What are some of the ways the internet has changed gun culture? Before the internet, the only information you got was from authority figures, like publishing houses, military training films, instructors who taught in-person classes, and periodical columnists. You had to accept whatever they said because there was no other point of view for you to hear. If you wanted to educate yourself, you had to make the effort to actually call companies like Sierra and ask them what kind of bullet or powder was most appropriate for a particular handload. If you wanted to know the actual barrel diameter for a particular cartridge, you had to call SAAMI and ask for a spec sheet. Now, the internet has given everyone a voice. This is a blessing and a curse. Anyone can say false things about guns online, but the proliferation of wrong information has caused many of us to develop an immunity to it. Folks are more skeptical about fuddlore now than they were before.

Yes it's possible but kind of a pain in the ass and I wouldn't recommend doing it yourself without gunsmithing tools and experience. Your best bet would be to send it to S&W and have them do it for you.

it'd just shoot the bullet out forward at very low velocity, the chamber would still be supporting the round enough to build up some pressure but it would barely burn the powder and since the only way for the pressure to escape is out the case mouth it'd just pop the bullet out.

I just bought a Glock 43 to replace my Sig P230 as my every day carry gun. Are there any recommended upgrades I should look into? It came with factory tritium sights for an extra 50 dollars. I'm also using an Alien Gear holster (swapping the shell for free).

I'm sure there's been discussion on this, but I found nothing currently with CTRL+F.
I have a Vietnam-era Colt parts kit that is missing a barrel and a few components from the lower receiver. I found websites selling automatic M16 fire control groups, and I am wondering what parts are legal to own and which ones will piss off the ATF?
I'm trying to put this Colt together as faithfully as possible, but I do not want to land myself in trouble. Can I use an M16 BCG? What about the safety selector, disconnects, and trigger?

Just as long as you don't drill a 3rd pin and it can't accept an auto sear you'll be fine.

FA BCG, hammer, and lower receiver(minus auto sear hole) are perfectly legal to use.

In my limited experience, humidity control is much less important than keeping your guns oiled. My safe is definitely dry inside but if I handle a dry gun and don't wipe it off I can get surface rust in a couple days.
Dessicant packs don't hurt though, and they're cheap.
