There's enough anti-nazi/anti racism sentiment in this country to overthrow the surface level government in three days because people are stupid enough to think that it's fascist, whatever the hell that means. But first, a few things will happen.

Left wing protesters will gather in a large crowd, and then a few of the higher ranked individuals, who are still on the protesters' side, will shoot at them, probably while larping as nazis or cops. (fyi, almost anyone who looks like a nazi is a larping leftist).

Then they'll show up with guns...LOTS of guns, at the next event (no events in DC from then on). The police, forced and ordered to try to contain the riots (in multiple cities) instead of just letting it fizzle out and cause a bunch of damage, will have to be armed with machine guns. After some time and maybe a few peaceful but tense events like this, someone will start shooting, and it won't be clear where from, and both groups will start mowing each other down.

Some time will pass. A week to a month. Then, with no warning or announcement, a vast number of leftists will appear, armed with guns, grenades, radios, and tactical gear. They will congregate in the centers of large cities, and with the backing of the gangs, the corrupt city and state governments, and the global elite, they will spread outward. 50% of the population will fall under their control overnight. That is how the civil war is going to begin.

i've not used their form 1 service but ive used them multiple times for form4 stuff and they are a top notch company to deal with. they answered all my questions quickly, and made my experience with buying suppressors as easy as it can get.

Cause if you do it through them it's probably a wait time of about two months instead of the usual year.

I've got a very important question for /k/:

Alright, so I just got into the whole AR bullshit thing. I was in the Army over a decade ago, and I swear on all things good and holy I remember pic related being called a "bolt carrier assembly".

When the hell did this change? Why did this change? Or did it not change and I'm just an idiot with a defective memory?

About to bump fire for the first time, my only outdoor place to shoot is an hour north of where I live so I've known about this technique for months but never got the chance.

Of course it's impractical and a waste of money but it looks so fucking fun.

I want to know: is there anything I should know beforehand? If I hold the gun with a weak grip do I risk it raising up and shooting me in the face? Does it take practice or can it be accomplished on my first try?

I'm planning on trying with an AR and sidefolding AK.

I'm gonna buy a weapon light for my Mossberg 590a1 and I wonder if it's worth the extra dosh for IR?

I don't have night vision...might be years before I can justify having a set and the shotgun is mainly for home defence and around the property.

As a civilian and security guard, is it worth my money or is just needed for soldiers and LEO doing no nock raids?

Is there any reason IR would help me hunting and survival?

Hi /k/. I'm currently writing a little story that involves guns and I have a couple questions that you might have answers to.

1. Were black powder/muzzleloading rifles louder than modern firearms? I've been told that the sound is more like a "boom" than the "crack" of modern ammo, but I've heard nothing about the volume. I've never been around one in person and it's hard to gauge how loud it is in a video.
2. Would a pistol being fired inches from someone's unprotected ear cause them to go permanently deaf?

And as long as I'm asking stuff, is there a way someone could fashion functional earplugs only from things they've found in the woods? Packing mud in their ears or stuffing leaves in there or something?

Was really about the same, black powder muzzle loaders tended to fire heavier projectiles at a slightly slower velocity, partially to reduce chamber pressure. This also makes the momentum/kick larger since P = mv while KE = mv2/2.

Modern firearms can damage hearing too. Honestly you wouldn't notice much difference. Wounding was slightly different since service rifles tended to be ~.50-.58cal.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minie ball

We've had paper cartridges for hundreds of years. The earliest were a paper container that held premeasured amounts of powder, primer and bullet/wadding. Pour the powder and primer into their appropriate areas, then ram the wadding and bullet. No guesswork required, very consistent results that are militarily useful. Civil War gives the beginning of breach-loaders and cartridges that function similar to or identical to modern weapons. Civil war revolvers aren't any different from modern revolvers (aside from some safety additions).
>>
>>34910719
poor bait.

BP firearms are rarely reaching supersonic speeds namely because the energy went into momentum for heavier objects.

Yes a big BP beside your ear will damage it. In fact infantry lines were specifically structured NOT to place the muzzle beside the next guys head.

Why the fuck would anyone stuff mud in their ears when wool and beeswax exists?

Its pretty hard to damage your hearing instantly and forever outside of k fantasies and Hollywood using regular small arms. Prolonged stupidity is required.
