What do you think of this quote on modern war (no tl;dr):

War is no longer great. It has no great men, great leaders, or great divisions. It has great technology and great political sensitivity, but it is no longer great.

Long gone are the great soldiers of old. Men that inspired courage and fortitude in the face of battle as well as inspiring brashness in the face of obstinate superiors have been replaced with risk averse political lap dogs. Long gone are the great weapons of old. Weapons that a young man would become best friends with as he was heading off to fight the opposing young man with his own weapon are now as inspiring as concrete slabs. Great ships of old are sunk, no longer are sea battles conducted with the roar of cannon and the wits of captains and admirals but rather they are no longer conducted at all. Even the legendary cavalry, which was once on horseback but turned to tanks, no longer advances on other armored groups but rather demolishes the buildings of ragtag irregulars ill equipped to fight back.

All modern war is the political surgical removal of opposing forces domestic to a foreign country. Modern war is not great. Modern war is costly in lives, money, and time with little results to show for said cost. Modern war, is simply modern.

What do you nerds think about about the M14e2? The pistol grip would certainly be nice but does that fal style stock make it awkward. Also I probably would put it on the 18" scout version.

I'm not trying to make one. Not sure if you can even find the stocks easily though. But maybe treeline gets then in once a blue moon. You think the fal stock may fuck with your sight picture with this m14 irons?

I prefer a 338 lapua with a straight pull bolt, telescoping-fiberglass buttstock (full auto synthetic carbon steel//silenced ofcourse), with a 40x optic (non adjustable) and ofcourse no bipod. I prefer to use an unpod.

When will the "Muhreenz are better than Rangers" meme fucking die
>No, just because you passed a 13 week obstacle course doesnt makw you SOF
>No, Rangers are not LARPing to be marines
>Yes, MARSOC is pretend SEALS
>No, you arent destroying 60% of the armed forces during an invasion. The marine corps has fucked up all of the Invasions when they where on their own since WWII
>You were too slow in Iraq, and got stuck crossing the river into Nassiriya, resulting in the Army 82nd and 101st getting cut off from the rest of the army going into Baghdad because the USMC wasnt there
>You should be half your size. We need a rapid Maritime interventionalist force, not a second Army

Op has the opportunity to buy a Hungarian FEG PA-63 Makarov copy for about 150$.

Are these handguns worth it? Are they reliable?
How does the 9x18 do in self defense?

And most importantly, should I hold out and look for a russian or german version?

I know it's not the same model, but my p64 runs flawlessly. My only gripe is it kicks the brass 15 feet up in the air. I bought it for a little over $250 and am completely satisfied with it.
>>
>>34904796
These are not "makarov copies". If anything they're ppk copies. They're reliable, but the double action trigger is absolutely awful. It's very challenging to be accurate with the first shot although they're inherently accurate guns (mechanically). The upside is that if you can master the trigger on one of these, you could probably transition to any other double action trigger and be great. 9x18 is fine. It's somewhere between .380 and 9mm. Also check out the p83 wanad and real makarovs. They'll only run you like $100 more.

I remember when I was 16 and I thought I would never have an AR. I thought the best I was ever going to get was my Dads Mini 14.

12 years later, and I have plenty. Other than the SBR, I've procured all these fine rifles in less than a years time. I've got modern rifles with rails and red dots and all that fancy shit, but I've really taken a liking to the plain jane old school shit lately.

Years and years of workin for the man.

With recent events i've been worrying about my safety and i'm looking into getting a ccw. Does anyone have any suggestions for a good light gun that's not too heavy or poorly made? I checked out a sig p232 but it was too stiff and heavy for me.

I love the idea of a woman carrying a P232 but probably your best bet is something like a Walther PPS or something like that: single stack and polymer frame. There are a few options. Or there is also aluminum alloy like CZ 2075 RAMI

Anyone get the $200 Ruger American from PSA?

Is it a good gun?

Ex-GF had one. Superb action, very accurate, has 10/22 sights. Metal is well finished for a .22 these days. The fact that it uses 10/22 mags means they mount flush and it's pretty nice to carry - although the release does protrude a bit.

The cons - the stock is absolute shit, and the bolt handle sits quite proud of the action and falls open easily if carrying it cooked and locked. It's best carried on an empty chamber with the striker down.

If I had one I'd mod it with a laminate stock and smaller mag release. That'd make it one of the nicest small game guns you can get IMO.

Hey guys, i need help.

I've got a CZ35 .380 in my house a long time ago, but I don't have te license to have it.
In the country where I live, to have a gun for personal safety, you must acredite in the police headquarters that your life is in danger, so you need it for protecting yourself.

So, I got 2 options:

>Invent a history for telling cops that my life is in danger so thats why I have a gun

>Still having my CZ35 illegally (fees for not having license are around 30000-60000€)

What should I do?

Find another legal way to obtain a gun, then have a habit of cleaning it very often as the reason of why you had the gun around easily accessible in case something happened.
Which country?
>>
>>34904427
Fuck them they dont have a right to your property, according to Natural Law (The Laws of the Universe) you have the right to be able to defend yourself. So Id say just keep it and find a good hiding place for it incase cops ever search your house for some bullshit reason.
