I want to get into throwing knives, but idk where to start as far as buying some. I don't want some cheap crap, which the market seems to be just flooded with. And I don't want to pay too much. Do I need to just suck it up and shell out the money? Should a good throwing knife cost as much as a good regular fixed blade? What about cold steel brand? They seem like a good Compromise between quality and price.

When it comes to throwing knives your best bet will be to look to the superior craftsmanship of the East. Now you will be asking yourself, Shuriken or Kunai? Shuriken are among some of the most famous equipment of ninjas. Of the several kinds of shuriken, maybe the most typical kind is the flat plate type. The shape of it is like an asteroid with four arms. But actually, there are no more than 40 to 50 types of shurikens. Ninjas utilize those depending on the situation. Basically, shuriken can be divided into two types. They are " The Plate Type " and "The Stick Type ". There is only one peculiarity which every shuriken shares and that is that they are so charred. This is because silk is covered onto a heated shuriken in order to cake the charcoal on the surface of a shuriken. This makes the shuriken less noticeable and prevents it from rusting. Also, the surface of a shuriken gets sandy and easier to paint poison on. Further to this, it becomes easier to throw it because of the gritty face and better grip.

why not get a gun which is basically throwing a tiny knife :DDDDD
>>
>>34890772
Basically for Ninjas, there is no determinate distinction between tools and weapons. Kunai is the most famous weapon of Ninjas second only to Shuriken (手裏剣) . Kunai is made of steel and the shape is like a wedge. One end is a blade, across the grip, another side is a circle with a round hole. The length of Kunai is 100~480mm , the weight is 100~500g. Kunai can not be found anywhere other than in ninja schools. The key point is that it can be said that Kunai is a really original item for ninjas.
First of all, we are going to look at how kunai can be used as tools. To begin with, Kunai is an implement used for breaking a fence or a castle wall. Ninjas make holes on a wall with a Kunai, and they climb the wall by putting their feet into the holes. Sometimes a Kunai itself can be a metal wedge. On other occasions, ninjas can break the wall itself with a Kunai as long as it is not too thick. Ninjas have ways of using kunai to reach high places. For a start, ninjas pass a rope into the hole on the end of a Kunai and tie the rope tightly. Next, Ninjas throw the Kunai to a high place like a tree branch and hook or coil the Kunai on it so ninjas can climb to the high place along the rope. Kunai can also be used like a shovel. Ninjas can make a hole in the ground with a Kunai. Of course, a Kunai can be used as a knife because it has a sharp edge. Lastly, ninjas use kunai as a flint to start fires too, in those days there neither lighters or matches existed.

Just got back from the range and saw that another terrorist attack involving a vehicle occurred in Barcelona. Since this is becoming a more and more popular way of carrying out an attack, it has me thinking: What is the best way to stop an oncoming vehicle granted that you're CCing?

Also: How do personal defense rounds, hollow points etc. perform after hitting windshields/car windows/car doors?

Fast enough and with any kind of reliability? You don't. But feel free to stand there like a dear in the headlights with your S&W brand manchild pacifier, it'll make the world a smarter place.
>>
>>34890676
There's no way your CCW can stop a car in its tracks. I would imagine the best thing to do is mag dump into the windshield trying to take out the driver so he can't swerve after you, then dive out of the way. Hopefully the car will hit a wall or something soon and stop. Only other plan I could think of is going for the tires, but I feel like the guy would still have control.

Just walk away, you won't have to deal with the police and reporters and lord help you if you hit a bystander.

I was wondering what people thought about the cheaper, more basic 1911 options. I was considering the RIA as well as the ATI 1911, but I live in commiefornia and the ATI doesn't seem to be on the certified list.

I like the ATI grips more than the RIA, but either would suffice.

Thoughts on these guns?

The RIA is a pretty solid budget handgun.

Nothing special, but it does everything a pistol in the $300 price range needs to do without fuss, it will eat ball ammo and generally cycle most stuff. Might have the occasional rough edge or so but just sand that down if it's an issue.
Factory magazines can be a bit iffy on occasion, but it's a 1911 so you can just go buy some Wilson Combat or Chip McCormick magazines if it's a problem.

A lot of people say the cheap wood grip panels are a little chintzy, so they often buy replacements. Don't spend a lot of money doing upgrades and stuff beyond that though, you'll quickly run up in costs equivalent of a plain nicer 1911 if you do.
>>
ive got a ria 1911 gi
id recommend it if your looking for a budget 1911.
i bought mine for a range toy/collectable not for self defense (it would be ok as long as decent mags are used)
Its not particularly accurate and .45 is pricey if youre a poorfag, but it will shoot when you pull the trigger and has a solid build. I added a curved mainspring housing as well as a checkered grip

What do you do with your holstered gun when you're shitting in a public stall? Do you remove the entire holster, just the gun, or do you let it drag your trousers to the floor? My holster isn't too hard to remove and put back on quickly so I just remove the whole thing.

Have it drawn and pointed at the door incase someone comes in.

Take it out of the holster and set it in the underwear hammock. If floor is wet/or just terrible shitting environment then to avoid my pants touching the floor I stick it in the pocket.
>>
>>34890540

First off, I don't shit in public restrooms.
Second I'd shot in the handicap stall, so no one can reach under the stall easily, try to take my gun.
Third, I don't pull my pants all the way down, leave it mid thigh.

Doesn't the existence of SEAL Teams basically make these guys obsolete? I mean, Virginia State Police could pull security for Delta, Marine Raiders are tougher and Special Forces are more elite. Can't we jus admit that at this point these guys are basically SOF Larpers?
