So I've liked the idea of this alarm clock since I first saw it. You have to shoot the target to turn off the alarm. Along with seeming like a fun way to start the day, it seems lint having to consciously aim will wake you up more than slapping a button. Only reason I didn't buy it years ago is I read it's shit and you can shoot in any random direction to turn it off.
But I was thinking of this again today, and it seems to me if I made one where I had to actually hit the target with, say, an airsoft gun, this would be good home defense training built until your daily routine. You'd get practice going from a dead sleep to reaching for and firing your gun. My only concern is if someone ever actually does break in, I'd reach for the airsoft by habit.
What do you guys think?

I wear glasses. Putting it far enough away from my bed to allow for a challenge would render it impossible for me to read the time if I'm in bed.
This will be cool until one day you wake up half-drunk on your day off and you have to smash the damn thing to get back to sleep.

The target doesn't necessarily have to be by the clock, as long as it's connected
Reforms are now being replaced by high rates of desertion and probably bro raping conscripts as a form of hazing.
Highlights from the article below:
>desertion rates in Russian military are rising at alarming rate
>India-tier living conditions, long deployments, and lack of replacements
>these are contracted, "professional" soldiers. not conscripts
>Russian Army tricks conscripts into signing contracts by making their lives shit and telling them it gets better if they sign the paper
>" commanders made life difficult for the soldiers at the Kadamovsky training area by forcing them to sleep on boards and depriving them of adequate food and water, with the result that they suffered from frequent colds"
>men already serving as contract soldiers dissuade them, if anything were to happen to them while fighting in Ukraine, army brass would write them off or declare them deserters who had been killed by land mines while running away
Slavs have begun a return to good ol' British impressment. Ukraine isn't even a high intensity conflict. Say what you will about the US and goat herders, but at least the US military doesn't fall apart when they get dicked by toothless farmers.
How can butthurt Putinbots run damage control on weak Russian army?

Can anyone identify this rifle? At min 1:30.

Just an AR15. Magwell looks too short for an AR10.
Sup /k/, quick question,
should I unstring my bow after I'm done shooting? What are some factors to consider? Its a recurve btw
>>34923930
Well, if you leave the bow stringed you're leaving tension on it, and putting unnecessary wear on it. Just unstring it once you're done.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eW_M2MS5hJU
>>34923930
are you retarded as fuck? you shouldn't unstring your bow. The constant stringing and unstringing will ruin the bow in the matter of weeks
>>34923988
I've been unstringing my bow for years with no problem. Don't know what you've been doing.
What's your excuse for not owning a bolt action 30-06?
>excellent for target shooting
>can hunt any animal in existence
>>34923924
>OBSOLESCENT AMMO
>>34923960
In what way?
>>34923924
.308 is cheaper and I don't plan on hunting at extended ranges.

Ever notice that CTG and the autsimo crew never actually show them shooting their prohibs?
>paying for dewats
wew lads.
Would you get in trouble if you fitted a roomba with a shotgun and programmed it to shoot intruders, and then it successfully did shoot an intruder?
Are there any laws against creating your own defense system?
>>34923865
yes there are laws against setting traps. first responders get upset when they fall prey to them.
>>34923865
how are you going to program it to not shoot you
stoopid
>>34923876
Have some sort of remote that has a don't shoot signal
I bought my first ar 15 the other day I'm just waiting for it to come in. I own several other guns just never an ar till now.
I'm wondering what type of optic i should get for it?
I was gonna buy a red dot but I'm thinking i could get a decent ar scope for it and now i can't decide.
What would /k/ suggest for a first ar optic?
Was gonna buy the vortex strikefire 2, then possibly a magnifier later on
Primary Arms, they do IG videos almost every day and you can talk with them. 3x red dot for 0-400 yards, 5x red dot for 500-800
>>34923826
Palmetto state just had a deal on these, $179 and 10 Pmags
Hey /k/, There's a Lee Enfield No4 Mk1 in my LGS that's going for 175 (tax included).
Pic related was the only thing holding me back from buying it out right. Something looks like its missing. Am I right or am I just being paranoid?
>>34923701
Somebody fucked it good.
>>34923711
Enlightening. Care to elaborate?
>>34923701
I was going to ask why someone would do this, but then the store I worked at has two fucked up no4 mk1s. One isn't that bad and can be saved after about 150 bucks in parts, but the other is beyond saving.
>Equipped with body armor, boots, and underwear
>No range weapons
>You win, you walk free
>You lose you die a honorless death
What do you enter the gladiatorial ring with? Remember you will most likely have to fight fellow humans as well as animals.
Armor you and your enemies will have
OP is a faggot, a spear is the only correct answer, and >>34923607 is shitty armor in this tyoe of setting.
So this is what the milsurp market has come too
>>34923351
There are LE 6920s for that price. Weird damn world we live in.
Huh my cabelas has about 9 of those for 500. Not sure if it's quality or because they have so many.
No, that's what the gander mountain and cabelas market is
Those stores routinely charge 200% MSRP and then put things on sale for an amazing 40% off...
And wonder why they're going out of business
$400 is what you'll usually find a yugo for, or somewhere in that range.
Is it still expensive compared to what you could get them for 15 years ago? Yes, but so is everything else.
It was inevitable that the supply was going to dry up eventually.
Find new cheap guns or pay the price, but for christ sake quit bitching. Of course prices are going to go up when the government will no longer surplus its obsolete stocks to us, importing is much more heavily regulated and tariffed and and and thanks to the domestic lobby, and there isn't an entire continent of slave labor production churning the things out by the millions anymore.
Time for another "How'd I do /k/?"
Got at a gun show for ~$400 new in box
For conceal carry btw
>>34923333
czecked
how's the trigger reset on that? have you magdumped yet?
>>34923408
I can't go shooting until next weekend ;_; but according to some YouTube stuff the pull/reset are really long because it's double action only

>Ribbed for your pleasure.
Would have said ak handguard but with filename I guess its for a shotgun.
>>34923329
Yep, but the real question is which one
My nephew was given this by his grandfather. I know the mouth measures 25mm, but there's no markings on the head. Im hoping to tell him what munition it sent and maybe what system sent it
>>34923135
>>34923135
25x137 for the Bushmaster and similar. Caliber and lot info is stamped in ink on the shells.
I know very little about guns except how to handle them, I'm just looking for something to have at my house for safety and possibly bring to the range.
Can't go wrong with a Mossberg shotgun, or a Ruger 10/22
.22 carbine with iron sights. Learn to shoot. 10/22 are ok, many would consider bolt or lever action to avoid a "spray and pray" tendency.
