of all, learn to use a crayon and a file.
Secondly, anything with a circle stamp.
Thirdly, there are no virgin women past the age of 14.
Fourthly, there is no such thing as an AK in the commercial market, very few AKs were ever manufactured; what you are referring to is an AKM.
You can file a tight mag, but you can't tighten a loose one. Use a sharpie to mark all the contact points on your magazine, insert it firmly, then pull it out. Some of the sharpie will have scratched off, this is where contact is the tightest. File down some of the material, use just a couple passes at first. Color with sharpie again and reinsert. If mag feel has improved, congrats, you have a magazine that fits your gun perfectly. If it's still tighter than a nun's asshole, make a couple more passes where the sharpie was rubbed off the second time. Repeat until a happy anon is you.

Jump off a bridge, autist.
So, let's go back 77 years ago. The US used a great many things to cut and slice, as other nations, but had troubles making the final choice. So I propose we post all kind of knifey/swordey/machetey stuff for our general education (other nations too but if it's not OD it's just not the same)
Also; what was the biggest blade used by WW2 U.S? Very hard to find details on such "minor" pieces of equipment as machete and officer sword. Help, /k/
I am disappointed, /k/
>>34858110
Many people on /k/ are from the US and it's late night/early morning, not really prime posting hours.

Should have thought about the time zone, sorry.

Here is an unconfirmed but highly respected source source on the design of the aircraft
Here is the previously shown CGI by aircraft maker made years ago.
can you burry a gun ? like in a plastic bag ?
pic related p5 compact
You can bury a gun in a plastic bag... vacuum seal it for the best prevention from the elements.
>>34857683
gonna vacum and burn the edge,
will the amunition be fucked ?
its not very cold but in winter its max -6 C°
>>34857679
Remove the handles if they are wooden, grease all over, throw in plastic bag, vacuum it, put in PVC pipe with screwed lids, bury at grown elevation just in case. It will outlive you.
should I buy a finnish m39 from classic firearms?
Yes. It's a very good rifle and $400-500 isn't that much more than shitty 91/30s are going for nowadays.
>buying a mosin in 2017
Only if you really want one for collection purposes.

the hell you talkin about? Its going for 250 (minus shipping and ffl fees)

pic related, cold weather one i already have.
does anyone know where i can buy a durable field jacket for warmer weather that has a hood?i can't find one anywhere.
there was some surplus site that someone linked to and i actually found a pretty good one there but i don't remember the site name.
This may not be what you're looking for, anon, but kommandostore .com has many lightweight hooded field parkas
>>34857023
do snaps get loose/worn out?
>>34856892
I have the not-fleece-lined, not-hooded version of that one. A hoodie and a couple shirts is usually plenty for Montana winters. Just layer up.
Can we get one of these going? Serious posters and LARPers both welcome
Template as well

What could go wrong?
> This week's list of Army jobs on offer includes 50 roles, 35 of which are only available to women, the report said.
> Only one of 18 navy jobs listed for the next six months is open to men and the air force has none at all.
Pic related.
I shoot fine with irons, but for some reason I feel the pull of the RMR. I have money to burn.
Thinking of getting one on my Glock 19, have any of you used one and if so, how do you like it? I tried one out at the range and it was dim and I couldn't get the thing to hit to POI, but it was a beat to shit gun, so results are unclear.

You must have loved the movie Ghost Busters!
>>34855879
What kind of degenerate doesn't like Ghostbusters?
>>34855842
I have a roland special. RMR's are the future. They allow you to be more accurate and get faster follow-up shots. Only caveat is that acquiring the sight picture as fast or faster than irons takes a lot of "dry fire" practice of presentation/draw that I did at home. Now I am on average as fast or marginally faster with the RMR. It's really nice for moving and aiming and they allow you to use your NODs and actually aim your gun without the use of a laser - though that doesn't apply for most people.
Also, if you're going to get a surefire x300u light with it, just go all out and roland special it. I had my RMR cuts done by ATEi and they refinished the slide, too. You want to shop specifically for the RMR type 2 which is better designed for use with handguns. Suppressor height sights are good for co-witnessing if you care for that. After the fact I would suggest to get your rear sight set in front of the RMR; even though it looks kinda gay the RMR is your primary sighting system now and it makes sense to have the rear of the lens less cluttered, but it's not too big of a deal either way.
What do you guys think about the GSG MP-40 reproduction? I kind of want to get one but i'm having a hard time justifying it with the whole no stock thing. Also I guess i'm a little reluctant to dip my toe in the wehraboo pool.
>>34855764
Everything GSG makes is shit. Low quality and waaay too expensive. The safety is shit, the magazine is shit, and they have all kinds of malfunctions out of the box. Pass, unless you just really want a shitty mp40 clone.
>>34855764
Enjoy your aids
>>34855764
I've yet to see a GSG gun that wasn't cheap and crappy.
