Should I buy a hi point or save up that much more for a radom p64?
I just want something that'll last forever
HI point bonus:
Really cheap which means I can have it now
Available in a variety of calibers , maybe I'll get a 45!
Radom:
Not a hi point

If you want something that'll last forever, save another $100 and get something like a S&W 5906, all steel and built like my dick.
You can even get flush fitting 17rd MecGar magazines for them that are super high quality (though it'll cost a bit).
>>34895255
arent those $500
If you got airdropped into a Brazilian favela with only one weapon of your choice and three mags what weapon would you choose? How would you survive?
You have to survive 3 days and 3 nights after that you must make it to the Rio coast where a Delta unit will be waiting to extract you.
>>34893842
you can take a cab out of there. like, it's not sarajevo -most of the time-
Gold plated deagle to be presented as tribute to the local overlord in return for safe passage as well as 3 mags of solid gold deagle brand bullets to pawn and barter
>>34893853
Not if you have to survive for 3 days as an armed foreigner
So how come despite having more tanks and a larger airforce the French got their shit pushed in so bad?
No meme answers like "they didn't expect them to go around the Maginot line" that's the whole idea behind the Maginot line, to force the Germans to fight through Belgium first giving the French time to fully mobilize.
Literally all they had to do was dig in on the French-Belgian border and wait.
They used their tanks in ridiculously poor ways, and their entire top brass / procurement was a special kind of beaurocratic hell. Any modern general with hindsight could push Germany's shit to the Rhine in days. Except you. Waiting is the worst thing they could do.
>>34893554
If they'd just manned the Maginot line and the forts along the Italian border with the minimum amount of troops then focused all their armor and everything else on the Belgian border the Germans would not have set foot on French soil.
>>34893651
Sitting still gives the Germans the initiative. Push the entire tank force through the Saarland in September 1939.
Show us your vintage and antique beauties.
This is my pre WWI Dreyse M1907. This version is not particularly rare, but rarer than the later post WWI and WWII versions. This one actually belonged to my great-great-grandfather who served in the German Army during WWI as an officer. Still functional and reliable.
What have you guys got? (doesn't have to be a firearm necessarily, antique swords are just as welcome)
That's a cool relic anon. A damn good story behind it too.
>>34893418
A lot of my old items don't have great stories attached. Here's my FN 1900, made sometime around 1905.
Here's another old one, a Steyr-Pieper M1907, made in 1911.
I have this steel ww2 german style replo helmet and i want it to be combat ready for modern day. /k/ what can i do to make this thing both efficient and durable for today's standards?
>>34893270
Ranbows
>>34893270
linex.
>>34893270
Sell it.
It's not worth keeping.
The Germans lost for a reason.
Think you could neutralize them?
QUIERES MORIR!?
>>34893181
Tap the standing guy throygh the skull, quick swivel to double tap the fat guy center mass, move over to standing guys body and double tap driver. Done.
>>34893181
Given how they're just standing/sitting there, shooting them would be easy.
Any /k/ approved guides or youtube challenges that will teach you how to fight. Not to box, but to go all out in a fight.
>inb4 concealed carry
>inb4 carry a knife
I want to learn how to fight, that's it.
learn krav maga
don't be afraid to gouge some eyes out
>>34892731
You can't really learn to fight from a video. There are so many foundational things you have to learn, like stance, weight placement, hip movement, none of which you will correctly pick up from a video if you're starting with no knowledge.

gentlemen.
Alright /k/, it's time for a 1911 thread.
I'm sure it's going to attract plenty of...
>.45 worshipping reality deniers
>1911 worshipping fudds with a complex
>Glock worshipping tryhard shitposters
>Richfags shilling their hand fit retirement delayers
>Poorfags shilling their $400 filipino rattle traps
But I think it's worth the risk.
Post your 1911's, discuss parts, features, and brands.
I'll start things off.
Anyone here have a 9mm 1911? I've been seriously considering picking one up for range use. I've got a gucci polymer gun that I use for shooting IDPA and such, and while it's a great gun in every practical way I find it just doesn't make my dick move.
I absolutely love shooting my bare bones 10mm 1911 but it's expensive to feed, so I was thinking a 9mm 1911 might be the perfect range pistol.
Unrelated, seems like 10mm is coming back big time. Almost every manufacturer now seems to be offering some 10mm options, where just a few years ago they were few and far between. Is 10mm going to assume it's rightful place as the one true alternative to 9mm?
I had a 9mm 1911 briefly and it was a very soft easy shooting pistol would suggest but you might as well just get a .22 kit if you want to save money, the 9 is very tame in a 5 inch
>>34892496
I've got a Ruger MKIII for plinking with .22, 9mm is cheap enough for the most part.
What model was yours?
>>34892574
raped rock island .38 super i converted with a cheap barrel, mags, and springs. Worked pretty good with ball but i sold it once i got my Colt .45 and i dont have any other 9mms
Post 'em!
Here's my three .380's, though I now have 2 PT738's, they were less than $180 each and function.
The colt 1908 is a dream to shoot, 1927 Mfg,though it has been refinished it has the wood grips, and i got it for $308 at cabelas of all places. no regrets.
Bersa thunder is a bersa thunder, was a gift when i turned 21, nothing too special but it works.
>>34892329
>Colt '08 vs. Tokarev
Which would win... and why do I've the notion that the Tokarev's a ripoff of the '08, anyway?
close up of the 1908. really like the feel and weight of this thing, despite being almost as big as the bersa, its slim profile is much easier to fit into a pocket, only real complaint is the thumb safety is basicaly useless, if it at least had the bump that 1911A1's came with it would be much better and still super skinny. grip safety works well enough and the trigger although light is on the heavier side of light, but not bad.
Can anyone recommend any gun related books that are well written? Nothing military related, but books on firearms themselves, or notable firearm designers. More modern stuff is preferred, I've read up on a lot of pre 1900 firearms books
pic only slightly related

Is that a barrel from a heck of a shotgun?
>>34892054

why didn't the Nazis use shotguns?
Too butthurt that the Americans rekt them with shotguns in the last war.
>>34891248
FPBP. The nazis thought they were low class weapons for barbarians
Because nobody did. The US had limited use of 1897s and auto 5s in the pacific, but in Europe shotguns were basically unseen outside of POW camp use. They weren't really applicable to the wide open and highly mobile nature of the European theater.
I'm planning on getting an israeli gas mask for being prepared to defend myself incase the libtards starts lobbing chlorine gas at random non libtarded civilians but I'm in a bind here.
There is the civilian version which has the circular lens and the voice emitter behind the gas mask and the drinking straw on the right alond with the filter located in the bottom center of the mask.
Then you got the military one that has the triangular lens and the voice emitter is on the front.
I want to know which one is cosmetically and physically better and why. I like the civilian version because it has that stalker look and that creep factor to it.
Also gas mask thread.
Doesn't matter.
Just be sure to get brand new 40mm filters, preferably biological and synthetic toxic combo -protective ones.
>>34890910
asbestos or go home.
accept no substitutes.
>>34890910
I had the civilian one and sold it, the military version is what you want because the filter goes on the cheek and not in front of your face.
Having the filter on the side allows you to aim a rifle, on the civilian version, the big bulky filter will get in the way of this.
Sup /k/unts, /out/ist here.
Is it possible to put down a moose with hollow point 22lr?
>Remington Nylon 66 semi-automatic rifle with 400 rounds of .22LR hollowpoint ammunition
Would hollow-point lr even penetrate the skull?
Word is this faggot did it, but he was a gigantic faggot and all we have to show for it are his notes:

Bumpu.
I used to pronounce Heckler and Koch with Koch sounding like "Scotch" without the S
I used to and still sometimes pronounce AUG like the Kremlings dying in Donkey Kong Country https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=82nj5bLOrYs
"Ogh"
I used to say "Guh-rand" instead of "Gerrand"
>>34890855
Oh, I also used to say "Guh-ew-er" instead of "Ge-ver"
>>34890855
I've been pronouncing "t-34" wrong for years. I thought it was "Tee Thurdy Four"
In actuality, it's pronounced "Commie piece of shit"
