Why was the P39 considered dogshit in the PTO but king shit in the ETO?
>>33205270
Flat spins and slavs.
>>33206129
Are you saying the Airacobra could squat?
Most Soviet aces used Aircobras
I know that this sounds like a stupid question, but can you use an AR 15 chamber brush on other 5.56 guns that are not ARs?
>>33205159
Why would you not be able to?
>>33205159
No Nigga, you will damage the guns mojo
>>33205159
I didn't know the mentally retarded were able to own guns.
Just bought my first gun.
Mossberg 500.
Tacticool tips???
>>33205070
It's a fucking shotgun dude, a shell carrier on the stock, a sling and maybe a light?
Imo pistol grips don't really add to it, they're not more comfortable or make the gun more maneuverable, and the stock forend is just as good as good as the top aftermarket ones, maybe a thinner one if you have manlet hands but mine aren't big and can comfortably grasp the forend.
It's the best all purpose scatter gat on the market and any significant improvement will cost you nearly as much as the gun itself.
>>33205134
Pic related, my 500
>>33205070
I like the ESSTAC velcro shotgun cards. Holds the rounds well, has a strip of rubber underneath the shells to keep them secure under recoil, no issues with the cards falling off as long as you're using a good strip of industrial loop velcro on your receiver.
Why don't tanks use small detachable recon drones?
Relax Command & Conquer Generals.
>>33205032
It has been in the drawing boards for quite some time. Will it ever be implemented into an AFV, that's an other question...
>>33205032
because unlike you imagine things, tanks do not go into battlefield alone. There has to be command and control element who is also in task of recon. There is infantry which acts as a support for tanks and who also have eyes of their own and operate small UAVs of their own. Big drones are in the air as soon as you get air superiority going on and they will be there 24/7. It is not like a tank decides fuck it boiz, going to push forward this blind conrer and go up that street when nobody is watching, you know, my threads are getting cold...

So you are outnumbered by the red horde 15-1.
No guns.
What is the most practical weapon? The Alt Night here fucked up, his "flagpole" was pine and it broke after only removing 2 communists.
How could the last son of the west prepared or operated more correctly?

What's /k/'s thoughts on the PE57?
Ian recently did a video and he said it was quite good.

Wants to talk about the civilian version, posts the military version.
>>33204757
It's basically the same thing.

Why did the Soviets never make anything that was on par with the F-4?
Nothing they ever produced during its service life was as useful or versatile as the Phantom.
MiG-21?
>>33204680
Mig-21bis?
>>33204703
The MiG-21 doesn't really compare, being a single engine interceptor that lacks the range and carrying capacity of the Phantom. While it could be used for ground attack, it was not very stable and never got the guided AG missile capabilities the F-4 got later in its life.
Hello, /k/! I wanted to ask you all about infantry-portable anti-tank weapons during the Second World War.
My understanding is that ant-tank rifles, like the Soviet PTRD-41, were pretty common. I always thought that these guns were ineffective against the armor of non-scout tanks- only able to go through 30mm or so of armor. What allowed these firearms to persist if they couldn't take out the targets they were designed to take out?
A second, more broad question is: which nations that participated in the war were best able to prepare their infantry to take out enemy armor? I'm curious about both effectiveness of the weapons, and general distribution- how common were these weapons.
Failing that, I'd be interested in seeing any infantry-portable anti-tank weapons (both WW2-era and pre/post WW2). I'm not very familiar with this subject, and I'd like to learn more.
>>33204604
they could take out a tank tread, or at least red orchestra taught me that
maybe just disabling the vehicle was good enough
>>33204617
Huh- I had not thought about that. Taking out a tread won't stop the gun(s) from firing, but it'll definitely keep the tank in place.
>>33204638
Taking out the tread makes it a whole hell of a lot easier to knock out the tank, so the rifles definitely had their place
Well?
>>33204603
Ruskies every tiem. That farmer man was one in a hundred million. Not many like him and probably won't be anyone like him for a good long time.
How do you even get that many kills?
>>33204616
What did he really do that was special?
He made snow embankments to be flush with the end of his rifle, ate snow to hide his breath and had a fuckton of patience
Be it gun melee or makeshift comical prop
>>33204497
A gun. Gtfo newfag or Europe.
Icbm of course
I hate people that do this shit, it doesn't help anything.
>suitcasenuke.jpg
Fuck. I can't decide whether or not to pick up that $450 Ruger AR at SG. My friends who I mostly go shooting with anyway both have ARs, but I don't have one. It seems redundant to get the exact same gun as them though.
But I feel like this is near the cheapest a complete AR is going to be. Should I just jump on it?
>>33204395
SG?
>>33204395
450 your steeling at that price
>>33204408
Sportsmans guide. Didn't want to seem too shilly.
I guess its only $480 if you're not in their gay club, though.
/k/anada fag here.
also first time gun buyer
just recently got my PAL card and thinking about getting a Mosin Nagant, I hear a lot of pros and cons about this rifle but I can't NOT buy one seeing as how it's a 200$ rifle and the ammo is dirt cheap, but I need some better opinions on this rifle before I go spending money I could be spending on something a little better for my first gun. Some of the bad things I heard about this rifle is
Sticky bolt
Bad sights
Hard to clean/maintain
Something about cosmoline being bad and hard to remove
i appreciate any serious help on buying the perfect first rifle also remember I am in Canada so my choices are limited
>>33204162
You can also get a Russian sks for this price buy an sks instead
Buy something cool like a mauser 71/84. that way you dont need to go through all the paper work to buy it or ship it
>>33204162
AusFag here, Sticky bolt is dependant on a few things , can be cosmoline or some kind of mechanical issue , but neither my 91/30 nor M38 has sticky bolt , sights are bad , easy to clean , cosmoline is a pain to remove.
Other than that , I enjoy owning both mosins
what does /k/ think about Taurus?
are their guns reliable for the cheap price?
>>33204029
yeah just some older ones had quality control issues.
Went to buy a tcp yesterday. Put on delay. Waiting on a proceed.
>>33204029
My buddy wants to get a Taurus 380 because he likes my kahr p380. I don't know how to talk him out of it. He's a grown man and so am I, I am just trying to help a friend not make an abortion purchase.
Hey /k/ gonna make myself a Black Pipe next time i pass a Bunnings, any1 know where i can get Ammo or how to make it? Im in aus and cant be fucked getting a licence
>>33203832
How to make ammo, that is
I dunno if there are any ID check laws about Pasload nailgun power loads, but those do exist.
>>33204099
